Good review Uncle. I've tested the GR corolla sedan, noticed while external observation there is no front parking sensors which was omitted vs the standard corolla sedan. Toyota Thailand may have not noticed this.

Unfortunately here in Australia, it is not available as I think TOYOTA do specifically target their worldwide markets; but it is good to know what cars are available elsewhere. On my daily drive to work, I too have the same "commuting companions" and I secretly call them "the usual suspects". @@nashk935 cause westerner mentality? if yours truly asian should know that everything is tunable and when racing on mountain road - speed is one factor but you will need other components like brakes, aerodynamics, tires, suspension settings, chassis body roll, handling tuning, ECU mapping and vicey versa.

I've test driven both car. Corolla GR sport steering is sharper and handles better due to the sports suspension however the suspension might be stiffer and nvh noisier than civic fe rs. Civic fe rs has more powerful acceleration and better comfort @@EriqHover

What is the average fuel consumption for this car? I just got my Altis Gr sport in October and the fuel consumption is 10.9L/100km. It is the same even with ron97. Im always in the highway and my speed range is usually not more than 120kmh. Is my car eating up fuel too much compared to other Altis Gr users?
The difference is the ride. The Corolla has a nice and soft ride and can still corner better than the FE and the FE has a stiffer suspension. Actually Honda came out with this arrangement with the FD, but Toyota perfected it.

By taking lines we are actually going through the corners a lot faster. Taking a corner at 60 kmh has a different effect compared to taking the same corner at 80.

You can say it is, if compared to a high poweted sports car, but it can be fun to drive because it handles well. A GR Corolla would be faster, but will cost more than double.
Our Malaysia brothers always have the good stuff from Toyota Gazoo Racing Division :( Singapore Toyota range is really boring hahahaha and I have never ever encountered a Toyota GR Corolla (Altis) going that fast before!

I got a 2020 corolla which almost looks like a GR sport and love the handling and the characteristics of the car. The looks also is so aggressive.

Alza is lightweight. If straight road yeah.
Underpowered csn always be tune once warranty dome but driving dynamics and how it handles cant be changed
