I actually found this extremely motivational and inspiring. I personally don't want to make a film per se, but I would like to one day write a script that can get successfully sold. This video gives a lot to think about and consider. I appreciate it, and thank you for the time you put into it. Thank you
Hey Chris, your content has been beyond inspirational to me as both an artist, and individual. Your Hobbit video from way back when got me into fan-editing, which got me into screenwriting, then filmmaking. Right now I'm 17 years old, and has produced 4 short films, and two feature lenght screenplays, one off which I hope I can bring to life after I finish school. However, I have no idea how to go about that in the slightest. I would love your take and some advice if you would be kind enough to take the time out off your day, and thank you for helping me discover my passion for filmmaking.
so good to see you back! I loved your Hobbit cuts and you inspire me in my desire to be a filmmaker. I don't have the skills or the knowledge yet, but I know someday I'll get there
That's amazing to hear! The best way to build up those skills and knowledge is to start making things - make them _small_ and make them _simple_ but make something! All the best!
I started watching your videos 7 years ago when I was in high school. Now Im out of college and seeing you have made a feature and still glowing with enthusiasm, passion, and optimism brings me so much joy sir. Thank you for the energy you put out into the world and I cannot wait to watch your film and see whatever u have next. I hope you’re having a great day👊🏻😉❤️
So, I have a job where I'm quite unhappy and I always wanted to make films. I was just saying to myself that I have to start somewhere in my film making journey or I'll be stuck here forever. I opened youtube and your video came up. I was laughing and telling myself that now I Have to start making my film. :). Great video Chris. Really helpful advice.
@@ChrisHartwell Yes I do have. Just don't know where to start. And the fear of not knowing a specific process to go about it makes you not to even begin in the first place.

So glad to hear that! Is your current job in the entertainment industry, in some way?
@@ChrisHartwell Nam man. Far from it. I'm a customs officer. :)
@@theotherabhimanyu Dude! I bet you've got some interesting stories from your time doing that... maybe even something worth developing into a film?
