How could you have left out the "nose scrunching, girlfriend wannabe" of Dobie Gillis,...Zelda? She always had a crush on Dobie....but he could never see himself with her but could never stop himself from returning the "small girl's" (as Krebs called her) nose scrunch. I always think, as many did, that Dobie returned her feelings but never wanted to in lieu of more "beautiful" but "out of his league" girls. She and Maynard G. Krebs, were my 2 favorite characters!
It’s been off the air for well over a century??? And you showed Warren Beatty, who played Milton Armitage instead of the actor and character you were speaking of.
More mistakes than an Ai-narrated clip. Besides all the other errors mentioned, you mispronounced "Thaila", and left out the "G" in Maynard G Krebs, and the "Jr." in Chatsworth Osborne, Jr.

I'm very surprised that there's no mention of Sheila Kuehl who played Zelda Gilroy since she was basically a main cast member alongside Dwayne Hickman and Bob Denver for not only the run of the entire series but also the specials to come such as Bring Me The Head Of Dobie Gillis
Maynard G Krebs an absolutely enduring memory for me, and please not 100 years, perhaps 50 & a bit. !! & what about Zelda where is that little goddess, I was under 10 years old, but I was head over heels for that gal & I can remember that cute little screwed up nose and pigtails a wonderful memory for me “yanks”
Steve Franken died in 2012, not 2021. It was Aug. 24, and he was 80 years old at the time. William Schallert was 93 when he died, not 83. Tuesday Weld's character name was pronounced "Thayl-ya", not "Tall-ya".
It wasn’t my favorite show but when I did watch a couple of episodes, Zelda and Maynard were the most memorable. William Shallert & Jean Byron were great on the Patty Duke Show as her parents. I loved Bob Denver on Gilligan’s Island. Doris Packer was also good as the principal on Leave It To Beaver and her role as a society lady on the Andy Griffith Show.
Steve Franken was also a constant guest star on Bewitched as several different characters, both mortal and warlock! When I was watching a marathon the Decades Channel was running of this show I got a kick out of a phenomenon that seemed to happen on several shows in 1962/63 season and that was Florida Freibus's hairdo getting very bouffant, similar to Barbara Billingsley on Leave it to Beaver and Marjorie Lord on The Danny Thomas Show around the same time!
Just to share some trivia, Tuesday Weld is related to former Massachusetts governor William Weld (3d cousins). And I’m glad she is still with us. Hope she’s doing well.
My favorite line was from Dobie's dad when Dobie was bugging him and he said to Dobie's mom, "They make mistakes all the time and the hospital just had to give us the right baby."
This is filled with errors ad omissions, the first claiming the show is over a century old. There were errors on ages at the tie of death of cast members. Omitted were several notable cast members such as Warren Beatty who was in the first season. Most surprising was not mentioning Sheila Kuehl who portrayed Zelda. She is currently 81 years old and was a noted politician in California.
Tuesday Weld played Thalia which is pronounced Tha/le/ah. The first syllable is a long "a." The second syllable is a long "e." The third syllable is a short "a." The narrator was very ignorant when he butchered her name. Steve Franken died in 2012- not 2021. The narrator did a terrible job of research.
Re: Doris Packer (Mrs. Clarice Armitage). In Spring 1972, I was on jury duty in Glendale, Calif. (You had to serve 30 calendar days then.) We actually served on one jury together. During voir dire, one of the attorneys asked: "Mrs. Packer, what do you do for a living?" In a booming voice she responded, "I am AN ACTRESS!" People had a lot of hate for Beatniks and Hippies. Mainly southerners. They used to get beat up a lot. Later on in early 70s a lot of people started growing their hair long and the hate died down. Now you see country and western singer's with long hair.
The actress who played Zelda is now a California official who is now under investigation for corrution. She is accused of giving no bid contracts to friends. Her home was raided by the coppers just a few days ago.
Sheila James Kuehl (Zelda) is a fine person. I wouldn't believe for a minute that she did anything underhanded or corrupt. Her entire life has been devoted to fighting for human rights, not just LGBTQ issues. I would be willing to bet that that raid on her home was based on her political, right wing enemies. She went up against the anti-gay policies of many powerful conservatives (like Arnold Schwartzenegger).
I remember Zelda! She was my favorite character. I loved her persistance in her pursuit of Dobie. Eventually she got her man and Dobie was a happy man!
Yes, your video confused the role of Chatsworth Osborn with shots of the Warren Beatty character. Beatty the only member of the cast that achieved superstardom.
