I love my m12 fuel impact for all the reasons you mentioned. It's small, light, easy to carry, and packs a punch. I actually find that i use my 12v stuff more than the 18v. These Bosch units look really nice and are super small!

Who's with me that all manufacturers now have it backwards on their tools: The 1/4" hex driver needs to have the CLUTCH, not the drill with the keyless chuck... Here's my argument:
The drill is most often used with loose drill bits, saving the expense of making them hex. YES, there's hex drill bits, and they do offer the convenience of quick change, but there's no arguing you pay more for them and my design still lets the hex driver go into full torque drill mode with the clutch if you want to use those. But here's the challenge: tell me what you use the chucked drill for today that the driver isn't the better tool for -- if it had the clutch...???? Every bit, impact socket, 1/4" extension, flex extension, etc., all of that is designed for the IMPACT DRIVER but IT NEEDS A CLUTCH TO WORK PROPERLY. One of the first brilliant tools was the Dewalt 12v Screwdriver, as they got it. Any cabinetmaker or project guy should have been willing to push grandma out of the way in order to get his hands on one. Good god, tiny, powerful, hex, and a clutch. Simply a dream tool. Now today EVERY MANUFACTURER should be making the impact driver have the clutch, and get rid of the clutch on the keyless chuck drill it's now virtually pointless...
- Impact drivers are more compact to fit in tight spaces to drive screws (it's the chuck, Chuck)
- all fasteners should be driven with a clutch, no question about it
- there's just no major reason to include the clutch in the drill anymore.
Some manufacturer needs to get this and just move on to the next phase and ignore the history that you put the clutch in the drill, because that was the only tool back then. With impact drivers actually being the arguably more useful tool today (and with pretty much no argument against that once they have a clutch), and nearly a must have for anyone other than a very light use homeowner, it's time to CHUCK THE CLUTCH IN THE DRILL, and put a CLUTCH IN EVERY IMPACT DRIVER.

Seems like some impact drives do have a clutch in the form of a digital clutch. i.e. They have different modes where the electronics can stop the motor when the resistance reaches a certain level.

Hey Rob, another great video. If you plan to keep and use the impact, you should invest in some impact rated sockets. Safety first. Also, it sure looks like those batteries would fit the Milwaukee 12v line. Have you or could you try it? Thanks.
Hi Kev, your right thanks. I was just showing the tool in use. I have a small impact set in may trailer. Great eye on the battery design. They are so close but just different enough NOT to fit.

Any word on if Bosch will release a wrench that has torque to match the Milwaukee? 85 foot pounds on the Bosch pales in comparison to the new 250 on the brushless Milwaukee’s.
Why would you need that? If you want more torque, use 18V, 36V, 220V tools, predrill or whatever. This is great tool for small jobs. You certainly wont do the whole roof with 12V impact. LED ring rules :) I'd like to see it everywhere, but I don't like loosing the options of front screws like the old one had:

Probably not cuz they going for small and compact. They will need to increase its size to increase the power. Kinda defeats its purpose

Unless they have improved the chargers don’t even buy the Bosch 12 volt.
Why? I’ve used them daily for 10 years and not had any issues.
All my tools are bosch, never had any issues whatsoever.
