Isn't that something else that the linen you'd shown had your mother's initials on! That gave me the chills! It had to be for you to find that right! (I miss my mother something terrible! We were very close as mother and daughter. 🥹 )AND! Especially making it into a pillow. Can't wait to see that.

Today is the 4th…..Happy Independence Day! I hope the evening is not too hard on Benji….we used to have a lab that was made so miserable by fireworks. It was pathetic to see. Now we have cats and they seem unbothered. We’re out in the country so I don’t know what will go on around us. We’ll be watching the huge fireworks on TV from DC and NewYork! I loved the visit today. Those two pieces of antique linen are lovely, especially the piece with the beautifully stitched initials. I will look forward to seeing the pillow you’ll be making sometime in the future. I also enjoyed seeing the Ginger and Spice charts….I’d never heard of that company! Neither one appeals to me to work, but they are wonderful! I’m glad you were able to get them. Till next time! Hi Julie, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for your lovely note! I appreciate it so much!
Thank you so much for your question. 100.3 is a silk thread by Au Ver A Soie. It is the silk that comes on a spool rather than in a skein.
100.3 (or sometimes it is shown as 100/3) is a 3 ply highly twisted spun silk. I’m guessing the .3 refers to 3 ply.
It is a lovely silk to stitch with and working from the spool is very convenient.
