Wasn't able to attend this lovely gathering held in my home state due to work, needed to hear(or even better watch) something new and happy... woohoo!

Never tripped so hard in my life , this was an amazing set . There are no words to describe the way I was felling that night spaced my face on a hill side all alone during morning dew and changed my perspective of life , thank you . ~ npb

+nick byers Bragging about needing drugs to enjoy good music isn't a good look.

+nick byers I don't think you're bragging about anything, man. Good music by itself can change your perspective of life. So can acid.Experiencing both together is a wonderful thing too.

Phil's in his element here. I don't remember Phil smiling so much with the Dead.

I was there and I have to say that I actually preferred this night to the following night with Santana and most of the Q joining Phil. That night was good too in its own right (much bluesier overall) but I think this one took the cake.

A month after this show Phil revealed he had been battling bladder cancer. I heard from a taper that China Cat Sunflower, Easy Wind, and Box of Rain were printed on this setlist after the donor rap, but weren't played. I wonder if they ended early because phil wasn't feeling well.
