You need to have the key to remove the lever on the outside

Well you could destroy the lock and turn the cylinder, or pick the lock and turn the cylinder to remove the handle.
Hey Wayne - how do I change the handle position and the latch position? thanks
Ya, that part REALLY confused me. It took me about 2 hours to figure it out using the instructions. The spindle wouldn't always rotate the inside latch. Or when I got it to work, the key wouldn't release unless I rotated the inside latch to the wrong direction. Grrr. I eventually realized that the inside door latch does NOT need to end up pointing towards the door edge after the 180 degree turn. Only the SMALL latch on the spindle needs to be pointing in that direction. Reassemble (being careful not to turn the key) and THEN rotate the inside latch to the correct position. But the whole process seemed a little clumsy.
you cut the wrong small hole for the wires
going to have a hard time shutting that door with 2,3/4 latch sticking out that far.

Oh Wayne, your better than this video, that 2X6 piece of wood your using is too thin, that Trilogy needs a minimum 1 3/4 thick, so the mounting screws bottomed out, and come on, what’s with the 2 3/8 backset with that latch hanging out! Shoddy presentation bro..
