My freshman year of High School was 1999 and this song was literally in EVERY teen show and movie during that time.

In the Summer of '92 I took a vacation to Boulder, Colorado and stayed at the Holiday Inn Holidome which had a giant indoor pool and jacuzzi. Took a dip in the jacuzzi and after a bit these guys come buy and get in. We start talking and I told them what I did and they said they played music. Then they tell me they just released a record. I asked who they were and they said Spin Doctors. That was cool. But in September of that same year I couldn't believe what I saw when watching Saturday Night Live - they were the band! It was awesome. They were princes. So cool! I'll never forget it.

More mysteriously still, my fiancée discriminates between "cold" and "warm" sounds in a way I haven't been able to reverse engineer despite being a musician with a decent grasp of music theory (she's neither of those things)

The early 90s had some big hits but it was not hit after hit after hit like the 80s or second half of the 90s. As for country music though, 90s from start to finish was great.
