- Here is a video of how I wash my 2016 C7.R Corvette without a $100 Foam Cannon and using only a ONE bucket method (OMG!) to achieve stellar results. I used Adam's Polishes Car Shampoo and a microfiber pad from Wal-Mart.

Yes! 💯👍 That is how I do it when I’m out of town for a car show! Get it up to about 130 and amazing how quick it wicks away the water spots.
The foam cannon is a lot of work for little result. I don't use mine often. Usually only when I have a lot of time.

Nice. Did you put clear bras on the front since you mentioned you took it cross country road trip and there weren’t any rock chips?
Thanks man! I did not do a clear bra for the trip. I did put a wrap on it. I did not get any road chips during the trip but since I’ve had the wrap and 14k miles I’ve gotten 8-10 rock cuts in the wrap but I don’t see any damage to the Paint. If I had the money at the time I would have put Xpel on the whole front clip and the door sides then the wrap on top of that. But I am cheap, next is new tires, $1500- $2000 💰 ouch
Thanks for the respond. I had a brand new 2016 Z06 and had clear bras on the front and side mirrors. They helped alot. But, due to the heat issue I sold it in early 2018. It wasn't cheap. Just like you I am cheap too. I just bought another one z06 with Z07 package 2 months ago. I think I am not gonna have clear bras on. Saw your RUclips and I am just curious. If you can afford it, try DSC Sport. I just had mine done and I love it if you dont track. Enjoy.
pao x - I was torn about getting the software update but I have yet to talk to anyone who said it wasn’t worth it. Next spring I’m thinking All season tires, I need a rear toe out alignment and likely the update. 💰 But man I love driving it, not too interested in the C8 with lack of Cargo space
Absolutely, love driving it. Drove thru Death Valley when I first had the 2016 Z06 and some portions of the Highways are straight like an arrow as far as your eyes can see. Did 150 MPH once and got scared. After that I just cannt shake off the "BUG" inside of American raw power. Gonna have to get another one so I did it, lol. I live in California in the Central Valley. Have to get rid of my Cup 2 tires and put the new sets on. The tire shops screwed up the left rear camber bolt. The tech stripped part of it. I didn't know until I had the DSC shop near San Diego aligns it. I looked online and Corvette Forum. Found Vett owners also have identical issues about camber, caster and toe. Very few dealers have the proper tools or know how to dial them in. Saw Horsepower Obsessed guy on RUclips who talked about DSC Sport. I did an authorized shop research and found one in Escondido, which it is 5 hours drive away. Love it...worth every penny. I am 61 and have no intent to track my Z06. Just love to cruise on the Pacific Coastal Highways....Not much of a fan of the C8 and the jury still out.
💯 I don’t trust any dealership near me. I watched my local tire shop mount my current set of Super Sports; it took three of them and the supervisor because it is a heck of a dangerous process. I like the Super Sports but get awful nervous in heavy rain so All Season are next plus they are cheaper. I met a guy older than you, he bought a ‘15 Z06 new, had 113k miles on it. His only issue was replacing the supercharger. He drove it from California to Buffalo, NY and was headed back home to CA.
Bought my corvette 3 weeks ago and im the happiest man alive! I wouldnt trade it for anything! Nice z06! Keep it up!

Rusty Zipper Nice!! Its a neck breaker for sure! I got a Stingray with z51 package 2LT. I got it in ceramix grey metallic. Has two chips already! 🤕 but i got the paint protection “deal” from the dealer. Do you recommend taking the Vette before the one year paint protection plan expires or do you think they will jack it up instead of correcting the issues? Let me know man!!!

Rusty Zipper haha they told me they will fix any chips dents etc. I guess ur right ill take it before the plan is due.
