    This video is fantastic for anyone interested in DevOps. This video clearly explains how you cannot learn DevOps in four months or six months. Regardless of whether you have experience with other technologies, you have to spend 10 months to a year learning DevOps minimum. Otherwise, if you work in DevOps and learned it in 4/6 months, you don't even sleep properly because of the issues you face at work. It's great to see a video explaining proper guidance for DevOps learners like this one created by Savinder Ji, much appreciated,,

    I saw some of your videos including this awesome video and liked them a lot. Now a small intro of myself. I am a self taught programmer with experience in JS and Python and a 18+ years experience of using Linux. My current role is of Senior Fullstack engineer. I started doing devops related tasks in my company since 2 to 3 years ago because of my experience with Linux. Now I am thinking of getting some professional certifications from the big guns of cloud like GCP, AWS and Azure and also CKA. My question is that is it the right time for me to pursue all of these certifications or should I focus on learning a bit more and then go for these certificates one by one. Also if you think it is the right time for me then which one should I try to get first. AWS is the one that I am most familiar with ATM but I am already enrolled in the Google certification challenge and will be getting a free voucher from them shortly for the PCA (professional cloud architect) exam. Currently the most challenging thing for me is to manage time for family, work and learning.

    • @savinderpuri
      @savinderpuri  Месяц назад +1

      what cloud is your organisation working on? Do certification in that - so that it's easier to show your work in that area.
      I agree - managing time is not easy. However, if you explain to your wife and kids on what you're trying to do with the upskill etc., i'm sure they will understand. It's not perfect, buy you got to do what you got to do mate.

    Sir I have resigned from my company with my savings to focus solely on learning on devops tools and methodologies and eventually grab a devops role! I know the basics of all the tools now, what should be my next step? Make projects using all of them? And how much time more ideally should it take me to grab a job? I feel stuck sometimes while learning through RUclips and Udemy. Can a boot camp help me get real world experience?

      Firstly, I'm never a fan of what you've done. You'd added pressure on yourself to get a job. Having said that, focus on practical projects and getting a job asap. Get the first one you can, and then switch again. Being in a job gives you confidance.

      Python is great for "doing" stuff. Java/.Net etc is required to "understand" development. They serve different needs. If you already have some programming experience, then stick with py. Else, feel the pain of dev and learn Java.
