I LOVE seeing your travels. Those monkeys would terrify me. I'm glad they didn't get Sam. I'm a little jealous because I can't travel right now and possibly ever due to a spinal injury. But it's awesome watching you guys.
A lot of your travels around south east Asia I had already done (I’m 68) so when this vlog appeared on my timeline it was a must watch for me. Angkor complex took me three days to cover on both of my visits. (Before it was instagram trendy) The monkeys are real thugs when trying to steal off you but fraudsters in reality, when you get an aggressive one charges you charge back and make lots of noise. I had a really fat one charge me in Malaysia last year (apparently the king of his tribe) he legged it when his thuggish behaviour failed. lol. I’ve followed your travels for a few years now when you had the little Vivaro van and touring Cornwall. Best of luck to you both, I look forward to your videos as we share the same interests. Peace out, Namaste…
This was a great adventure to watch. Your channel has integrity and authenticity which makes it stand out from the others. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to next ❤
We loved Siem Reap (visited a month ago) but like you the Bayon Temple monkey scared the crap out of us - and yes they were always shagging. I stood in awe whilst capturing a sunrise timelapse (see my insta, same name) and was almost brought to tears with the serenity and beauty. What a dream come true. Siem Reap is the perfect sized town and your hotel was a bargain, we too went posher than normal (about £40/night). We hired a tuk-tuk and driver and for the big tour day it was $20 - we gave more of course - and that included him bringing loads of chilled water for us. Pub Street was great fun, even at our age, but the riverside market and food stall were much better.
Oh awesome! did fly out to just Siem Reap, or visit more in Asia? hahaha 😂😂 they were so horny! Just checked it out, looks awesome! is that mist on the pools? Wow $20 for the whole day is insane isnt it, such a beautiful place we miss it so much, especially now as its getting cold and wet.
@@nicroams Thnx. We did Thailand for three weeks and just five days in Siem Reap, but we'll definitely go back. We got married in Thailand 30yrs ago so had to have our anniversary back there. I don't think it was a mist on the water but there was lots of inset movement, but luckily didn't get bitten. Near is Ladakh, so excited about going there.
Nic was really good at tracking all this information, so it shouldn’t be too hard to pull together! would you prefer it in video format or a blog post? :)
Angkor Wat is a MUST visit for anyone, truly a beautiful place! 🎉

Thank you so much, this actually means so a lot!
Welcome home to the rain. 🤣
I know! It’s like we have forgotten what it’s like being completely wet with sweat instead 😂, TBH I think I (Sam) prefer that than being cold and wet!
