Wow, this video is amazing! It's a showcase of all the reasons people should stay a little longer in Siem Reap. Thank you so much for the opportunity to show you around. We had such a great time, and we can't wait for your next visit! You are right, there are thousands of ancient archaeological sites in Cambodia - some are full temples like Angkor Wat, and others are small sites with only a few stones remaining. They are all interesting and the more obscure ones in the countryside are fun to find. Highly recommend all of the places we visited in your video! Thanks Taylor for showing the beauty of Siem Reap! xx
@ForRiel I can't thanks you enough for every effort that you both put into exploring and sharing your experiences in cambodia in such broad perspectives 🇰🇭❤
Thanks for the information. I'm going to Cambodia in November. Very excited to see everything. I'm headed to Kuala Lumpur on Monday and then to Penang. I will be going to some of the places you recommended. Thanks again
Siem Reap is at the top of my go to places. Thank you for such a comprehensive tour. So much beauty and so many interesting things to do and see. So many choices. The food looked marvelous. Take care of yourself and see you next time.
I am a new subsciber currently located in the Philippines. I enjoyed this video so much. I had a different impression of Cambodia. I have just started to view your videos, and would like to say that your channel is excellent and informative. Great camera work. Cheers.
Can't wait for our coming trip next month to the Kingdom just to get away from our long and blistering cold winter. Happy Autumn and stay safe, Andrew. Greetings from Khmer in Minnesota!
Lol. Andrew Taylor - ghost hunter! As always, great content. You are truly an ambassador to SE Asia. I enjoy all your weekly videos and your amiable presentation makes you a joy to watch. Keep up the great work as always!
A most enjoyable video Taylor, you put quite a lot of work into this one. I found Siam Reap to be charming and beautiful, and the restaurants all seemed quite nice. Thank you for this one.
I've been to Siem Reap 3 times. The next time, like you, it'll just be to enjoy the restaurants and relaxed atmosphere and not the over-touristed temples. Thanks for all the restaurant recommendations! I can confirm that FCC Angkor is a boutique hotel with really nice rooms, pool, and breakfast buffet; a quiet riverside location yet 15 minute walk to pub street.
Excellent review of our amazing City Taylor - YES!!! Siem Reap is far more than a 2/3 day stopover - folks miss so much when they just fly in visit the Temples and go. Plus touring the Temples in such a short time takes all the fun out of it - slow is good - this I know for sure LOL
Perfect timing Taylor. I'm moving to Siem Reap in a week and I hope to meet up with Jeremy and Claire after I get settled in. I'll definitely be visiting some of the nice places you showcased when I get there. Thanks for the information and the excellent artistic vlog. Maybe I'll meet you when you visit next.
@ForRiel Love your videos. Are there any affordable beachtowns for ex pats to live in Cambodia? Like Pattaya or Jomtien in Thailand. Thanks I am day dreaming watching videos about Cambodia Thailand until I retire in about 5 more years
Thank you for this lovely and informative video I really enjoyed! Glad you had a good time in Siem Riep I hope to visit one day. Every time I watch your video, it has a therapeutic effect on me and definitely increases my appetite for good food in an important way.
I have been to Thailand many times. Before Covid my sister and I went to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat on a trip to Thailand. I have always wanted to come back. Siem Reap kind of has a small town vibe and like you said lots of great restaurants. The people are so friendly.
Having someone there to receive you and show you around makes all the difference, doesn’t it? It takes away that little bit of apprehension so that you can better enjoy the place. The silverwares that you bought are just exquisite. The handiwork is spectacular. You have a very elegant, beautiful taste to things as shown in your apartment’s decor. I’ll be in Siem Reap in January, and you have given me some ideas. I will also be hopping around Malaysia also (Penang, Kota Kinabalu, KL, Ipoh). Thank you for another great video!
What a delightful video. We are heading there in 2 weeks. I appreciate all your tips and recommendations especially on great places to eat. We have been warned by our travel agent and friends not to rat salads, accept ice and definitely no water, but I see you enjoyed all those things. I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you Taylor. Your video has inspired me to visit Cambodia. My ancestry is from the Cham people of Cambodia but I now live in Kuala Lumpur - near you I think as I’ve seen you around the neighborhood.

I’ve been in siem reap many times and still love it. We went to the Phare circus “Cambodian circus” it was amazing. They have food stalls and the food was delicious. Hi, what's the temple near your friend's house? It looks amazing! Going to Cambodia next month and would like to visit the temple. Thank you! Your video has made me excited
Interesting video. I haven't had the chance to travel anywhere in South East Asia, but I'm hoping I can do it when I'm retired and have the time to spend several months in that part of the world. I was surprised to hear that there are Mexican restaurants and burger joints there. Are those types of restaurants usually owned and operated by Western expats?
Who is Khom? The latest research done by Chiang Mai University in collaboration with an international research team has examined DNA samples from Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Burma, and Cambodia, compared with DNA samples from ancient humans found in archaeological excavations of each country. Compared to the current ASEAN DNA As a result, Thailand is close to Vietnam, Laos, and Indonesia, but Burma and Cambodia are separated. People who lived during the Khom civilization are pedigree South Indian Mon which is not found in Cambodia This clearly indicates that Khmer is not Khom and Khom Warman was completely eradicated from the present Khmer faction, which had no Khmer ancestry. This coincides with the story of Nai Tang Wan (Mr.Sweet Melon, the slave master) Rebellion who established himself as a later king with the eradication of the Varman dynasty and theories. Diva Sarug Khmer according to the Sap Bak inscription was just a savage village recruited for slave labor. (China-Zhou Da Guang's record)

Of course, for tourism. Always a pros and cons

Not sure but there are many!

Lucky you got into Malaysia when you did. But regarding Siem reap. If you had to leave Malaysia could or would relocate to Siem reap?
If my friends Jeremy and Claire were still there. ☺️
You can’t move somewhere because of people . The moment you move there ( because of them) they decide hmmm….maybe we will try Malaysia.😊
I have heard of bars stocking "spirits" but a freely "moving' beer can makes me wonder what type of spirits.
Hahaha 🤣
