So I called Copart and said Samcrac referred me. They said "Great! We will give you half off double the regular price." I was so excited I bought 2 pizza cars.
this comment was made by copart gang
yes- nut they may have put some pizzas to the car.. that`s bonus.:)
Bear's Workshop this was very clever😂😂
Is This A Joke? If Not Pls Make A Video About It Pls! I Love Seeing The Cars Get Rebuilded.

Actually, those headlight washers were popular because they were mandatory for all vehicles equipped with xenon lights
:)
Was looking for this
Explains why my w210 have em but they are not straight and it bothers me
Hu, I had no idea. Did that get repealed?
Why only xenon lights?
Still is mandatory for xenon lights. What I've been told is because the xenon lights are so powerful and bright that when crap and snow sludge builds up on the light it diffuses the light to every direction, including the eyes of the people coming the other way.
Was the new steering wheel really an upgrade ? What do you guys think? I think the factory one looked way better.
New one looks like it's been hitting the gym too much.
I do not like this new wheel
Agreed
Yeah it looks bulky
It’s an autobahn storming bruiser so the OEM wheel is much more in keeping. The sports one looks ‘low rent’!
Omg you weren’t kidding about putting that pos steering wheel in lol 😂😂😂😂 it looks completely ridiculous.
That steering wheel looks so much worse 😂
Liam Tozer I thought it was just me who thought that. Looks like I wasn’t the only one!
it does look like crap, but still better than an aluminium road sign glued in his ferrari to replace the factory floor
@@tonybarden8563 Ha, indeed! Baby steps.
Feeler gauge.. Diameter.. Got it!
Filler
🤦🏻♂️ it’s not his fault he’s an idiot.
Trust me, samcrac gets almost every one of his video sponsored just for his creativity in his ads.. everyone sees his ads. I'm 💯 sure. Hats off to you Sam! 💜
ACS Vlogs facts.
@@marklivarchuk5969 yup
Yes this is an advertising channel
The new steering wheel clashes big time with the dash.
Yeah...that thing looks absolutely horrible.
Agreed, does not fit the interior of the car at all. Looks bad with the Mercedes center airbag module.
Nurse Elliott totally agree. Also lost the shift buttons
Thats ridiculous
Having worked on cars since my pre-teens, I find your program very interesting and exciting. I was introduced to European cars through a friend with Fiat, Alfa, and Ferrari. Later I was introduced to Porsche and Mercedes. Which led to the race shop of freeman/Newman and then to teaching Auto Tech at the Univ. of New Mexico and finally retirement. Now at near 76, I enjoy reminiscing... I wish you the very best...
That new steering wheel looks janky with the old center part.
It looks horrible lol
I prefer the he old centre part....the new wheel looks trashy.
Like in a clown car
lmao Reading through the comments section and samcrac has some brutal commenters. 😄
With a new pulley and tune this salvage Mercedes is going to become a savage Mercedes
*salvage because it will crash
Still one of my favorites. E55 AMG is a beauty.
Rebuild is so easy. All you need is ease all the code and call it a day. I am a rebuild master now.
Seriously dude great job with all you cars. Can’t wait to see you finish more cars in the future. Ignore the haters!! You rock 💪
It looked like you put the steering wheel back on in the wrong position.
I was looking for this comment👍
It was turned to the left when he took the oem rim off, so it's installed correctly.
@@End3r_Wiggin Look again. It's not.
@@qemuandroid_8.144 You're correct. It's the opposite direction.
Noticed the same as well!
I bin using feeler gauges wrong for 40 years, I should have been measuring diameters with em.
Ikr? Lol!
Ok boomer
Was the pulley gap even all the way around? It looked off when you spun it at 5:41
definitely looked a bit wobbly, might need the clutch part replaced
i saw that too lmao. was wondering if anyone else did
I noticed it to but I was under impression that he knew what he was doing.
the wobble looks like it is vertical not horizontal, seems that the back plate of the pulley has a machining issue...
@Hay Mamacita 😂
Sam's putting in work!!! Love the mods!
You will get there Randy. Hang in there bud.
Yeah, you change the wheels from black, to chrome!! it’s looking good, Sam
It's good to see regular videos now a days Sam, keep it up
I became a Samcrac sub in November 2017, (the DXP car) I can't believe he now has almost 860k subs. I'm literally astonished at how much he has grown in 2 years.
Like the extra detail in the rebuild. More interesting than time lapse. I'd even enjoy seeing the screw ups to see how you recover from them!
sam and goonzquad really motivate me to chase my passion in cars. I freaking love you guys
Sam, there's an Extended Limited Warranty on your model. You can have your ESP/ABS Brake lights fixed for free under the ext. warranty! Go to MB dealer and have them check your VMI. My friend with similar year/model just had his ESP unit replaced with a brake fluid flush included and didn't cost him a dime. There is also an Extended Warranty on the fuel tank so if you tell them you smell a fuel odor around your car and also outside of the vehicle especially when tank is full, they will pop-in a brand new fuel system and possibly even a fuel pump under the warranty. Just an FYI, might help your case.
Silver Star
I got that same radio, if you want to update it no hassle or jankyness then use a pny flash drive for the flash drive to the suggested port and even when all updated leave running for another 15 minutes. Don’t ask why, all car systems don’t update at all or super hard unless pny flash drive. Don’t turn off while doing or lose power else you’ll brick it
I am always amazed at how you can take stuff apart and then put it back together again so well!!
I like the fact that you actually get projects done. It makes your channel alot more interesting/tolerable vs other channels that get no where😆😂
Cough *tavarish* cough
Lovin' this one Sam! Big Benz fan!
Great video! The car is in pretty good shape
I thought you were smart until I heard you say that the feeler gauge represents different diameters lmao 😂
Alex Cass just one of those brain fart moments ☺
Agreed....hahhahha diameter hahah
Great video Sam always look forward to your videos
Damn Sam, you make that look so easy!! Hats off to you!!
I own a bunch of AMG'S and I like Sam! He knows his cars!
I gave this video a standard sized Like. I couldn't find the HUGE Like button anywhere.
Pro tip! : When working on the front of any motor, I like to drape a piece of cardboard over the radiator so if I drop anything, (like that pulley) there is no risk that it damages my new rad!!! Great Vid Sam!
Greetings from South Africa. Love your videos
Sam is a true shade tree mechanic. Great job.
6:30 disconnecting the battery in the trunk always reminds me to put a towel over the latch. I remember almost 15 years ago my friend was painting his car candy blue and accidentally closed his s2000 trunk with the electronic connector disconnected. ( the keyhole was shaved) .
Beautiful fast car mann can’t wait for the finished product
Love the steering, I wonder if when you put it back shouldnt it be in the very same anble it was pulled off?
Nice safety glasses, Sam! All kidding aside, you are going to get an alignment & re-orient the steering wheel to the proper straight ahead position, right? An increase in power demands that the car really goes where it's pointed - not a rough idea thereof. :)
Always love your videos Sam!
Put some loctite on that 10mm hex bolt, they have a tendacy to come loose after a while
the factory bolts come with a little threadlocker on them when you purchase them new
Still came loose after about a week on my w124 300ce
I like to picture Sam actually likes the free music in the background and he’s just getting it while editing videos or working on auction cars. Random
Nice job Sam . Even with the mods, this Benz won't prompt you to vomit...lol
Loving the videos Sam! Keep inspiring!
Yes great channel!
Favorite Channel
Old steering wheel was much better suited for the car. It’s a classy car, and deserves a classy steering wheel, not that cheap junk
Samcrac getting a car from copart, wow! Talk about new content 😀
Dat steerin' wheel is totally gangsta bro!
That steering wheel will be off by a Lot lol. Aligment Will not be possible, so just remove it and install it properly
He put it back on in the wrong position
Steering alignment will be fine it's the steering wheel that will be off.
I love your videos Sam. I wish you lived in California and California had better regulations on salvaged auctions. I'll need a broker to buy. My family really needs an inexpensive car. I can do the upgrades and repairs( besides frame damage and anything that is not worth the time consuming labor like having to bore out the heads due to head gasket problems). I watch you and feel inspired and I wish I could somehow have you help me so that I could do this right and not get scammed. I was thinking of going for fuel efficient Honda civics or something similar but some cars are super cheap and some aren't even though they look identical and have a r and/or d and seem fine. Then reading coparts reviews and knowing I need a broker kills me!
Enjoyed the video keep it up
Love the E55, still my dream car. Would love to buy one.
Hey Sam, like the videos. What do you think about the 2004 BMW 330i SMG models with sport package? Keep doing your videos.
You've lit a Copart restoration fire in me
where did you learn to use a feeler gauge.. please tell me you went up and down in size to make sure youre actually at .010
That first instrumental was banging
Sam - How about a video on HOW you get things done....
- What's the method you use to keep track of what you take OFF the car, so that it goes back together correctly?
- The tools that you use, like the scanner, for instance?
- What NEW tools are you hoping to get? (I think you could really use a lift.....)
no mention of the car asking for airmatic since you took it out. did the maxicom have that option to disable it?
Did you disable the Airmatic system? Or how are you going to handle the error codes about that... I think with airmatic was nicer, if it worked like it should.
Hey Sam can I ask which broker do you use here in Florida? Thanks for the great videos!
Now did he put thread locker on that wheel that was indexed to the right when he took it off and going left when he put it on?
Finally you are taking care of your other cars!
The legend says, the sooner you watch samcrac's video the sooner he will say hello!! 😂
How is this possible? Samcrac's totally turned into a bonafide shade tree mechanic!
Brah!!!! Been watching you a Long time!!! The cars are getting BETTER AND BETTER. 👍🏼 you can't keep them all ..STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO SALE THIS ONE OR ANY OF THE EUROPEAN ONE'S... 🤩🤩🤩🤩 DM ANYTIME.
Come and buy I have plenty of inventory
Sam, you should really consider getting a fixed pulley instead of the clutch pulley, gives you more all-around torque and won’t disengage the supercharger. All around gives you more power. Only downfall to doing that is that it gives the supercharger a horrible ticking sound.
was the old steering wheel facing a little off to the right ???
the new one is off to the left.??
Can someone tell me if there is some kind of bracket that goes from the crash bar end and holds the oil cooler/fan, i cannot see this on this video because Samcrac does not remove those parts here.
Yeah the washer nozzles and fittings always seem to fall apart if you just touch them. On my '06 Pontiac G6 GTP, 1 nozzle windshield nozzle broke. I ordered 1 to fix it, installed it, the other size broke when I took the line off. -_-
Another great video , i'm also in florida where are you located ?
Is it any harder to get the title rebuilt, or more expensive to get the car from Georgia? I’m in Florida too...
So you pulled the airbag with the battery connected?
Sweet job on the E55.. but since you did the wheel don’t you think you should go custom on the shifter parts? 😎
I love this car! I need to get into this auction action.....I'm gelous of all the sweet cars you find and turn around! I'd never be able to sell any,I love them all. That Mercedes is sexy, black and shitload of power! Yup love it
Nice that you can buy a salvage title car from Copart in other state, but about registering it after you've fixed it? Do they make you jump through some hoops? I'm in Illinois which could be one of the worst places for that.
Wait if you live in Florida, how do you register your salvage cars?
Awesome vid and buy sam!
MORE POWAH BABY
Sam...... why don’t you use the start stop button instead of using the key?
hmm did you mount the steering wheel the wrong way? it had a different angle when you took the old off
Sam, heartcracc dis.
Hi Sam a great video as usual. But on a point of safety, I do hope you left the battery off for at least 15 minutes before removing the airbag ??? Just to ensure there was no residual electricity which could set it off . They are very dangerous indeed out of there normal position . Regards Paul in the UK 🇬🇧
Sam- what's your take on the photos Copart has for listings? It really seems like they go out of their way to minimize the amount of damage they show- particularly of the interior. I've wondered if this is just the product of amateur photographers or an attempt to hide info from potential buyers so they might bid more than they should.
Did Sam just installed the steering wheel back on in the incorrect position?? Seems its 45 degress out from where it should be.
You Should Race LegitStreetCar E55 Pls! Anyway Nice Video Mate!
If your replacing a steering wheel don't move it off center like he did. I would be surprised if it's properly aligned and straight.
you should re-watch the video
@@djsonicc so I can see the same thing all over again? Pass
Good job
the headlight washer nozzles are mandatory in Germany for Xenon headlights
12:18 I love that outro song :)
Im sam just bought this new Amg here. It’s fun to drive up here in the Hollywood hills. But you know what I like more than materialistic things? Knowledge. In fact, I’m a lot more proud of these seven new bookshelves that I had to get installed to hold two thousand new books that I bought. It’s like the billionaire Warren Buffett says, “the more you learn, the more you earn.”
Dude, did you really use a torque wrench on the automatic tensioner to put the serpentine belt on?
How much for the AMG now that it's back together
I live in florida and seen a little blue car just like yours driving around
How much did you get to Benz for? Or Did Copart's give it to you is a gift in order to represent the website through your Channel?
Since the radiator was recalled, could you have had Mercedes replace it for no cost?
Yup they will fix all recalls for free. I bought a older BMW and couple years later I received letters from BMW to repair a recalled airbag on the steering wheel. I changed the wheel and airbag myself already. But how does BMW even know i own that car? Didn't purchase it from a dealer! Strange....
That steering wheel is ugliest thing i saw
You didnt align the steering wheel with the angle sensor 🙈
Usually the wheel speed sensor trips the abs and or traction control light to stay on. So you probably have a bad wheel speed sensor hopefully and not the abs module.
Ya need a Samcrac shop coat?
Man I love this car
