Ergonomics are better on controller as well as the much shorter distance your thumb has to travel versus your entire hand on a stick. Every single game is like this for him. It's always "I never did this, I never did that, the game sucks online, the inputs dropped, it's laggy, the game did this" etc like it's so bad, all of this to "prove" he isn't bad. He even says it himself that it's always consistent and there were issues when playing with new parts or fight stick. It is literally him but his ego just won't let him accept it.
Let me ask you this, if a game played like this, to the point its unplayable, would you still not only keep playing it but also buy another copy of the game and 2 arcade sticks for 200 and 400$?
The fact that he is amazed by RGB lighting is so incredibly enjoyable to me. This idiot owns a PS5 which has RGB lighting on both the console itself and the controllers. How is this a groundbreaking development for literally anyone, it's standard in most PCs (and honestly I wish it wasn't I don't need a window into my tower) but I guess the guy really is a 5 year old at heart.
Phil won’t go out of his way to show news articles and important Twitter posts for his podcasts, but he’ll go into extreme detail over showing a few lights.

The instructions asked him to take a pen and paper or open the notes app to write down his answers. He grabbed his phone and opened the notes app. The first question is read out along with 3 possible answers. He pauses the video to discuss them, then continues. The second question is read out but DSP out of confusion pauses the video. Why?? Because he has no clue whether he should write anything down 🤦.

As someone who plays fighting games, I just wanted to add my two cents here:
I also have a fightstick, and it actually cost more than Phils. Mine is $550 total, but that's because it's entirely custom. It has all Sanwa parts: Sanwa lever, Sanwa quiet buttons. But the casing is reinforced and I can easily lift the bottom in case I need to fix it, it has a custom grip on the bottom, and custom artwork on the face. A friend of mine built it, and I ordered the parts; she did an amazing job.
But that's a CUSTOM job. Phil bought it $400 STOCK, which amazes me. He built sticks in the past, iirc, so If he was more invested and wasn't lazy, he'd have swapped with Qanba parts for Sanwa parts, with each part individually costing... I wanna say less than $100, but that depends on what kind of lever and buttons he wants to get. So he actually wasted more money that he should have. And again, he just wanted to change the LEVER, but got pissed and bought a whole ass fightstick.
He clearly bought that fightstick out of frustration, because he bought a new lever and was too stupid to know how to fit it. I wasn't around when it happened, but I'm told that he tried to fit a new lever into his old stick and couldn't fit it and got ass mad. But what he should have did was measure the width of the lever then cut it out himself. There are tons of tutorials out there that show you how to maintain and switch out parts. But Phil's a narcissist and is too... mentally unequipped to understand basic directions.
And at the end of the day, it's not the tech, it's how you execute on it. I played fighting games for 16 years, five of which I played on a competitive level. I played an I-No player in Guilty Gear Accent Core that used a cusomized Guitar Hero guitar. Initial T players Street fighter 4 one an Initial D racing wheel. I've seen someone play Blazblue using a computer keyboard, and I've seen someone do in Iron-Man infinite in MvC2 with a soundboard. You can have the best fightstick in the world, but it means jack shit if you lack basic fighting game fundementals and execution, and this proved it. Phil bought a $400 fightstick, and still stacks more L's than a game of Tetris. It's pathetic. He needs to drop SF6 and play something else.
His Obsidian 2 already has Sanwa parts, so it was pointless to get a new fightstick that uses THE SAME PARTS!
To clarify what he did before this fuck up, he tried to swap his Obsidian 2's lever from a Sanwa to his previous fs' Hayabusa lever, which was incompatible with the Obsedian 2. Had he done research first he would have not had to open the thing up. But again, NOTHING WAS WRONG with the Sanwa lever in the first place, so all pigroach did was find an excuse to waste his money one again. Also, he nicked one of his buttons which was also Sanwa; any sane person would just order a new button, but instead he buy an entirly new fightstick, which uses parts from his Obseidan 2!

Dudes have won tournaments on everything from PS1 pads to racing wheels and Phil needs the most expensive kit, even when mid-grade sticks still come stock with Sanwas (or at least very good clones) for a fraction of the price.
All Sanwa parts are "Sanwa Denshi", that's the name of the company. There are no grades of Sanwa parts, they are all the same. That victrix has the same hardware as the obsidian.
But it has lights. And it was expensive and therefore better.
