Just landed on your channel and love the content. I love about 20 minutes from Decatur just over the border in Ohio. Have fun and safe travels
It's always interesting to see all the different RV production facilities. We have been lucky enough to tour Newell, Newmar, and Triple E. Everyone has a different process and claim to fame. It's crazy to think Fleetwood can spec and install a chassis bridge to meet those tolerances and make multiple lengths out of the same Freightliner chassis. I heard about that in Freightliner school but have never seen it done! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! We were equally amazed by the entire process, but being an engineer, the chassis process was the most interesting to me. 😀
The craftsmanship and manufacturing involved in creating these incredible RVs is something else! Amazing video, thanks for sharing this!
Agreed! It was a really cool experience to see it all first hand. Made us appreciate our RV that much more
That was a great, informative video, great job and knowledge how to ask the right questions and still get the video done in under 30 min, impressive! I also liked the Fleetwood / Holiday Rambler / American Coach brands.
Thank you so much for the feedback 🙏😍
I love RV’s. This video was so awesome to watch.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! ❤️
This is going to be a great video. Thanks

@@fuelyourwander Thanks for replying. Love your channel.
❤❤❤
Chris I geek out on stuff like that also!!
😂😂😂
Now that is a massive factory. Thank you for such a great tour. You really are a pro at interviewing folks. Was interviewing part of your previous career?
Thank you! Hillary has some history in media and marketing. She does an amazing job on camera and behind the camera! 😀
I’m impressed!! I always thought fleetwood was second rate meaning lacking quality. Anyway not now!! Great video guys!! ❤
We were blown away by everything here! They do an amazing job building these. Thanks for the feedback 😍
They take a freightliner custom chassis throw some some angle iron on it and call it their own chassis??
No. It’s a Freightliner custom chassis. They insert the basement and new frame rails. I wouldnt call it just “some angle iron”.
Cool that you and your dad got to tour the factory
Cool that your mom let you use the internet in her basement. Thanks for watching!

There is no RV on the market that can be better then a Prevost conversion RV. This is a testament to the quality of Prevost. This is one of the biggest reasons you see so many NON Prevost motor homes for sale after about two years. Remember a Prevost Motor home conversion chassis is guaranteed for 1 million miles and the engine brake in is 60k miles, So if your paying 2 million dollars and up for anything less than a Prevost conversion then your buying garbage
Sure, but every car on the road is garbage outside of a Bugatti, which is also custom/hand built and costs about the same as a Prevost. Most people cannot afford a custom built car or a custom built RV. I love the Prevost chassis (and Bugatti) but they are not affordable to the average person.
@@fuelyourwander You can buy I used Prevost Conversion for around 300k to 700k and up. My whole point was why would you buy a Tiffin or any other brand of desiel pusher for 2 million when you can by used under 7 years old Prevost for around 1.5 million
@@fuelyourwander anything made in the U.S .is garbage your right UAW are getting $45 per hour to work on an assembly line.
Prevost chassis is made in Quebec Ca.
Why does it take 4 minutes before they get into showing you what the title says.
Trying to set the stage and introduce the topic. But fair point, will try to get to it faster in future videos. Thanks for the feedback!
REV Group cheaped out by dropping the Roadmaster chassis.
I dont know much about the roadmaster. We have been happy with our engine and chassis - although we have two issues with our fan-clutch-gearbox - but overall it has been a great ride, easy to drive, very quiet.
me diz uma coisa que o dinheiro não possa comprar...apenas uma
It cant buy happiness. 😀
I have my serious doubts about their overall quality. For instance, the plumbing they install with improper clamps and faulty connections leading to leaks that can be impossible to fix. Poor quality air conditioners. Siding issues. The examples go on and on and frankly have me very scared of buying a new RV from any manufacturer.
When humans are involved it’s never going to be perfect. We have been very happy with our American Coach, yet it’s not perfect and we have had a breakdown and some warranty work done. However, American Coach and Freightliner have stood by the warranty 100%. They are very complex vehicles, more complex than people appreciate given that they are a home on wheels repeatedly going through earthquakes every time they are driven.
Fleetwood? Luxury? hahahahaaha
It is luxury for the money. It’s all relative. Sure you can buy a $3M coach and sure it will be nicer, but these are reasonably priced and quality for money.
RV construction as a whole is trash. I've been through a major RV factory and the actual construction of these RV's is total garbage. Several hundred thousand dollars or millions of dollars spent on a motor coach and every year the owners spend several days having warranty work done or non-warranty work done. I know dozens of RV'ers that tell me every time the subject comes up that they wish they knew then what they know now about the after sale cost of owning a high end RV. Money Pit comes to mind. Living on the road is exciting, but the house on wheels is totally over-rated. The sales pitch is oddly reminiscent to a time share presentation. Similarly, the end result is the same. A so-called "investment" that you can't get out of once you're suckered into it.
Anyone that buys an RV as a financial investment is simply not paying attention. An RV is a vehicle, a very complex vehicle. What other vehicles (other than antiques, classics, or unique sport cars) do people buy as an investment? Autos, trucks, farm equipment, airplanes, boats - they are all the same, depreciating assets that are utilized for business or for pleasure, not for financial investments.
The only Inês Whole win with this report are : Fletwood and the Woman !!! Bê careful when buying an RV !!
@@fuelyourwander Correct. But people buy them and treat them as homes, which are considered an investment. You're right, though! Not in my portfolio.
A motor home is a depreciating liability. Like a boat only if you are lucky the maintenance is less as you don't have to deal with salt water.
Quality control was sadly lacking when we bought our Fleetwood
Fleetwood quality, LOL your kidding me. More like Fleetwood kick them out the door and who cares if they are crap.
Obviously, your experience has been different than our. Sorry to hear that you feel that way.
Stop talking as salesman and actually show the coach and whats being put together; these reviews are so terrible anytime someone just talks is selling bs
Thanks for watching.
