I enjoy the benefits of Amsoil!! I use it in my zero turn lawnmower as well.
You only will enjoy the benifit if you run an extended or normal for the rest of the world OCIs. It's pointless and a waste of good oil otherwise.
So instead of 100% synthetic oil, can I use "full synthetic" oil on older engines?
You can use any oil you like. But not every oil provides same levels of protection against wear. Yes full synthetic oil is fine. What do you have and year?
