  • We are back once again to critique my decision making in this +24 AD. I had a really good PUG group that made this run pretty easy. I decided to run a different build for this one in that i removed a point in Veneration and instead dropped it into Tyr's Deliverance just to see how it felt.

    The breakdown for all the pulls, and what you are using to make it through is excellent.

    I'm impressed how much damage you're able to pump out and still remain effective as a healer. I'm a 2.9k rated holy paladin and do no where near the amount of DPS you do. I may play a little too defensive at times and pool resources when I do not have to....

      Thanks man, appreciate hearing that from someone that is skilled themselves. I spent a lot of time in season 2 trying to get comfortable with prioritizing damage over healing and figuring out moments where I don’t need to heal. It’s taken some time to get comfortable with that and at times I overdo it some and someone dies.
      It’s a balance that is hard to find, especially in PUGs. This seasons tier set makes it a lot easier to do both though.
      My next video will be focused on how we can maximize our DPS while still keeping the group alive.

    Great video thanks a lot. I know you probably mentioned it somewhere but I could not find it. What addon are you using for those numbers? I've seen it before but forgot about it and it's so satisfying to watch. Thanks a lot.

      Hello! Thank you for that :)
      I have the in game floating text turned on then just the base mod within ElvUI, I think haha. I haven’t purposely installed any addon for it so that is the best bet I have lol.

    Great vid once again, thank you so much! I was wondering, in this video you talk about using Divine Toll + Daybreak combo, but in a RUclips short you made i just viewed, you explain how you do it in reverse (ensure everyone has glimmer, hit Daybreak and only then Divine Toll to re-apply glimmers, utilizing the 2-set piece bonus with 'empowered'/tripple cast holy shocks afterwards). Is it purely situational in which order you do this combo, or do you lean more towards one or the other?

    • @ValiathGaming
      @ValiathGaming  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! Ahh yes, In the short I am describing the combo to maximize its healing potential. I tend to do it in reverse in dungeons as it provides me with more opportunity to do damage as the group would likely be fully healed up after the DT and Daybreak and I now have all those extra holy shocks to dish out damage instead.

    • @ValiathGaming
      @ValiathGaming  7 месяцев назад +1

      Also, in those oh shit moments I don’t necessarily have glimmers out on the entire party so I can maximize the DR it provides to the people I put it on. When unexpected damage goes out and I only have 2 glimmers active, it would take too many GCDs to apply the remaining ones and then hit daybreak.
      Divine toll would reverberate off the ones I have out, daybreak would do aoe healing from removing all of the glimmers, then I now have the option to either spot heal with the extra holy shocks if that is needed, or I can use those for damage instead.

    Just subscribe yesterday! I havnt touched my holy pally since shadowlands and after one week im pushing 15s with ease... always favored healing and find pally the funnest but most skilled capped healer. Only issue i have at moment is my weapon is the 480il two handeed mace but im working with it and removed shield of righteous from my rotation which feels weird

      Hello! Thank you for subbing :) welcome back to the h pal grind my friend haha.
      I have never tried h pal with a 2 hander tbh, not having SoTR would be incredibly strange not gonna lie haha. You find yourself a bit squishy considering the armor loss?

      @@ValiathGaming I started to try out holy yestarday watching your vids and learning a lot, do you think i can be a good healer and do +18s? OR do you think i should make the meta mistweaver to get my healer fix?

      @@apsodyeu3694 1000000000% you can rock it as Holy Paladin! You can easily do 24, 25, and 26 keys with some skill and a good group. Just need practice and spend some time understanding the content you are doing :)
      Heck I ran a +18 on my 444 ilvl resto shaman last night without many issues.

    Great vid man. I'm really struggling with my HP at the moment. I tried Pres dragon healing...and it feels a lot better and i hate that it does.... This vids help a lot though. Keep on keeping on. i did have a question. I can't figure out why you only glimmer the tank so they get the 10%, damage reduction. I can't see anything that says its less if its on multiple people, but i am new to Hol P. big thanks

      Hey man! Thanks for those kind words. My other main also happens to be a preservation Evoker and I have the opposite experience. I find the H Pal is much better suited for m+ than the dragon.
      Regarding the damage reduction, check out the talent Lights Protection :)

      On my runs it does from 20% to 25% of the dmg, probably with next week buffs, hPala will get close to S tier again@@ValiathGaming

    • @ValiathGaming
      @ValiathGaming  7 месяцев назад

      We will see how much more dmg we actually do. Numbers suggest we will do 10-15% more damage with a base of 35-40k so we will probably be middle of the pack as opposed to bottom
