  • We get this question a lot, "How do I lift up my Corvette?", and it's a great question to ask! We always recommend lifting your C7 Corvette when installing our products, so it's only appropriate we show you the way to do it safely! Everyone's got their own way of lifting a car, but in this video, we followed the guidelines set out by your owner's manual with a slight variation to make room for our jack lift.
You'll want a few things to get your Corvette off the ground:
    00:59
A jack. A racing jack like you see in the video is ideal, but they can be on the expensive side.
    High-quality jack stands
Jacking pucks to protect the underside of the Corvette
    A wheel chuck
    A few blocks of wood
    A level ground/surface
    2:25 - Set the car in park/gear
2:43 - Lock the front wheels
    3:15 - Position the jack
4:10 - Where the lifting points on the C7 Corvette are located
7:30 - Place wooden blocks under the tires in case the jack fails
8:00 - Where to place the front jack stands
9:00 - Where to place the rear jack stands
9:14 - Lowering the C7 Corvette onto the jack stands
    9:19 - Remove wheel blocks
9:30 - Repeat procedure for the other side
11:30 - Balancing the height and provide extra insurance
12:30 - Lowering the C7 Corvette back on the ground
12:45 - Lifting off higher than the stands
    12:50 - Remove jack stands
    12:55 - Lower the lift
13:03 - Wheel chuck on back wheels
    13:30 - Final thoughts

I couldn't have said it any better. Pucks are a must have to keep things level and secure. I always use them on C5, 6 and 7 generation Corvettes. Keep up the safe jacking! -Glen

When i bought my 1st C7, i was told to go to the Ice hockey rink & buy 4 used hockeypucks!!! $1 each...
I use them & store them in lt.rear compartment just in case. Works fantastic!!! Joseph is correct in everything he preachs in video....be CAREFUL!!
I bought 2 harbor freight alum floorjacks for $59 ea. They fit under sideskirts and fr and rear lift points. I use the hockeypucks. This setup works great. Dont forget to use wood on top of jackstands to add to grip/protection from gouging frame from steel jackpad contact with aluminum frame!!!...
      This works perfectly for me.

why don't you show raising setting/removing the front jackstands?

Does this allow room to work on the clutch? Im pretty sure you need to remove that cover as well as that bar those jack stands are resting on!

I have heard on these corvettes that jacking from one corner can stress the frame and possibly crack it due to the force on the opposite side of the car? Any thoughts on whether that's a concern or not? Great video

You need to open the hatches. Hood, trunk, both doors. Not doing so will bend the frame. I do my own things to my vette because people don’t know how to handle it, unless it’s the Chevy dealer

Great video! What are your thoughts on using the jack adapters that widen the surface area of the jack so you can lift the entire front and then the entire rear? I was interested in this because I have some jack stands that have a cupped top and was wondering if they could be used in the locations you would use on a hoist/lift

    • @ACSCOMPOSITE
      @ACSCOMPOSITE  3 года назад

It’s a not a bad idea. You’d just need to be mindful with a wider surface area that you are not damaging the surrounding parts (side rockers for instance).

Where do you get those stacked wheel blocks that you're using for extra safety?

would be nice if you actually showed the pucks on the car or the points the pucks interface instead of a diagram. After watching your video I still don't know exactly where to place the jack

What make and model is your car jack?

  • @MikoWorldwide

I heard you are supposed to open the hood and trunk to prevent any cracking because of how this American supercar is made/ designed.

Nice Video Thanks,, just a question, if I want to do brakes 1 wheel at a time, can i just jack one corner at a time rather than the whole car?

What length of 2x4 did you use between the front jack stands and the frame?

Is there a reason that you did this procedure with the Targa top off the car? Will it cause stress or damage? Or is that not an issue? Thanks!

Late response but the parking brake engages/disengages using an electric motor. It is a switch, not a lever.
