I wanted to love these Tundras so bad! Decided to give it a chance when I was shopping, but the lack of bed utility, no 4WD Auto, lack of storage, lack of efficiency, and weird quircks like the remote start shutoff pushed me to a GMC. Also wish it had more premium materials for the cost.
Still think they are beautiful trucks. Maybe next time.

I really like the new Tundra but I can't get past the fact that their are no factory engineered front recovery tow hooks and an option for a front winch. I don't understand an off road truck offering without a way to pull on the truck safely if stuck in an off road adventure. The competition offers these items in the off road versions engineered from the factory. Come on Toyota!

We don't know how the new Tundra will do long term tho. Chevy has been doing good with there 3.0 duramax tho. A lot of owns have said they have had no problems. Toyota Tundra has had quite a few issues tho. The main issue is pricing. $70,000 for a TRD Pro and only getting 18 mpg is garbage. I mean a Ram 3500 Cummins gets 23 mpg on the hwy!!

Yeah, it's only $3,000 to do that tho. With a twin turbo if you don't get the timing right and it's a tooth off, you can blow up your engine. Each truck is very scary to own honestly. Super expensive either way.

    • @pementerprises7706

True, but the turbos would be an unexpected failure where as the chevy oil pump belt is required maintenance that is guaranteed to occur at least every 150K miles. Also a 2022 tundra was sold on Car Fax with 155k miles and the only failure was a throttle body at 115k miles, but only time will tell I guess. @@stevenpeterson7234
