I remember bouncing around to this as a kid in north east Scotland, then in my teens hearing it and loving it, I'm 38 now and I'm still loving it. I get the appeal of "the proclaimers" but this was more me. Stiltskin nailed this track.

Not a one hit wonder. Footsteps was released 6 weeks after Inside and peaked at 34. A hit is any song that charts at 75 & above. Their last release almost a year later called Rest in Peace only reach number 92 & stayed there for only one week

Every now and then I try google the lyrics I remember and *finally* I found it ........and they happen to be Scottish like me which I also never knew.
