Hello..I was wondering where can I find the source that explains pharaoh becoming king of Nineveh ..thank you in advance
@@13spider53 I dont believe there is one, the Exodus took place in approx. 1446 bc and Jonah went to Nineveh in 750 approx. bc.... I had the same question.
As a Christian, I have read this story many times, and it's one of my favorites. One thing about it that isn't really clear until you research the history of Nineveh. The city was near the Tigris River, which connects to the Persian gulf, and one of their chief gods was a fish god. So picture it from their perception. A large fish, the avatar of their god, appears and vomits up a prophet who declares doom if they don't repent. I find it a hilarious example of God's sense of humor.
They are worshipping one of the 4 end time fallen angel in charge of all the waterways. While here, they have their fun and trick humanity into worship them as gods. Prayers are energy, heard, felt and desired by these entitites. Its food to them and they grant your desires until your soul is emptied. This is why angels are NOT to be prayed to, but one may pray to the Father to send angel if needed. All heart energy goes to the Father as instructed by His Son.
its genocide....why don't you people see that? repent or die? Really? that's oppression.... guess you would justify genocide in the Americans huhnative
@@lonnie008 an interesting take. Tell me, do you see it as murder for a judge to give the death penalty to a convicted criminal?
Seems to me that the fish god may have just been passing on its way to the place that fish and alligator gods rest. It would be rude to just let the Hebrew drown and for the Torah to be even more confusing, so Fish-god swallowed the bloke and vomited him back up to continue his quest. All very plausible.
@@ezekial1442 fascinating, thought provoking.
The moral here is that we are past yesterday, and tomorrow is not here .. The moment is now .. Repent and don't sin anymore .. Every second in your life counts .. Trust in God and live for God .. Have faith .. Amen

I love what you say....
So God wanted wanted over 6 million jews alone to die in the holocaust. The loving father stood by and did nothing , not a thing to prevent this. God has serious mental issues.
So can you run from Lucifer then?
Firstly, Brother you are missing the point. Secondly, your statement has complete ignorance to the freewill that God gave us.
@@tomakafrankconlon3207 u need to dig deeper and ask why it happened. Every time the Jews strayed or broke their covenant with God they became enslaved and killed to near genocide . This kept happening over and over and over through out thousands of years.

Jonah didn't want God to have mercy on them because they were so cruel to his people . He struggled to get over his anger very understandable being human .

Spiritually is meant to be a simplistic thing. This is why God says we must be innocent as a child to reach heaven. The moral of this story is God places a calling on some of our lives. Which means we must walk accordingly to his direction. When we go off our path we will find ourselves somewhere not desired. It will be known to even others and ourselves that something is wrong and off. Alone, without direction....until we seek him and give ourselves to him...willingly.

The TIMELINE of the Exodus was around 1450 BC. Jonah started serving as a Prophet around 780 BC. The Pharaoh during the Exodus would have died many years prior. That Pharaoh could NOT have been the King of Niniveh.
I thought the same. I guess Pharaoh could have become the King of Ninivah at an earlier time, and one of his descendants on the throne at the time of Jonah, but I can't see how it could have been the same guy after all that time... 🤔
Two things. Pharaoh could have been a different one, but could have been the same too. Why? because jewish believe in reencarnation. That's why the pharaoh was the same who had messed up with Mosses.😌

Our thoughts are the sea and God breaths his truth on our thoughts and the friction causes a storm. Jonas is forced into the belly of a fish and tacken to the depths of mans thought and Jonas is allowed to see himself as he truly is. From bottom to top. He cries out in despair and understanding.
He realized that every thought and action effects everyone else and that if you live as a human you make everyone else live the same way. God sends people with his light as an example to others so they can see more than themselves and focus upwards.

I’ve always read the book of Jonah as how the Lord kills racism in His people, among other things. Everyone needs to hear what the Lord has to say, whether we deem them worthy or not. Everyone needs to make a decision on their status with the Almighty, whether we believe they don’t deserve mercy or are worthy of compassion.

It is my favorite story, and I learned more, thank you.
Exodus 14:28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
So after losing his army, pharaoh just went on up to Ninevah and conquered it single-handedly, then waited for Jonah to come around several hundred years later? How did I not know this?
Thanks for catching that! For the majority of commentators here, your point goes right over their heards! Unfortunately, the Talmud is loaded with stuff like this. Just like equating Esua with Rome which hhistory, linguistics and DNA have shown have no connection. These stories and many more were collected into a new Torah called the Talmud. Then they did some more called the Zohar.
I'm trying to understand why he is teaching that the Red Sea Pharoah was in Nineveh. Someone connect the dots if this is true. Is Jewush history...timelines...different from what we have available to us?

Jonah's story is described with very few words, but it's much deeper than what we just read.
God's compassion is definitely the most important, something we tend to 'forget' while reading, because we often focus on the end of the story.
But how about the beginning. We also need to appreciate all those who were saved, because Jonah disobeyed God (yes, this is completely against all logic). I bet God knew in advance that Jonah would try and run away, and that he found probably the worst ship available, where people were far away from God.
Now everyone of these people ended up worshipping God. Isn't *that* amazing ? :)
-So not only was Nineve spared, but also the ungodly people that God did not tell Jonah about.
It tells us that God has compassion for everyone and that He wants everyone to come back to Him.
Thank you.
Thanks for your message
I have learned that before I even think to judge anybody I must reflect on myself first and my past when I was a sinner.
I realize then that I was the same and that my sins was bigger than the person I even thought of judging.
The problem is that it is very easy to judge others.
Thanks for your message it just popped on my YT stream but it carried a message for me.
