Clarification: I made a poor job explaining Reverberation in the video and mistakenly made the comment that it does group wide healing for everyone, when it in fact only does healing to the target of the player who you are generating reverberation stacks on. Holy shock healing is what transfers to others with glimmers on them. Apologies for the confusion.
What do you mean
Reverberation only hits the person with glimmer on them, not spread across the entire group. I did not make that very clear. @@mikedivittorio3744
You don't really explain how the beacon of light macro works with one button I am probably just a goof and am overlooking something simple but i can't seem to get the other beacon on anything without just moving the first one to them instead.
@@iancrockett6462 hello! I’m sorry about that, what you need to do is hold down shift and it will change which spell you are applying. If you look at the macro itself there is a modifier key “shift”. Hope that helps :)

@@ValiathGaming Pally is my oldest toon, made her back when WoW first launched, so some sentimental value there. But my guilds hpally main is really good and I was inspired to dust mine off, and for some reason, holy has just been clicking with me really well. Relearning nearly from scratch was challenging, but your vid made things digestible and broke everything down so well that even my enhancement main ass could understand :)

I actually was hoping for season 3 tier to remain. It is so good from both a healing and DPS standpoint. I think a lot of paladins believe that the tier set is what made us so good in season 2 when in actuality it was Blizzards tuning of our abilities and the introduction of the exodia comp.
The tier was good don't get me wrong, but it was not the source of our power that rocketed us to the top in season 2. For us to get back to S-Tier and possible meta, Blizzard will have to do a lot of buffing of our abilities again, which unfortunately i don't see happening :(
Great insight! I started playing during S3 of DF so I have no experience outside of that. From what I understand, many specs went through that same situation. People conflated power of spec and tier sets and didn’t look at tuning at the time where the class was strong.
Looking over hpala discussions, many say that they miss having prism feel significant or a holy shock hit hard for damage/healing.
I also understand the point that the glimmer gameplay isn’t very intuitive. It’s hard to see its effect in the moment. I personally like the current too.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see when it comes out. I pray it doesn’t make hpala D tier lol.
Worth pointing out that you should ALWAYS run devo aura as hpal, even if there's another paladin in group providing it. This so you get the extra damage reduction from aura mastery.

Thanks, would yo use this build to raid as well ? and do you feel that if we run this in raids, or even mythics should we be changing our beacons consistently ? Thanks and great video. Amazing guide! really helped me with my paladin! what do you use for chromie's bar? when I do fall I keep clicking on her but your name plate will make that boss fight much easier so I can mouse over her health!

What i do is as soon as i enter the boss room, i target Chromie and the right click the portrait and select "Set Focus". This leaves a permanent unit frame specifically for her wherever you designated your "Focus Frame" to be. Makes it super easy to select her or to mouseover.

Is there an avenging crusader build that is viable? Maybe stacking haste above the soft cap to pump awakening stacks faster
Hello! I have seen some people play with that choice node successfully for sure. For me personally, I like having wings as a CD I can use when I myself decide it is needed, but also the dps boost it provides is quite nice. Not to mention the 20% CD reduction on holy shock marries quite well into our current play style with our tier.
The main problem with AC is that it got nerfed to the ground in 10.1.5 and just doesn’t have the throughput that AW has. It’s fun to play with for sure, but numerically it will probably fall being a bit.
Neither judgement or crusader strike will hit hard enough to provide more healing or damage than holy shock will, and you also lose the ability to use hammer of wrath during wings which can do a lot of dps but also healing if talented into veneration.
I say try it out and let me know how it goes! In the end if you find yourself playing better with it, then that’s what you should run. Be very curious if your wings uptime is higher than the AW build
@@ValiathGaming oh wow I didn’t even know avenging crusader couldn’t use hammer of wrath that’s super lame. I feel like blizzard should just remove AC because they never tune it to be viable! Except apparently last season when I wasn’t playing.
@@attinger117 yeah so wings triggered by awakening still allows you to use hammer of wrath but AC does not.
Is Blessed Focus viable?

Hello! Not really as it reduces the number of glimmers you can put out to 1, meaning it basically cripples the entire spec to the point of it being unplayable.
Is it wrong to not like Awakening? I hate waiting for it to get to 12 stacks and then i fuck it up by pressing judgement at a random trash mob.
Haha not at all! It is the best spec to play though in m+ and does require you to have some patience with judgement. If it’s not for you try out a different build! That is the beauty of this game, nobody can make you do or play anything you don’t want to :)
Hello, what am I missing. Im practing on the dummies and the reverb isnt healing anyone other than the target. I thought maybe it was b/c im not in a party with them so I went to a follower dungeon and its still only healing 1 target (8:41)
Hello! Our tier set reverberates healing to the person with glimmers on them. If you holy shock the same person twice and it’s the only person with glimmers on them, only that person will see reverberation healing. Reverberation heals the target to which you applied the holy shock, and then the holy shock spreads healing to others with glimmers.
This is why you need to manage who you have your glimmers on so you know who to target with your holy shocks to trigger reverberates for extra healing.
@@ValiathGaming I guess im missunderstanding. Im just testing and im divine tolling so everyone has glimmer and then im reverbing it but its only on that 1 person, trying to understand b/c my healing has felt weak
@@adrianmatthis8706 no you are correct, reverb applies to the person you are targeting with holy shock not the others with glimmers. I made an incorrect comment in the video about this. What does aoe healing is the holy shock healing to others with glimmers, not the reverb healing.

@@ValiathGaming ah thanks. after playing more holy paly i realized its not as bad as i thought! on the other hand though, the holy power spenders that heal, word of glory and the aoe both are kind of a letdown
Just fyi. Reverbs doesnt heal ur whole party. It only heals the ally that glimmer is on
Correct, in general you wouldn’t use daybreak or refreshing reverbs unless you need the healing and most likely everyone in your party has glimmers then. I should have been clearers about that, thank you.
@@ValiathGaming Was something changed since this video was posted? Reverb is only working on the person the reverb buff is on. It isnt healing the whole party, it isnt healing anyone else with glimmer

Hello! Yes is still covers some of season 4. Biggest difference is the change in tier set so those parts are obviously not relevant any longer. Our play style is practically the same but the divine toll and daybreak combo is not as fluid as in s3 because we lost the tier set making daybreak a 45 second CD.
There you go again, trying to get that holy light nerfed from healing chromie lol.

Yeah there are quite a few that you may want to run to be fully informed. Completely playable without them too but why make life harder you know lol
Seems like a super over bloated spec.
Actually, it’s the opposite. All of these talents and what they provided do NOT add any more buttons to activate. It is actually one of the only specs that is void of any added bloat whatsoever.
