It's probably Steel type because the idea in Pokemon is that it's used by heavily armored Pokemon shedding pieces of their armor to lighten their weight and move faster. An escape strategy turned to offense preparation.
Honestly, I've always seen moves like Iron Tail and Metal Claw as cases where a Pokemon temporarily converts that body part into metal and attacks with it
every grenade, heck, every modern WEAPON contains metal. The concept of light-based steel moves is quite clear about being reflection of light on clear metal.

11:51 Uh-oh Austin, you messed up Autotomize (not "Automize" btw). It comes from the biological concept of autotomy, that's when an organism breaks off part of their body as a defense mechanism. Think of lizards dropping their tail to escape. In Pokemon it just means the pokemon breaks off/drops/sheds part of it's body making it lighter, hence the speed increase. The meaning is even in the name: autotomy = auto (self) + tomy (cut) = "cutting off part of oneself". It has noting to do with automation and cars or factories.
Keep in mind that Metal is an element _wu xing_ (as opposed to the Fire, Air, Water, and Earth of Western elemental cosmology). As such, a move like Flash Cannon is essentially infusing Metal-elemental energy into an attack, like Gajeel's Iron Dragon's Roar in _Fairy Tail_ .

ok, that was a perfect joke... I appreciate a joke where you first laugh at face value, and laugh louder when you think deeper about it
11:51 Uh-oh Austin, you messed up Autotomize (not "Automize" btw).
Well....now you just make me want to search for the steel waifu.... dammit, the list are already long enough
the image of Wailord spinning agressively toward the enemy amused me beyond reason, good job
In that case you have to do a video only for the ???-Type
Sans, mega glalie has gaster blaster powers
Keep in mind that Metal is an element _wu xing_ (as opposed to the Fire, Air, Water, and Earth of Western elemental cosmology). As such, a move like Flash Cannon is essentially infusing Metal-elemental energy into an attack, like Gajeel's Iron Dragon's Roar in _Fairy Tail_ .
You should make Pokémon videos!
Wazrobe I mean... he already does?
John Vanegas r/woooosh
He does all the time
@@Wazrobe is it really a woooosh though, because your joke was very unclear, and he didn't even completely fall for it.
Random Person pal this is on a Pokémon video
He should’ve understood
Have you guys done an every dark type move explained? I am kinda curious to know why moves like Fake Tears is considered a dark type move
I love Megearna!!!!!! *I hug Megearna*
💙❤️⚙️
Warm Lillie I thumbs up megearna 👍
Varylix Yeah
Claws and horns on almost any species are made of calcium
According to the periodic table of elements, calcium is a metal
Therefore:
1. Any pokemon that have claws should be able to use metal claw
2. It’s correct that any horned pokemon can use smart strike
3. Every human can use metal claw.
Come to think of it
Comparing scratch and metal claw is like comparing dragonbreath and flamethroewer...
1:30 THAT'S iron?
It looks like poop.
it's a cat's tail 😂😂
I'm so glad you're doing this as well!
Are you still doing the every type explained series too? I believe there's 3 types left to cover still
Actually On that note Mew is able to learn every move
False. There are plenty of moves mew can't learn. It's really known for being able to learn all tms and tutor moves.
For a long time I thought TMs standed for teachable move.
Lockstin: now the vegans can hunt too!
*Me: hunt what*
*Carrots?*

15:05 oh hi Dark Cloud. Always a pleasure to see that other people know one of my all time favorite games exists.
Bruh what about primeape using iron tail
When it comes to TMs, I’ve always wondered where you put the disc in the Pokémon.
In it's mouth! Even Rusty gets that. He taught his Geodude Streng-th by shoving it down his throat. And it worked. Rusty got thrown "to Victory!"
