On my 2021 cforce 800 xc min is 32.2 mm(1 1/4”) new belt 35 mm(1 3/8”). This is the specs. out of service manual. Hope that helps somebody out. Good video!
Tip; When replacing mic the new belt and write it down and save. Don't be surprised if the new one shows a little width variance, that's normal. After all, it's a "formed" part, not machined. Good video!
Well once again Steve I learned something new. I didn't know what to look for when I looked at my belt when the shop had it all apart. They told me it looked good and put it back on. Now I am kinda wondering
They can always look good but still be worn out. But i will say this as a professional if it looks drives good etc good keep running it but check often I recommend checking atleast every 1000 miles.
That's ( 1 ) way to check a belt , easier way is to simply use the side of the belt , literally can see where the belt is in its life just by looking at the side of it on the machine in between the 2 sheaves but most people are clueless as to this method. On a belt that's not totally shot , ( so you can see what I'm referring to ) Take a look at the side , there is a seam in the middle , between that seem and the top of belt, you'll see (Darker part of belt ) and above it is ( Lighter ) , that (lighter part ) is where the belt is ( Not ) riding in the sheaves meaning there is life left in the belt. Hopefully that makes sense to everyone. A picture makes it easier to explain but no way to do that here but this makes checking belt life very easy and dont need to remove it from machine or anything. A friend who was racing Z800 then went to Polaris taught me this years ago and this is how the guys who race check it. 🙂
Yes you’re absolutely correct that method also gos for V belts as-well. My method in the video is more accurate and easy to do for most people. And don’t really have to take it out to do it. Thank you for letting everyone know this method also.
Yes, what people should look for is the small bevel on the top edge of the belt, if the bevel is gone and the top edges are sharp like the bottom edge then your belt's life is finished.
I really like your videos, lots of information . I would love to see a video on how to disconnect or by pass the override switch . I drive a z-force 500 .
Steve, my Zforce 500 is 6 months old and it's jerking just like you describe. What causes the belts to wear? What type of driving can contribute to wear? We climb a lot of rocks on trails. Love the videos.
Hey, I know this is off subject for this video but I’m wondering if you can recommend where I could buy a really comfortable seat at a good price that will fit in the CF Moto 800 Zforce ex
I changed my drive belt on my cf moto 520l but my secondary is spinning with the primary but I don't know why 😖. I bought a g-force c12 belt and a new one way bearing. I need to put some washers under the secondary? 🤔
@@R.N.GPerformance is not god when the secondary is spinning bicose is hard to put in gear. And it goes slowly even if it doesn't press the gas I need to brake
Would you consider The ultimax belt better than Bando or Mitsuboshi? Also a lot of people say the gates Gforce redline is very good but then others say to stay away from gates redline, even cfmoto themselves don’t recommend using it. Thanks
Stay away from gates. CFMOTO OEM Mitsubishi is an awesome belt. Next best belt compared to OEM is Ultimax. I personally run Ultimax because it’s better priced.

Thats true too.
In denmark they say. The belt change every 1500 km. But i drove 8600km on original cf moto belt. Before it broke.
my belt is at 4200 km and there is excessive shaking on the first move
Macera. My belt does the same. No matter what. Although the belt and clutch are brand new.

Can the belt be changed without removing the clutches? If so could you do a video on it?
ruclips.net/video/dc465QYdKIk/видео.html
Thanks for that info. Is their a time frame as to when to change the belt. Like how many hours was the belt when you changed yours.
No timeframe honestly because all belts wear differently. 1000 miles on that belt but like i said it was abused. 2000 on mine still in great shape.

If it’s in neutral it can spin. Friction causes this.

How about a source for a belt for a 950
