  • Field testing Dewalt 1/2 impact DCF900 20 Volt Max XR vs. Milwaukee 1/2 impact M18 Fuel vs. Dewalt 3/4 DCF897 20 Volt Max XR .
Which brand is actually capable of removing lug nuts from a semi tractor.
All impacts brand new. With fully charged batteries.
Testing all impacts on a 33mm impact socket.
Looks like the 3/4inch dewalt impact comes out the best for tractor lugs nuts.

That popcorn sound is usually the result of the socket binding on the nut in my experience. A bit of wd-40 on the nut before you put the socket on makes a big difference! Interesting video 👍

I use the Milwaukee 2767 to take semi wheels off at work without any issues. I think there has only been one lug nut it has not been able to get off. I also own the harbor freight hercules 1/2 ultra torque and it has so far not failed at taking off semi wheels. The hercules spins a little slower but seems to have the power. I don't know why your Milwaukee could not do the job.

Ya, im 20 seconds in, and you're running an aftermarket battery in the Milwaukee. Your "test" is void, don't care what your results are.

Sorry guys, not my milwaukee tool! My shops. Feel ya on not fair test. But, can still do good test with no name battery. So best Idea. Don't buy knock-off batteries. Cannot perform.

Not to mention it has to be on the reverse setting instead of #3 for full reverse torque

As of April '24 you made me relieved I just decided to purchase the 897 rather than the 900 DeWalt to wack the 19mm nuts of my Jag which I have to say it achieves with prodigious ease. If DW eventually produce a 1 inch version then I'm going for it. Nice video 👍🇬🇧

Aftermarket battery or not you are letting both the dcf900 and 2767 bind on the nuts creating torque lock. When that happens put them in forward hit the trigger and then restart. You can tell when that happens every time.

Battery makes a huge difference. Bigger battery creates more power. Also by not using the same ah battery you're not testing the tool honestly.

Really decreasing the power of the Milwaukee by using a junk battery on it! Even still a 1/2 isn't made to be a 3/4

Milwaukee with the hookey battery didn't even get ten seconds on the rears. T.T.C always shows gains right up to 15 seconds.

lol this video is hilarious. This is one of the only videos on RUclips of a Milwaukee not being able to take off a semi lug nut. But wait the in the other videos the guys are using Milwaukee batteries on a Milwaukee 2767. I imagine how the dewalt would perform with an Amazon knock off battery. 🧐

The reason the Milwaukee would not do the job is that is not a real Milwaukee battery on it how can you have a accurate test when you don't even use a real Milwaukee battery that's an Amazon special
