I just realized I forgot an entire song somehow, “Lesson Learned”, not sure how that slipped past me! It wouldn’t be very high in my ranking though, probably in the 50s. EDIT: I also used the Would? text for Them Bones accidentally which I just realized lol, my thoughts on Them Bones are that it’s my most played song on Spotify and it’s 2 minutes of perfection with not a single second wasted
@@imdownontheupsideGod damn it lmao, thanks for pointing this out. I had every song ranked and then when i shuffled the order before i made the video a bit I lost a few somehow
Shame in you, frogs, rotten apple, Rain when I Die, Sunshine and All I Am been on top list made me happy, although God am and Nutshell should be higher in the list imo, but thats the problem with this band, too many perfect songs XD. Solid list!
I was pissed that some of ones i loved were too low but i was also pissed because the ones that were in top were justified This is how good Alice in Chains is.
Great list! I'm glad to see Rain When I Die ranked that high, it doesnt deserve any lower, its such an amazing song and one of my favorites from any band ever.
I don't agree with all but you gave valid rationalizations for everything so it's a solid and enjoyable video, don't worry about people complaining you can't please everyone in these scenarios, happy to see appreciation for Sunshine and Shame in You - two of their most underrated imo!
Cool to see other people’s opinions on it, obviously mine would be much different but it all comes down to personal preference. I love the praise for Shame in You that song is so important to me. Something I love about that song is that it’s completely major even though it sounds minor
All i am, Rain when i die and Love, hate, love are 3 of my favorites I always though they were underrated its nice to see someone putting respect on those songs.
Some moments I may slightly disagree, but seeing Frogs and Shame In You and Over Now is something I’m all in for. Not that it’s necessary, but as I saw Frogs at 10, I subbed.
Yeah I absolutely love those 3 songs, honestly the whole top 10 could switch around on any given day cause I was definitely tempted to put Frogs and Over Now higher.
Thank you for not putting the normal #1's as #1. Rotten Apple is a fantastic song. With that being said, some bangers need to be up WAY higher IMO. Ex: Got Me Wrong
Honestly we have almost the same ranking, I'm really happy to see Rotten Apple so high (I have to say that the bass line is incredible on it), even Rainier Fog is well ranked, for me it's honestly a very good ranking My top 10 1 : The Rooster 2 : Rotten Apple 3 : Rainier Fog 4 : Would? 5 : Fly 6 : Check My Brain 7 : I Stay Away 8 : Brush Away 9 : Down In A Hole 10 : No Excuses (Yes i love Jar Of Flies so much, i bought the CD)
Especially appreciate the love for All Secrets Known. I was lucky enough to see them live in. 2010 and they started with that. Was awesome, fantastic comeback
This list is great for several reasons. It doesn’t shove the post - Layne stuff to the end of the list and put Dirt on an untouchable pedestal. A looking in View, Shame in you and Down in a Hole are my favorites.
First of all Credits to you for the Work. Well I cant make the whole list but maybe top 5/top 10. Shame in you was a Song I forgot totally...one of their weakest songst in my opinion. 1.Rotten Apple 2. I stay away 3. Them Bones 4. No excuses 5. Confusion 6. WE die young 7. Dirt (maybe the only or one of the few Songs where even I say ITS Not For every day...but when you are at Zero..IT Just Kills you and) 8.Again 9. The two Songs from the Soundtrack First in between while Confusion...Well I have to agree with you. After a Bad Break Up I rediscovered IT 2022. Place 1 was hard a decision...I really Love I stay away...thats how I felt Last year.
Man in the box I’ve probably just listened to a little too much at this point, but I still think they have a lot of songs that are better as amazing as it is
Not trying to be a dick here...but to have "I know something" at 77? There are NO songs with William that even come close to that song. Thanks for the video though!
I like the song alright but it’s just not one I ever really come back to. Respectfully, to say no songs with Will comes close to it sounds like you’ve just never really given the new stuff a fair chance, which I’ve seen a lot of people fail to do
@FutureCraze no I have, it's not good. I saw them on their first tour with Will 3 times. Once in Dallas, once in Oklahoma, and I flew to Seattle to watch them. I even met the guy in Tulsa...I've seen them a number of times since, he's just not Alice. I'm sorry. It's Jerry Cantrell and band now. I really gave it a chance. 😔
@@skotabig IDK about that one homie. A Looking in View has substantially more musical production quality and lyrical depth than I Know Something. I get you may favor that style of song because it fits the more cliche glam metal style from the 80s, but that's all that song is. It's a remanent of the OG Alice N' Chains hair-metal-days style. To say the stuff new Alice wrote as seasoned musicians with way better musical theory and production knowledge is "not good" in comparison to random stuff Jerry and Layne came up with as teenagers is objectively not true. You gotta stop living in the Layne days. The new stuff is good to.
@morgandavis4895 hey they are my fav band ever but we just disagree on it. Yhe harmony and the tag in I know Something is unlike anything that any band at that time had ever done. Love the convo though!
Finally All Secrets Known gets some praise. Objectively i don’t think it’s the best alice song but it is certainly my favourite. Every time the chorus kicks in i feel like im floating. One of the strongest comebacks ever imo
Excellent putting 1 and 3 entries at the top, but gutted you made Take Her Out the worst track off BGWTB. It's my favourite off that lower in quality album.
@@dumodumi4766Jar of Flies is my favourite project but full length album would probably have to be Tripod with Dirt at a super close second, what about you?

Sea of sorrow is top 10
fr
Ahh I love ‘Can’t Remember!’
in my top 10 easily
finally, someone gave Shame in You its due, it's a beautiful song, probably the band's darkest lyrics
This list is solid overall, but Sea of Sorrow is way too low I feel like, its guitar solo alone would be a top 10 song
My top 10 is
1-Would?
2-Sea of Sorrow
3-Rooster
4-Them Bones
5-I Stay Away
6-Bleed the Freak
7-Nutshell
8-Junkhead
9-Head Creeps
10-We Die Young
Respect for having Head Creeps in top 10. Such an underrated masterpiece.
I know something about you is fantastic. You don’t know what you’re talking about
Just opinions man I still like it
shame in you is an amazing song and i don’t understand why it doesn’t get as much recognition as other songs on that album
put you down imo is one of the most catchy AIC riffs ever
At least you made up for it by putting Rotten Apple first. That song was their peak
my top 5:
5. Head Creeps
4. Over Now
3. Angry Chair
2. Would?
1. Frogs - the saddest and most depressing song ive heard in my life
God Am It's the band's darkest song in my opinion, there's a huge emotional load from Layne in this song
Rooster is number 1 for me but this is an amazing video. Alice in chains are in the top 3 greatest bands ever for me to this day.
Leaving masterpieces like "Man in the box" "Would" and "No excuses" out of the top 10 was a weird one. 🤔
I can't remember is so good
Yeah, this guy is weird
Rain When I Die and Sunshine getting their flowers. Love to see it.
I Stay Away is easily top 3!
I Stay Away is my favourite AIC song, its the sonf that really got me into them
Good on you for having a go at this.
Personally, i think "Red Giant" is one of their best songs of the William era, if not in their entire catalog

The fact that their stuff with Duvall stacks up with the Layne era is a testament to how beautifully creative the group is
