@@JamesRichards-mj9kwIt’s the jewel of the series and considered one of the few times in cinematic history that the sequel out did the original. Name a terminator movie more iconic than T2 and I’ll name a liar. I think you’re being contrary for the sake of it tbh.

I was an early 80s baby and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've watched T2 over my life time. To me T2 is the only Terminator movie period. Nothing before it or after it comes close. It would make me so happy for Edward to continue getting his life back on track and star in a "reboot" of the terminator franchise that begins after T2 and ignores all the other movies that came after. Despite their efforts, skynet wins and the war plays out. Furlong builds an army and battles the bots to save the world. Everyone knows that's the new terminator movie we want to see!
I musta watched it every single day for an entire summer with my child hood friend, know every line of that movie. T2 and Pepsi nights. I even remember watching it on a gigantic screen in a Mall in Mexico musta been 30 years ago. He played that cool rebellious kid we all wanted to be.
I met Edward Furlong at Sinister Creature Con in Sacramento back in 2018. He's a very down to earth individual and it was great having a short conversation with him at the time.
I'm proud of you for making it through the battle Ed. You're right, you can't never let your guard down. It's too easy to fall back in. It's great to see you straight.
I’m 44 years old and I remember watching T2 at the movies when it first came out, sitting on the floor stairs along with a bunch of other people. That’s how packed the movie was. T2 was the biggest thing ever in those day’s. AHX is legendary. Eddie looks like a stand up guy, especially after all he say’s his been thru. Very talented in my eyes.
Hollywood need to hire this guy again.it sucks that you can only see him a conferences. There so many roles that he could do. A minimalist reality TV show about his life.
He'd make a great Joker or other villain in that universe, a forensic scientist, a detective. I'd love to see him reprise his role as John Connor but as the hacker "easy money" guy who shuts down Skynet using his intelligence.
@@lopezrome1982 There ya go. He can be cast as 'guy choking his chicken in the corner' extra in t-10 movie. It will be illegal, punishable by t-1000 to chok your sheeken and john conner will fight to get those rights back.
Just came across this vid in my feed and watched it instantly. Eddie was a huge inspiration for me as a kid, because despite the fact that John Connor was a fictional character, he gave me confidence to do things like speak up for myself and be brave in times of crisis. One of the best roles I’ve ever seen someone play. Absolutely love Detroit Rock City, but T2 will forever be my favourite of all time. Thanks man
Ed cracked me up with his honesty in this one. On the disrespect to his T2 character: “At that point in my life there was really nothing I could do about it because I was busy. Doing heroin.” 🤣
This guy went from picked off a Boardwalk in Cali by a casting agent to playing one of the most known characters across the planet. His star rose so fast, and after T2 he did some pretty good flicks, but there was nowhere for him to go but down. How can a 12-13 year old top playing John Connor?
His movie got me through a hard time in the hospital, I’m 26 so I grew up as kid wanting to be him at a time of course, but the movie was playing a lot on the hospitals main tv channels and it was on every night. Shit made me tough through a long week in the icu and I thank you for that my friend
Terminator 2 my all time favourite movie when I was a kid and without Edward it just wouldn’t have been as great as it was! He was in some really awesome movies! Love seeing him with the same hair style and just down to earth he seems like a really nice guy he deserves to be rich and famous like the rest 🤘🏼
What’s most cool about him is the exact T2 John Connor swag from the movie is actually how Edward furlong is in real life. No wonder his acting was so good because he was literally just being himself.
love these interviews. Eddie was the coolest kid ever when i was growing up, I wanted to be him so bad! So glad to see he's doing well with his addictions etc and hope it continues. He's looking great with his new teeth and awesome to hear he's taking care of his health a bit better. I REALLY hope he gets given some new roles soon
Its great seeing Ed is doing much better. Any terminator fan knows that the moment john connor died is the moment the movie died. How Tim Miller didnt understand the simple fact of John connor dead = Skynet wins is beyond me. I really hope that some day Ed takes up the mantle of John Connor again and gives us a proper Terminator 3.
Terminator dark fate is stupid. Tim says he killed him because he wanted to get rid of the notion of messiahs existing yet he replaces him with another messiah who happens to be a woman? That makes no sense. Plus by the films dumbass logic, if the savior of humanity dies then another person will just end up taking their place anyways hence why dark fate implies John Connor is expendable. Well if that's the case then isn't the new female messiah, dani, expendable too? I mean if the movie taught us anything if she dies, then another messiah will just take her place so why even care anymore? Just stupid.
It is because Tim is woke and navigating a woke Hollywood that thinks stories such as this are more important than attracting audiences or box office returns. The studios that are figuring out no one wants this crap are quickly dropping this. The other will go under.
They could portray John Connor in the same way Ed's personal life has gone, addictions/problem due to fame. John could be living a bit rough due to the constant fear of looking over his shoulder, they could explore what that does to him, then he could pull himself out of it, a redemptive arc.
This guy is so open and human. Very nice to see it. I remember as a 16 year old kid going to the theater by myself and watching t2. I thought it was amazing and I always wondered how their lives were. It’s refreshing to see he’s just a normal dude with problems just like the rest of us.
This man needs more love than he gets. He is such an iconic actor and deserves so much better. Everyone is so quick to discard people if they don't live up to expectations.
He had a lot to live up to. His first role was a role he played to perfection in the greatest action movie ever made. Its one thing to meet expectations but expectations you created? You know how many kids in the early 90s america wanted to rip around on their dirt bike and be a little badass because of him? Im 40 and I STILL think that kid was cool as shit.
Pet Semetary 2, Brainscan, T2, Detroit Rock City, American History X, Little Odessa, Animal Factory, etc. All Movies of my Childhood and Youth. Thanks for that, Eddie! ❤ You definelty deserve better than what James did to you in "Dark Fate". I wish you all the best in Life 👍

Kinda hoping that whoever got his stuff in that storage auction sees this and gets at least his pictures back to him. I mean, come on :) Among all of his work, he is still "The" John Connor in my opinion. Others played the character at different stages of his life but he created him for many of us. Dark fate was a damn feminist mess the woman terminator arguing with Sarah Connor about who’s gonna save the girl smh what a soap opera that was
Ummm... like machines were trying to destroy humanity and even the world and 'bad days' are and were upon us. The story is incredible in itself but can you really see him in that plot other than get picked off in the 1st scene. If he cared about overcoming, then he wouldn't be such a perverter middle aged man.
There is only T1 and T2. Nothing else after T2 counts and should be avoided.
I love the honesty! God knows i aint shit. And the fact he can be so raw and so honest about his daily life. Respect Mr.Conner
Facts
To leave a masterpiece behind with you in it so epic, to be written in the archives of history so that your name will forever be remembered en rediscovered by new generations because of it’s impact…that’s what every artist wants. Edward Furlong is blessed.
T2 was crap.
@@JamesRichards-mj9kwIt’s the jewel of the series and considered one of the few times in cinematic history that the sequel out did the original. Name a terminator movie more iconic than T2 and I’ll name a liar. I think you’re being contrary for the sake of it tbh.

Lots of love to Edward, congrats on his new teeth, it looks amazing. I'm glad to see him in sober path and doing well now, keep it up! This is a great interview, well done man!

I hope he knows he’s a legend. My earliest memories is him getting chased by the t-1000 on that dirt bike and truck scene. That movie is sentimental to me more than probably any other growing up in the 90’s and have watched this movie hundreds of times. Thank you for your service in a timeless movie Sir 🫡
He's a cool dude. Glad to see him happy and doing well
Yes glad to see that he jerks off just like us 👍
The thumbnail sure didn't do Big Ed any favors.
@@hangingon Brutal! He looks so bad and looks older than 45, hard to believe Edward is the same age as Brock Lesnar. considering that he was the coolest thing going in the 90’s he should clean himself up and hit the gym he could make a huge comeback,
I was an early 80s baby and I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've watched T2 over my life time.
Same
He can play a Bizarro version of himself. John connor goes apeshit on the humans alongside t-800.
Same same
Same mate, my dad took me to the cinema to see this when I was only 10 years old. My most watched movie of all time.
I'm just glad that he's ok and sober now! He's so amazing in T2, one of the best child performances ever!
This guy is such an inspiration! I will never let myself get as bloated as him! Thank You Ed Furlong for inspiring me!
Are you nuts?! He just admitted it in public to choking his chicken in a corner
Thanks man
Wishing you all best Eddie. One day we might get the sequel we really wanted.
You two are like brothers, great interview. Eddie seems to always be that classic fighter in life, gets knocked down, gets back up, great inspiration.
yeah like WWF's Earthquake and Typhoon
Seeing him as a kid, i never thought he would end up the way he did
Ed cracked me up with his honesty in this one.
On the disrespect to his T2 character: “At that point in my life there was really nothing I could do about it because I was busy. Doing heroin.”
🤣
😂😂😂
This guy went from picked off a Boardwalk in Cali by a casting agent to playing one of the most known characters across the planet. His star rose so fast, and after T2 he did some pretty good flicks, but there was nowhere for him to go but down. How can a 12-13 year old top playing John Connor?
True. It's also another of many testaments that kids just shouldn't get famous. How can such a young mind handle all that pressure and praise?
I consider Edward Furlong as John Connor to be the greatest child acting performance of all time.
American History X. That's how.
Have u watched Detroit Rock City?
@@anthonyvalli2455 American History X is in the top 20 of all time but it’s not better than T2
His movie got me through a hard time in the hospital, I’m 26 so I grew up as kid wanting to be him at a time of course, but the movie was playing a lot on the hospitals main tv channels and it was on every night. Shit made me tough through a long week in the icu and I thank you for that my friend
Furlong's the MAN!!!
Edward Furlong was in some all time great films. I grew up watching T2, American History X among others. Dude was a great actor.
I hope/wish Edward Furlong can get a "comeback role" like Brendan Fraser did in "The Whale".
He's too good of an actor to be ignored!

He seems like the type of guy who would draw a penis on your face while you sleep.
@Tony we’ll write you off too Tony.

I look forward to watching your videos in the future and hopefully you can get a another interview with Edward to see what he’s up to

Thanks for sharing this video. I knew things had gone sideways for Ed and am very happy to see he's doing much better now. Hope it stay's that way. Kinda hoping that whoever got his stuff in that storage auction sees this and gets at least his pictures back to him. I mean, come on :) Among all of his work, he is still "The" John Connor in my opinion. Others played the character at different stages of his life but he created him for many of us. Seeing the character get shot was a bit of a slap in the face for all of us, even if the story called for it. Anyway, great "down to earth" interview!
I’m Ed’s age …born in 1977 as well. I can definitely relate to his sense of humor. Very quirky. I’m the exact same way! He seems like a great dude! He’s obviously been through some stuff. I hope he is able to make a comeback.
Yeah after bashing every movie he was in, admitting he's a junkie, and showing people what a whale he's become, he's definitely not getting hired for any big roles any time soon.

Been a fan of yours ever since I was 13 and always check in every now again to see how you’re doing.
It always saddens me whenever I come across those RUclips shorts that put so much emphasis on the physical changes that you’ve gone through as a result of what’s essentially a disease that you’re seemingly overcoming….and who’s gonna look the same as they did when they were 13/14 at the age of 46 anyway, even those who’ve lived a life of virtue.
Wherever you are Edward, and whatever you’re doing, I hope you have a great day and so all the best from me, all the way from the UK 🇬🇧
Good video. I was a junkie in my past so I know what it’ feels like to feel like helpless and in no position to call shots on something important to you because your just so deep in the shit. Glad he got sober and said what we a lot of us feel.

Yeah man. 8 years clean from dope. The clank did it for me. Resparked my passion for what I love and what I’m truly addicted to. Really changed my life. Eddie was on the tv when we were around the same age I’m 3 years his junior but T2 was a massive deal to me and Eddie just played the part so well I always wondered what happened to him. Now I know. Them two in a buddy comedy ? A comedy or a XXX rated movie about wacking off ? Majority of the time, Furlong talked and talked about masturbating in front of older relatives. It's a creep fest over there with them two together.
He was so cool in T2, an embodiment of youth in the 80’s/90’s
I think I'm a bigger fan of Edward as a person than I am of his characters. Such a down to earth genuine soul who has had real world struggles but is working to overcome them. Id love to see him make a huge comeback in Cinema. They should let me direct a Terminator film. Id bring it back to the horror side of things with Eddie in the lead.
It's great to see him feeling good, being sober, being constant, losing weight and enjoying his family 🖤 He's feeling good and it reflects in his look, he's looking better and better everyday. Hope to see him again in a great role soon to display his fabolous acting skills as in American Heart, A home of our own, Little Odessa, American History X, Before and After and soooo on....
