Good review Uncle. I've tested the GR corolla sedan, noticed while external observation there is no front parking sensors which was omitted vs the standard corolla sedan. Toyota Thailand may have not noticed this.

Unfortunately here in Australia, it is not available as I think TOYOTA do specifically target their worldwide markets; but it is good to know what cars are available elsewhere. On my daily drive to work, I too have the same "commuting companions" and I secretly call them "the usual suspects". By taking lines we are actually going through the corners a lot faster. Taking a corner at 60 kmh has a different effect compared to taking the same corner at 80.

@@nashk935 cause westerner mentality? if yours truly asian should know that everything is tunable and when racing on mountain road - speed is one factor but you will need other components like brakes, aerodynamics, tires, suspension settings, chassis body roll, handling tuning, ECU mapping and vicey versa.
Our Malaysia brothers always have the good stuff from Toyota Gazoo Racing Division :( Singapore Toyota range is really boring hahahaha and I have never ever encountered a Toyota GR Corolla (Altis) going that fast before!
You can say it is, if compared to a high poweted sports car, but it can be fun to drive because it handles well. A GR Corolla would be faster, but will cost more than double.
The difference is the ride. The Corolla has a nice and soft ride and can still corner better than the FE and the FE has a stiffer suspension. Actually Honda came out with this arrangement with the FD, but Toyota perfected it.
This car for the price , its underpowered. GR Sport, wish it had turbochargerd to live up to its name of sport to differentiate between the regular Corolla/Altis. If an Alza can chase this car & furthermore driven by YS Khong, then you know la..😂😂

The Mazda is more premium, costs more too, so buy according to your own budget. The Corolla is a good car too

I got a 2020 corolla which almost looks like a GR sport and love the handling and the characteristics of the car. The looks also is so aggressive.

Alza is lightweight. If straight road yeah.
Underpowered csn always be tune once warranty dome but driving dynamics and how it handles cant be changed
