I would say you definitely need to check random access memories ain't no way nothing at all from Daft punk isn't in this top 100
Also usually big fan of Kendrick and Lupe and Tyler the creator would probably also enjoy Kanye West a tribe called quest outkast
How is nothing from illmatic in here
If sing about me is so high I would imagine you would love at least half of illmatic
@videosbaisam you and me have the exact taste not even joking
So glad to see "Time" after "Time" after "Time After Time" great list!!!
Imo I would have time after time after time after time, but maybe that's just me
But time is better tho
This is the least offensive top 100 songs list ever
Atom Heart Mother is gonna make half the Pink Floyd fan base very happy and confuse the hell out of the other half
And all of them great. Some artists are not talented enough to create good songs, so they just go with offensive lyrics in order to be noticed.
Where is Doors, Velvet Undegroud, Cure?
Except there's only 3 women on the whole list
@@lutherfloyd597well it is the top 100 best songs
Theres something so funny about this list just being a bunch of dad rock radio hits and then a few random kendrick tracks thrown in

People need to do more of these. I like hearing from real people's recommendations, rather than Spotify's.
So true, I think that 99% of my favorite songs of my country I discover by recommendation of friends/cds/k7s.
There are some pretty good user playlists on Spotify, just gotta look for them
I think this list specifically could be mostly songs Spotify recommends
Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are living proof that when a long song is incredible no medium or short length song will ever compare, with very, very few exceptions.
? why those bands.... YES and Emerson, Lake and Palmer would like to have a word. please stop being a normie
also yes and king crimson
@@bobsbigboy_ I chose those bands because they are 1 and 4 respectively in terms of ranking for me, but I also like Yes and ELP. I don't know why you had to devalue my opinion simply on the basis that you don't perfectly agree with me.
@@bobsbigboy_ Yes and ELP are both popular lol

Johnny Cash's "Hurt" immediately followed by the original is such a W
As soon as that popped up I literally thought "good choice, but I'd've gone with the original personally" and then all of a sudden it was right there, lol
It´s like 2 different songs completely.
I didn’t know that Jonny Cash’s version was a cover. And the craziest part is that I’ve even listened to The Downward Spiral before, and somehow didn’t listen to that track I guess. I just found out watching this video.
the cash cover is increible and he totally rephrases it for where he was in his life, the the original is just unbeatable, maybe the saddest song I've ever heard
@@videosbaisam agreed, the Cash cover is literally the perfect example of what a good cover should be imo
NIN's is objectively better, both very different meanings. I feel like the keyboard and special effects on Trent's version gives it the upper hand. Plus, its also the original.
straight outta rateyourmusic
Having not a single song in your top 100 that is not considered great is so lame
A crazy mf named VideosBaiSam
@@simon4476Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't everyone's all-time favorite songs at least considered great by a sizeable amount of people? Or do you mean that their list just doesn't have enough obscure songs?
@@magnetmagnet4850this list plays it very conservatively look how many Pink Floyd Stevie wonder songs there are both deserve spots but you can name every song in the top 50 and there’s no controversy and of course he puts Kendrick while disrespecting 2pac and nas. music widely considered good is in fact good, shocker
King Crimson's Starless makes the top 10...as do God Only Knows and Shine On You Crazy Diamond--

Three Pink Floyd songs in the top 10, makes sense, that’s how good they are. Glad you put Brain Damage so high, sometimes I think it’s overshadowed by Time & Money
brain damage gets special treatment from me for being the first pink floyd song I heard
Time is probably the best Pink Floyd song, at least the best on its album. But that's just my opinion

@@se6369 imo 1- Shine on You Crazy Diamond
2-Time

What’s your top 5 favorite Bowie albums? I loved ziggy stardust and hunky dory and trying to figure out which album to listen to next.

Fantastic selection dude, really great taste. What I'm gathering from these comments though is that most people can't tell the difference between a "favorite" list and a "best" list. Like imagine telling someone your favorite song and then they say "nah, it should be (blank) instead"
lmao fr
1️⃣America - A Horse With No Name
2️⃣Adagio d’albinoni
3️⃣David Bowie - Ashes To Ashes
4️⃣Curtis Mayfield - Move On Up
5️⃣Steely Dan - Do It Again
all amazing and honestly shouldve been on here
Horse with no name may be one of the greatest songs ever.
Horse with no name heavenly
I told myself there is no way! I won't find anyone in the comments who hasn't mentioned Ashes to Ashes.
In a close race between the artists you used more than once, I counted more songs by Pink Floyd than anyone else.
And that's how good they are!
I'm literally shitting right now, so great OMG
Here are some that I would have on my list at the moment (one per band and in no particular order):
- Time - Pink Floyd
- Tomorrow Never Knows - The Beatles
- Epitaph - King Crimson
- Desolation Row - Bob Dylan
- Exodus - Bob Marley and the Wailers
- 1983...(A Merman I Should Turn To Be) - The Jimi Hendrix Experience
- The Weight - The Band
- Station To Station - David Bowie
- Halleluwah - Can
- Closer To Home (I'm Your Captain) - Grand Funk Railroad
- Maggot Brain - Funkadelic
- Heroin - The Velvet Underground
- White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane
- The End - The Doors
- The Sky Children - Kaleidoscope
- God - John Lennon
- Have You Ever Seen The Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
- Achilles Last Stand - Led Zeppelin
- Behind Blue Eyes - The Who
- Child In Time - Deep Purple
- War Pigs - Black Sabbath
- Tarkus - Emerson, Lake and Palmer
- South Side Of The Sky - Yes
- We're Going Wrong - Cream
- Gimme Shelter - The Rolling Stones
- All Things Must Pass - George Harrison
- So What - Miles Davis
- Take Five - Dave Brubeck
- Superstition - Stevie Wonder
- The Prophet's Song - Queen
- Layla - Derek And The Dominoes
- The Gumbo Variations - Frank Zappa
- The Cask Of Amontillado - The Alan Parsons Project
There are of course countless others but those are the only ones I could be bothered to write down.
South Side of the Sky is a good song, but does it really beat Close to the Edge or Roundabout?
Yo dude the fact you had Atom Heart Mother on there was awesome. Such an underrated song, yeah it isn't perfect like echoes. But the fact you can see the progression and Pink Floyd becoming Pink Floyd is awesome. Great stuff man.
I couldn't agree more. I was so pleasantly surprised by the inclusion of Suite, it isn't so popular or well liked neither by some fans or the members themselves, yet I can't help but think it's so underrated and so beautiful.
Cool list, nice to see Starless and Time After Time on it!

Achilles Last Stand by Led Zeppelin
Starless by King Crimson
Echoes by Pink Floyd

I fucking love progressive rock
Thats because when making song lists people naturally put epic, longer songs near the top. Its always Stairway To Heaven, Freebird, Hotel California, and that sort of thing. Just like these three songs. Its not coincidental.
3 of my favorites songs omg
Love to see a bit of appreciation of Queens "'39"

We have very similar taste, I absolutely love beatles, steely dan, pink floyd and stevie wonder. If I made a list like this I would probably have 6-7 tracks from songs in the key of life. I love Kendrick aswell, but some of your placements suggests to me that you haven’t listened to a ton of hip hop. I would highly recommend:
A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders
Fugees - The Score
Outkast - Aquemini
Schoolboy Q - Blankface LP
Jay Z - The Blueprint
Pusha T - Daytona
Young Thug - Slime Season 3
Chance the Rapper - Acid Rap
Sorry if I made an incorrect assumption, but I hope atleast some of these recommendations are helpful
true, kendrick is rly the only rap artist I'm closely familiar with
@@videosbaisam Another artis I could recommend is Kanye West, but only the first six albums, after those is when he started to become the controversial person he is today, and his music fell off as a result of that.
