For some people that might appreciate this, my fav comands are r_drawtracers_firstperson "0" which removes ur tracers from guns. And cl_crosshair_sniper_width "number" which changes your zoomed in sniper cross thickness.
also "quit smoking" in console makes the smokes in the game go away while they stay for your enemy. only type this when there is a smoke infront of you in a game tho

3:05 setting fps_max to 0 will make your game load infinitely long, so having fps lock is actually necessary for Source games and especially competitive ones to prevent from banning because you haven't loaded in time (which happened for me couple times). I use an actual formula for FPS lock in games, which is "Display Frequency (Hz)×2+1", so for 144 Hz display it would be 289, for 60 Hz it 121 and so on. It makes at least CS gameplay way smoother and has less tearing than with default FPS lock or if it set to 0
I've heard lots of people claim that fps_max 0 is a bad thing, but there's never any proof. (Maybe in case of older computers?)
I've used the command in most of the source games that I played without any trouble.
I always use fps_max 0 and i never have problems. I'm usually one of the first on the server

You actueally don't need alias to make a jumpthrow bind. Just write this in your autoexec: bind [KEY] "+jump;-attack;-attack2;-jump". Change "[KEY]" to your desired key to jumpthrow.
bind "X" "Alt+F4" it really helps when you are bad at some game like CS

mat_info is a command where u can see at what video resolution ur playing, the refresh rate , driver , gpu etc. One time my game was stuttering and laggy when I switched to 4:3 - 1280x960. Apparently that res. only was supported to 60 Hz only on my monitor or whatever.

This is literally the best command on: mirage, overpass, cache, and few more (in ct side, because that command is not that effective in t side and i suggest you to turn it off if you start in t side), bind w "+forward;r_cleardecals;getout", and basically do this to all keys. It works for most of the players.
Play with teammate cuz you might get kicked (if you're not lucky to have that 1 player who doesn't decide to kick you). Check this command!
I recommend you to make a separate config for this and to make one more separate config which disables it. I hope you're gonna be laughing at your teammates raging.

The command bind mouse1 kill brings me memories of 1.6 public server(maybe 30 slots max and 12+ yrs ago) in which i was admin and played a lot. People always wondered how i make scores like 100-10 and when i play good they just say some things like what did you type in console(they didnt even know about external programs like actual cheats but still they accused me for cheating).So i just told them all in private say i think, bring the console down and type bind mouse1 "kill". So i just rushed them and like 5-6 ppl were dying when they tried to shoot. Took em a few rounds to start dying in spawn and crying lol they exit game and go to other servers and same stuff happens. So they came back and beg for a fix, but they laughed about it too!

Also if you tag someone, lets say through a smoke, but clear the decals, you might not realize they were ever even there bc the spatter will be gone

Hey maxim, there are videos on youtube that prove that capping fps ingame reduces input lag. I cap to 144 fps since that is my display refresh rate and any input response time decrease is welcome! I'm doing a quick coffee break on my work but you should find that video pretty quickly.
well then there's the factor of, higher fps values reducing input lag as well.
so if you're playing on 144hz 300fps you probably don't have to care about such details. uncapped will still be better, but if your computer is at 100%, probably capping result in 0.01ms more total latency but less resource usage is a decent tradeoff...

Hey Maxim! I have some stuff in my Autoexec that I think others might think are useful, if you'd like to use them in a video, lemme know!
One of them I enjoy is a bind to shift that zooms the minimap to the area you can hear, and also raises the volume while its held down!
The zoom shift idea is pretty neat but wouldn't that be inconsistent with all the different sizes of maps? Or is the zoom consistent to the player? Perhaps I'm not thinking this through.

iirc setting fps max to 0 might cause issues so recommended value is 999 (if you want maximum fps)
personally binded cleardecals to my reload button so it clears fast enough before my game decides to drop the last few frames i have
3kliksphilip did a video back then showing that fps_max 0 can significantly increase loading times by half. So I'd recommend having fps_max 300 than having it at 0. But it's mostly personal preference

I have 600 fps in csgo with an rtx 3080 but my question is , on my 240hz monitor is it ok to cap at 0? Isn t it tearing screen or gpu? Or should i cap at 300 or 400
2:04 that means the server is set up incorrectly, the server should automatically set your cmd and upd rate

It is actually better to change the safezone on console, because on game settings lowest value you can set safezone is 0.85
I mean true you can have that down to 0.15 for some amazing mobile simulation.
