pour la voix je préféré de loin la version de B.Streisand de 1973 ;c plus mélodieux et moins appuyé mais orchestration et l'arrangement musicaux sont meilleurs sur cette version

Does Dessay sing opera anymore?
No, she doesn't. The page is turned. Only concerts, orotario, lied and mélodies, and chanson et théâtre (it's not so bad, still a lot of concerts !). What a "vie enchantée" ! Ravie pour elle. She loved the opera, but her clear voice corresponded to certain roles, often young first, which after a while did not fit anymore or made her go around in circles. Natalie likes to move on. Especially since she has always considered herself a singing actress. She's finally doing what she loves today : singing and playing with her "real" voice. And she still worked hard to find her. Her voice is more tied to the orotario genre and the song/chanson, otherwise better stamped today.

She's ok,doesn't make me want to by the album.
Elle na pas la voix pour la pop ou variete. Elle est faites pour le classique. Car ici ca voix est plate sans relief aucune originalité aucun corps.
Elle y vient peu à peu, ça demandera encore du temps après tant d'années à avoir travaillé sa voix de façon extraordinaire, comme tout chanteur classique. Sa voix naturelle s'installe de mieux en mieux. Elle garde encore le "défaut" classique d'appuyer encore trop sur certaines syllabes. Mais elle fait preuve d'une certaine intelligence du chant, sensitive, essentielle pour faire entendre sa propre tonalité. Et puisque que c'est son souhait à présent. Souhaitons-lui bon vent !

The video is well made - even impressive, Natalie's singing is not bad at all - but she can not give me that thrill like Barbra . Her version is so sublime....
@@christopher5040 why yes... A minor 3rd lower in fact. Imagine that! A young Streisand singing in a higher key than a more mature Dessay... Value is not in the relative key of a performance, but rather in its artistic integrity. I don't understand this slavish and pointless fascination with comparing Dessay and Streisand (particularly when 3 or 4 decades have passed between the recordings in question!) - surely most of you must have something better to do with your lives.
