i'm pretty sure that when you go to "adjust image settings with preview" and select "use my preference emphasizing", you aren't using the 3d settings you JUST changed. You should instead click "Use the advanced 3d image settings"
You can also enable these custom 3D settings to a specified program so that when you launch said program it automatically switches to your custom 3D-setting. After you close said program it will revert the settings back to global 3D settings.
Be careful with the low latency turned on or ultra, it can easily have negative effects. If you get issues after using the advice in this (great) video then try just turning that off and see if it helps.

Great vid the only problem I have is in the first map the FPS boost is rlly good but when I exit the game and go back in it doesn’t save the FPS boost so I had to go back in the game and select it again so I was wondering how I’m able to save it
personally for me the center dot in the crosshairs are not very good, it sometimes distracts you from the enemy. and if you make the crosshair really THICC or big the center dot will scale too.
Model/texture detail doesn't impact performance as much. A lot of people play with global shadow quality on Very Low as it is quite CPU-intensive.
