12" Oriental Trash China
18" Oriental Trash China

9" Bell
Here is a transcript of the video:
First song we are playing tonight is called Empire. We wanted to come out to a huge opening song. About 45 seconds into the song is a part where there is this big gang vocal part. It kind of builds, builds, builds opens up and there is huge gang vocals. Our lighting guy Josh lights up the whole crowd and you can see everyone singing along and I love looking at this part and seeing kids faces as they are screaming and their fists are pumping in the air. It is like one of my favorite parts of the song in set. It's a minute into the hour and fifteen minute set list. Видеоклипы
So happy to see Matt getting some love from Zildjian and vice versa!
I love that the low end of the bass guitar is coming through the mics.. it meshes so beautifully with the kick drum, just like its supposed to.
the 21" anniversary a custom is one of the best rides i've ever played and own, most versatile ride zildjian has.
Whaddayaknow? The snare he's playing in this video is one of Greiner&Kilmer's and still sounds incredible.
Dreams really do come true.
Zildjian!!! you guys should seriously make and sell his cymbals id by em in a heartbeat and I'm sure a lot of other people would too. Anything with Matt Greiner's name on it would sell really well
i was at this concert in boston...best concert ive ever been to
i hear ya man. i've grown to have more posture now too while drumming. Its craise what happens from just watching videos of your favorite drummers.
Matt and Jen Ledger (of Skillet) should totally get together! Could imagine the drum AWESOMENESS that would emit from that couple?!?!?
he really does have perfect posture haha. i used to watch videos of him drumming by the hour and i got my posture from him and luke holland. a bunch of drum teachers always tell me that i have amazing posture and i told them i was never taught i just kept watching video of matt griener and luke holland :D
I just love how he puts so much energy on his work..
Awesome. been waiting for this haha
Wow.. MATT IS MY IDOL
Its for his hi-hats,he uses the 2nd bass drum because he uses a hi hat stand without legs so he can position his hi hat pedal and bass drum pedal next to eachother
When metronomes practice, they keep time to a Matt Greiner.
best song to play to!!
Matt Greiner is my idol
I love these go pro vids cuz its easy to hear how so many drummers stick click all the time and it makes me feel so much better about my playing lol
Awesome
Matt Greiner, why are you God?
Good point. Here is his set-up:
14" K Custom hi-hats
18" A Custom Crash
20" A Custom Crash
21" A Custom Anniversary Ride
12" Oriental Trash China
18" Oriental Trash China
9" Oriental Splash
6.5" Bell
9" Bell
It is also added in the description. I will add it to Alex Shelnutt of A Day to Remember as well.
Post more of these! I know you recorded more! You had to have, so please post them
First off: you guys are awesome =) Secondly, I have to say that the description you gave here might be inaccurate (I'm not being mean, I swear). The Hi-Hats in this vid look like A Series Hats, the splash is a K Series/Custom, the China is an A Custom China (you can see the logo in some shots). Or did he borrowed some cymbals for this show, and you're talking about his usual setup as of late, apart from this video? If so, then my bad =P
cant wait to see them in indonesia!!!
@Muhammad Faisal Hidayat wktu itu 2011 apa 2012 kalogasalah bareng blessthefall di bulungan.
That's actually an A Custom China. You can see the logo @2:45
*empire intro..Matt stops ..-JAke"Boston!! ..Here WE GO!" ^_^ its ok at first i didn't hear him clearly either :) its so sick though :)
He has his own drum company, search "Greiner & Kilmer Custom Drums"
my posture playing drums ( Matt's |
it would be great if you could include the drummers' cymbal set up in the description on these kind of videos
dude Bass Drop @2:53 I need to go play right now
is this boston mass? i was going to go but had to go snowboarding in maine, friends went, heard it was a good show!
whats wierd is that in some of the older blogs from early 2008? he acually did use to play with two bass drums so yeah XD
It's basically just for looks. I thought it was a way to sponsor his signature kit so more people would buy it. Nope, just for looks. I don't mind it.
hey zildjian do u think u can put this vid up but only with the head cam view??? plz reply
Depends on the wood, size and heads.
for a zildjian video i wouldve expected more focus on the cymbals sounding good... but this video is aweessommee
ah ye! thanks
sweet
correct me if im wrong but isn't that an 18" K Custom Hybrid China instead of his typical 18" Oriental China?
I know you gave the sizes of the bells but what kind of bells are they? I know they aren't zil bels.
My face is in the background at 2:38 :O
is he using coated evans emad on the bass drum?
are you sure the small china is 9"? sounds more like a 12" to me..i have the same too
whats that snare head?
Perfectly Postured Drummer = Matt Greiner
lol but look at 0:25 he's using a K splash or something. But still...awesome
For a brief second i thought i was matt
1:22 so he is human!!!
Sexy kit with sexy cymbals xD
That one guy you here over everyone else...... 2:12
To MaGrein, about 45 seconds = 2:10 seconds haha!
Where is his moustache?
lol at the beginning of the video i thought my computer was lagging
He got's the same bass drum sound of Alex Shelnutt.
Possibly! I figure it would've been louder though if it was him
And he had on his left a 19" K custom hybrid trash smash. Nope ?
reread. they say its a 12
Wrong, it's not for show. It's a backup so that if his head breaks mid-set, he doesn't have to replace the head and take half an hour of everyone's time. It's not a showy thing, it's practicality.
It's not mic'ed. its up there for show. only one bass drum has a mic on it.
Well, he doesn't put new heads on every show. I know some drummers do because they're just that hard hitting, but I'm pretty sure Matt doesn't. After enough time, even the thickest of heads will break. He's just being as prepared as he possibly can be, that's my guess.
His mini chinas a 13 inch
The second kick is for presentation purposes for him and ABR, i have his signature kit its great! stop moaning!
GO GOPRO! :D
ah proof he's a robot, you can clearly see the laser on his head!
Drummers should be allowed to sponsor GoPros!!!
He looks like sam fisher.
triple pedal? possibly? ....go pro is the way to go
lol
simple fill, if im not mistaking it's KKRLRL , basic stuff =]
57th... XD
oh i just noticed he was still using a double kick hahah maybe its for back up? hahah jk who knows
its because the track is filter thats why it all sounds a bit dull
I think he invented metronome.
nope 14
Damnit matt quit moving..
First
So glad he's using Remo now, that snare sounds terrible.
Single Kick is was too mainstream....
Just kidding. im no hipster.
no idea why he has a second bass drum mic'ed up when he doesn't use it?
seems like a waste of time even setting that shit up
