I just got mine and I like it so far. The power is there for sure. The digital dash feels a little cheap. The interior in general feels cheap for such an expensive truck. I hate the tires wish they would’ve thrown on some KO2s or anything else

While it’s really nice having a car designer’s opinion and review of a car irl, I feel like even trying to balance the original format of the channel with the review segments is just not satisfying. As a designer and enjoyer of the actual art being done, I didn’t care for the review any more than when they were a part of the other videos. This channel used to be where I went for quality digital art and critiquing the nature of today’s and yesterday’s cartoons design. I’m trying to give the channel a second chance, but I really wish there were the old format back of just redesigning cars. Reviews are cool, but tons of people on RUclips do them. It’s genuinely hard to find content like what you used to put out from other people on RUclips. There isn’t a substitute for it. This just doesn’t make sense as “sketchmonkey.”

fully agree, he can keep reviews and new car reveals for his second channel. this one should be for what he does best, redesigns.

Modern trucks look like giant window mounted air conditioners.

Just to let you know is that exhaust sound you are hearing in the cab while driving is fake. Its being pumped through the speakers. You can turn it off with a OB2 carista or take it to toyota and they can turn it off for you. But just saying it does not sound like that at all outside.

In this color, the truck looks good as well as in white color. My biggest gripe with the 3rd gen Tundra is not because of the truck's new engine or the transmission, but because of the overall exterior design and the fact that it is still trailing the Big 3 when it comes to features, fuel economy, and ride quality.
When the 2nd gen Tundra was introduced back in 2006/07, not sure exactly, it was miles ahead than any of the competition. Basically, the engineers sat on their asses for 14+ years and came with this mediocre, overpriced, no longer reliable Tundra.
While I do not worry about the reliability. eventually Toyota will address them, they need to address the overall exterior and make it look good at least as the new Tacoma. The new Tacoma is an amazing looking truck, but the Tundra is outright ugly.

1:16 the all-red taillights with brake/turn signal combination lamps are unacceptable and need to be illegal. What happened to the prior generation's beautiful and proper amber rear turn signals? How do car designers still not know all turn signals, front, side, and rear are amber? How are they allowed to design tailllights when they don't understand the fundamentals of tailllights as taught in TAIL 101? It's utterly baffling to me.

That thing looks hilarious. "Trying too hard" doesn't begin to describe how over the top these oversized grocery getters are getting.
