    • @punkmusicmetal
      @punkmusicmetal 6 лет назад +35

      Marcel Riemer if you compare the drum mix to the last 4 albums of theirs, it's lost of a lot of the attack. Especially with Jon Theodore on drums, it's kind of surprising how it sounds. If you listen to any Mars Volta records or even him playing live, he sounds huge and Villians isn't really indicative of what he sounds like

    • @marcelriemer3696
      @marcelriemer3696 6 лет назад +6

      Yeah I guess drum-wise that's definitely true. Hope they were just testing the waters and that the drums will be a bit on the heavier side next album. Although if they get a new band member they should be 100% behind them in the first place and not turn them down in the mix or something.

    The QOTSA’s greatness is a given, however Natasha’s amazing talent has never been truly realized
    due the fact that when she and her brother defected to USA N.Y N.Y in 1976, she was very quick to
    brake into any scene that her abilities (talent ) would take her, even though most of these venues
    where not recorded in audio or video-Film per sa.
    It took another ten or so years before main stream recognition started to creep into souls and hearts
    of the people who had the ability to pay attention, listen and under stand enough to spot someone
    who was so special.
    So what eventually happened with Natasha Shneider was a naturally brief Moon shot into greatness.
