It's so weird seeing all these familiar places with lighting that is actually nice
It makes a difference, eh? :)
I showed this to my eleven year old sister and she said "wow, that looks really hard." Yes, Jules. It WAS hard.
You're welcome, Caroline!🤣
(and you _crushed_ your scene)
@@ChrisHartwell That reminds me...I still need to edit my scene...
@@flippadipdip Hmm... *opens up final grade*
I do not know much about film theory. I love movies and story telling. Unfortunately I am not in the film business and I guess I am to old and to scared to get into it. If I see this film about a film I understand myself why I love movies. This barebone dialog evolving into a heartbreaking scene that made my cry. Thank you for this wonderful homework and be the force with you. Always.
Filmmaking is indeed a tough _industry_ and next to impossible to break into. Fortunately, if there is a passion simply to tell stories in the medium, very little is stopping us. Pull out your phone and film something :D
So glad that you found the scene moving!
A little late but just wanted to say really good insights! What I came to realize again from your short film is just how important it is to show not tell. Only 2 words were said but the rest was visual and non-verbal. Nice work!
Thanks! I completely agree - this is a _visual_ medium and we should, as often as possible, capitalize on that!
Another terrific video from my favourite channel and Chris. ❤ Brisbane. 🇦🇺
Coming from the position of a retd musicologist, the accompanying score’s essential. It adds tremendous depth here; specifically grounding us in reflection, one of the motivations behind this….
_Such_ high praise! Thank you so much :D
And _yes_ I love the score too and absolutely agree it adds _so_ very much!
I loved this! So different, and creative to see.
Hey, thanks! There is more headed your way soon 👈🏼👈🏼😎
@@ChrisHartwell can't wait!
this is cool
kinda wanna try this just for my own practice lol
You 110% should! It’s a blast and a great creative workout!
Beautifully done, and inspiring. Your students are blessed to have you as a teacher.
Hey, thanks Ralph! They're a blessing to me as well!
He is six years old already?!? 🤯
Right?! I really dunno how it happened!
