I hardly ever comment, but my heart broke when you started talking about your weight related confidence / willingness to sew for yourself. Firstly, i looooooove that coat. You are super elegant in it! Secondly - i know you know this deep down - but you are worth new beautiful clothes. Your worth and your weight are totally unrelated - fact. Your body is perfect because it works. Maybe try to see what we see a little when you look in the mirror :) You are an inspiration to me and so many. Glad to see you back. Kim
Hi Kim - yes, you are right - I know deep down that I am worth new beautiful clothes - but I'm just not in the mindset right now to enjoy the process. I'll get there again 😊. I appreciate your support and compassion more than you know! 💕💕💕
I love the ice dyed pants. I think an ice dyed top in one color that matches what you have in the pants would be great. I love the top you have on. Is there a way to shut the vents that go into your office, maybe that would help it from being so cold......Just suggestions. Hope you get your sewjo back soon.
I love the idea of an ice dyed top to go with the pants - that could be fun! As for the office - I'll have to check the vents - that could be an option! But I'm in the midst of making something FUN that will help - stay tuned 😊
I love your coat and your jeans but I also loved both tops you made to go with them. the colours looked great on you.. I was thrilled to see you back.. Merry Christmas Michelle.. enjoy.
I would love to have a new sewing machine but like you it is just not in our budget. I love seeing what you sew you inspire me and I like the patterns you choose ❤
I have that sweater knit fabric in cream, sage green and navy. I made a cardigan out of the cream and the Love Notions Whistler pattern out of the sage green and navy. I could wear those Whistler tops every day. They are so comfortable and soft. I've been sewing a little for me and a lot for my granddaughters. I made a vest for the oldest, a pair of pink corduroy pants for her younger sister and a coat for sister number three. I also made pink corduroy dresses for the two babies. One of my friends gave me a large amount of pink baby corduroy so I decided to sew it up for the girls. Once Christmas is over I hope to sew a few more items for me. Happy Christmas to you and your family.
I just looked up the Whistler - it looks cozy! Pink corduroy sounds so adorable - I bet your granddaughters are going to love their new garments!!! Merry Christmas Carol!!
can't wait to hear more about your duster! i agree with you about joann flannel. i made a shacket a few months back and the fabric has held up really well. good to see you back on yt!
I love that flannel you used for your duster! I'm new to sewing, so when I saw it a few weeks back, I just picked up a small piece, and I'll probably be making a scarf with it. Though, I may have to invest in a larger piece if I find it on a good sale when I can buy some fabric again. It's fabulous, and I'm very happy to hear that it washes up well. Your duster is great 🙂
Thanks so much! I also got it when it was on sale. I bought 6 yards but had at least a yard leftover. So I used it with another flannel to make one of those Butter Quilt Scarves :)
Good to see you again. I always enjoy your ice dying. Someday I will try it. I am working on a Blackwood cardigan. I sewed the pockets wrong as I was watching you so now I am ripping out. 😮
Love seeing you always enjoy your video nice duster coat I've ordered my kai seam ripper and a clapper like you would love a new machine but I can wait I wish you and your family a fabulous Christmas and new year🎄🎄🎄🎉
Yayyyy! So happy to see you, Michelle and to hear what you’ve been up to! Love the pants! So fun! And of course, the duster is amazing. We are in PA for Christmas with my husband’s family. They are Norwegian so they open gifts on Christmas Eve, which is still totally weird for me. I usually save one gift for Christmas morning…😂 Hope you enjoy the holiday with Hercules and have fun being all creative. ❤
My husband is Norwegian, too! All of his family is still in Norway. We live in Virginia. We merge customs by opening gifts from his family on Christmas Eve, and then our gifts to each other on Christmas. Spent Christmas in Norway one year (due for that again soon), and I guess because I was there, I didn't really think about saving any gifts for Christmas day, but it would feel very weird not to do it here. God jul! 🙂
Hi Faith! I hope you're enjoying PA 😊. How cool it must be to share in another culture's traditions! Hercules and I are going to have all kinds of fun next week - I hope you do the same!!!
@@callitags haha yes, same here! Although, most of his family are here in the US in NY and PA plus I’m Australian, which adds another layer of fun…snow and all that is still a huge novelty! I am yet to get to Norway, but I’d love to go one day. 🤩🌲
I bought that same plaid flannel from JoAnns earlier this year! No plans what to make, but I really liked it so I took some home! Your coat is beautiful. I also love your ice dye pants and all the many things you ice dye. One of these days I want to try that! Blessings to you
My problem was I got what I wanted even if I did not need it 😂. That was mainly a problem during Covid when everything was out of stock and the next thing I knew I could supply a bag maker. I love your duster. I love the color of your cable knit.
OMG I love that color of the cable knit. I’ll have to check our Joann’s (in CA)because I noticed they have been stocking the shelves with more sweater type fabric lately. 🙆🏻♀️
There are several different colors and I believe it's one of their "staple" fabrics because I bought some in cream last year to use in a triangle scarf I made as gifts 😊. Enjoy!
Hi Michelle. Wow -- love the new pants. In terms of coordinates -- the gorgeous orange and hot pink corduroy jacket you made (Logan shacket pattern) would probably look great with the pants. Also, what about that top with blue and green solid fabrics and the right-angle seam below the armholes (block tee pattern)? Glad you're back, Antonia
Wow -I'm impressed with your memory of my makes! I'll have to check the Logan, the color tones might be a little darker - but I think you're on to something with the blue/green top - I'll definitely have to give that a try! THANKS!! Happy Holidays Antonia 😊
That's a fair criticism. I apologize if you were disappointed. It didn't stand out to me that way but I can see your point. I'll change the title to avoid any further confusion 😊💕
@@Rroth140 No, I haven't done a sewalong. But if that's what you're looking for I did link two other YT sewalongs in the description box. There was really only one tricky part - the rest of it was pretty straightforward.

Thanks so much Arleathia! It's such a beautiful fabric - what are you going to make with it??
I’m making a vest.
