Blessed be the Lord forevermore! Amen and amen! Psalm 89:52 I remember reading this in my Hebrew studies, prior to my baptism. It is so nice to have a fresh take on this. Thank you, God, for your word and for your son, and thank you for sending Skip. Amen. Thank you, Skip, for presenting this.
❤ love this! Jonah’s story is a great example of how important spiritual maturity is for our relationship with God. It puts the command to love our enemies in perspective.
You have made the books of the Bible come alive nd doable in my life. Your deep perceptions also your sense of humor enrich my life. May God bless you with more wisdom nd good health. You are a blessing.I am a senior Filipino.
I love the way you bring the word of God to life. Your teachings are so enjoyable and you make it so easy to relate. I speak a word of blessing upon you pastor Skip. May God continue guiding you.
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. 💫Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour??? I do. 🌏
Hello Pastor, I am learning a lot from you. I became your student. I say pray to God I want to know him, so I stoped to give my time to social media and I am doing bible study with you online on RUclips. God bless you.
It was one of the biggest revivals but at the same time, all of Ninevites lives depended on it. If you want to think about it in the allegorical sense, believers lives (eternal) depend on believing in God and repenting too, however believers today are less scared of a potential spiritual damnation when they still have the option of living their earthly lives. Now if a city was told to repent or they will die, the number of believers that would come from it might jump to 30-50%(guessing) because people would call the prophet a liar or crazy. Nevertheless, It would be interesting to see what this would look like in todays context.
So if Lamentations was available then Jonah went to Niniveh after the fall of Jerusalem to the Babylonians? I thought he went there at the peak Assyrian power before they besieged Jerusalem but after they have already devastated the northern kingdom.
Skip, thanks for this well-prepared and lively lesson. May I ask a question? Have you given any thought as to why the king of Nineveh didn’t try to summon Jonah to a face-to-face meeting? (I have an idea about this, but I'd like to know yours.)
Your account of James Bartley was proven wrong. I start out with this only because I have appreciated your teachings as I grow in my studies with The Lord but I would like to know if someone cared enough to correct me out of love and truth. Be careful on your studies for your sermons as we are held to a higher standard among the people we teach
you're pretty damn good but 19:00 but the comparison is not the same. The comparison is that you're a janitor and all you need to do is mop (just tell the people what you heard of the prophecy, because it's an easy job) but now the janitor has been asked to work at a hospital that's in the middle of the war and is statistically going to be downed soon. Yes you want to do your job but that's an insane proposition.
I dont agree Jonah did wrong per-say. His action could have been smoother for sure. If God wants everyone to listen to Him without questions and self-reflection, God will not have given us free will. God not be able to demonstrate His compassion.
Do enjoy your teachings on the scriptures ... however, sometimes it seems we add things that are more or less added by mere men ... such as Major and Minor Prophets. In the New Testament when Jesus addresses Jonah ... he merely calls him a prophet and not a major or minor prophet. In light of this, I feel we should too. Thanks.
I was gaining a lot of knowledge from this teaching until the Michael Jackson comment. Making fun of his skin condition…not good. Wonder what God would think… glad he is slow to anger, full of Grace and Mercy. 😢

Tracts and pamphlets are also a good way to give out the Gospel.

Reminds me of Moses when God told him to go get His people from Pharaoh.
Spoke too soon You mentioned it at 18:00 ! God had already called on Moses'bro because he knew Mo was nearly as stubborn as Pharaoh !
Awesome!

Love your sermons. However impossible to siphon from the black water on a camper without opening the large valve, then you basically wear it...
haha @12:45, when I had braces my orthodontists' name was Dr. Paine...

One thing I know; dentists always live up to their name
Gotta be a wale because they are mammals, that have to get rid of the water in them and fill their lungs with pure oxygen!

The upcoming solar eclipse is God's final sign of Jonah. April 8th 2024

What do you say about his hair?
Pastor Skip seems pretty harsh towards Jonah.

I have issues with people in my church...maybe I'm a Jonah...lol..
I'm a petty creature.
