I too totally agree that all the people making these tutorials should show you UP CLOSE where they are putting that 1st stitch……it throws your stitch count Off when you’re wrong…..and they should also have you put a Stitch Marker in the stitch that you will be joining with when you Finish a row…..that would be sooooo helpful to newbies and me too!!!!😂

Thank you for going slow enough to actually see what is happening. I'm just learning to crochet and so many videos are moving so fast that I can't follow. This is the perfect speed to be able to follow along.
You can always change the speed settings of any video, if you didn’t know ☺️

This is a pretty square, thank you. It would be helpful to show the finished piece at the start, before you begin to make it. Seeing the target focuses the mind.

Aww...how sweet! I can make a blanket, a sweater to wear a slinky camisole underneath or a sleeveless top, a fabulous reusable tote for the grocery store, I can make a purse and line it with closely woven muslin so nothing falls out... or I could make a glorious straight sleeveless boat neck dress with dyed to match or nude unbleached muslin sheath underneath!

Love this pattern. It really seems easy to follow. It makes me now want to try and develop an octagon or pentagon shaped "granny - square." LOL 😉 Thank you so much for sharing this video with us and showing your hands - and stitches - up close as you do here.
I have done those shapes in the traditional way of the granny square .. if you add one more set of 3 double crochets then join .. it comes out with 5 sides. If you fold that in half, you have made a little Christmas stocking.

I have always loved making granny squares. I have a book 99 granny squares, and this was one of the first motifs I made. Was loads of fun.

Music is a large distraction - no ion to silence the 🎶 I have to turn off volume on my phone. Then don't know if they need me next door broken ankle & pneumonia. At least put the ion to x it off.

@@amazing_crochet when you are crocheting circles or granny squares where you start and end in the same place, you are crocheting in the ROUNDS. So you are doing ROUND 1, 2, 3 and so on. If you are crocheting blankets or afghans where you are going back and forth, you are crocheting ROWS. So you are doing ROW 1, 2, 3 and so on.
