I finally learn how to pronounce ASANA! I learned through the years how to actually do yoga poses, each yogi I found has their own style and we follow those guru who share a deep sense of purpose with each of us. I wanted to learn it ALL, and I wanted to travel to India or others places to discover those gurus and yogis who may have each discovered their own personal journey. I felt so silly once when I shared in what became a short conversation with a “friend” my daily practice and I said the word ASANA. He giggled and repeated the word as with a question.(?) I repeated it affirming the statement I was trying to convey so joyously and happy. I realized after he was stuck on my pronunciation of Asana. I must have said it wrong. Only I was not being taught how to correctly say the word. For all these years I looked it up, every once in a while I check the pronunciation on line. However not until today do I learn what my friends laugh may have been about. (?) I have learned so much hearing you speak today; AND I have learned powerful Asanas,.. Namaste.🙏🏼
I have never heard anybody explained asanas with such a details how it effects on your body parts and I’m completely touched with the shlokas thought to Indian classical dancers at the end . Hansama I feel god speaks through you. Respect for you your work and you as a most dignified soul thank you very much 🙏🙏🙏
what a beautiful explanation! unfortunately I cannot perform this asan due to cervical spondylitis and loss of flexibility of the body due to my age but nevertheless iam stubborn to meet the challenges of life and iam optimistic that a day I will succeed.
If you have cervical problem then you need not to turn your head in the initial days of practice and after few days you can try head rotations if you feel comfortable I hope that will help you to reach your goal
Yes thank u for the advice but still I try to rotate my neck when sitting padmasana but my self challenge is reach a perfect paschimotasana in the future.
