I feel the same. I always appreciate a garage update. Hoovie and Tavarish have done one in recent weeks, it’s Sams turn to crank out an easy 15 minute video with a couple mid rolls for that sweet sweet ad revenue.
He sold an Audi last year (at least listed it) but I think he still has everything else. There were a couple episodes, circa pre-Pizza Car era, where he kept making comments that he’s not a flipper, he doesn’t do this to flip...overly adamant
Yeah especially the Ferrari where he glued the bottom piece with bathroom caulking..hahaha
Sam , I'm really sorry to say but you've become a shopping channel, you've lost sight of what we all loved about your early videos which was seeing you rebuild stuff. Good Luck for the future, hope you achieve your dreams.
The E55 has a facelift front grill, you will need a facelift front bumper in order to have it all fitting correctly.
It also has facelift rear lights.
Bademeister333 No, stock e55 rear lights.
Issen Did the E55 always has the LED brake lights?
He has the bumper that cone with the car and it is in a good state.
That is correct the car needs a Suvneer front bumper, the tail lights are e55 original ones. This was my car before I totaled it

This was awesome Sam.... Not many youtube creators will buy a car, get it back to their workspace, do a walkaround AND fix 90% of the mechanical damage all in one episode! Very gratifying watch haha.

Sucks the way they pick the cars up with those fork lifts possibly causing scratches and even more damage.
I heard the reason for that once but I'm not sure anymore. I think they couldn't do that another way for some reason
They're 100% fine 99% of the time.
@@Djuztin what tf did you try to say?
A lot of these cars don't run, and many have suspension damage so they can't even be towed. So the forklifts make sense. But, they will often slap a "no fork" tag on high end supercars

The Red pastik-plug you pulled of is for dipstick motoroil. My 55 has a yellow one. Look at the flexdisc and the Transmissionmount at the driveshaft. I stay with airmatic 👍.

Gotta go to Manheim to get deals sometimes. I just got a 2003 CL600 with AMG package for $1100. Complete car, just missing power transformer and coils.
I've had good copart deals too though, my quattroporte is gorgeous and was just $3300.
@carfaxts daily we will see. It had a misfire, a whole bank had clean plugs. The car was a repo, previous owner passed away.
@carfaxts daily just my experiences with auctions, but non runners or salvage title cars at Manheim sell for disgustingly cheap sometimes. We had a 2007 supercharged Range Rover Westminster go for $600, didn't have a key. Tons of $200-300 running cars that would sell quickly to the public for $1000-1500.
You mean Mannheim in Germany?
@@Janimi312 Manheim is like the biggest dealer only auction. They are all over the world. I live in Vegas, for reference our local copart may do 300-400 cars a week, our local Manheim does over 2000 cars a week.

Their fins must point at the rear,to extract air in the relative air movement you create while moving.

I got a set of front Shocks new in the box for this. They are the most common issue. The seals leak and they are cheap and easy to fix and the air shocks are cheap as well.
This engine sounds like it might need New engine bearings since the accident damaged the oil cooler which in turn pumped all the oil out.

That E55 is an incredible find, I’m very envious. Did you get a service manual to help with the air suspension removal?
🚩🚩🚩 Sam, turn the key to ACC ON, then hit the odometer reset button 3 times in a row, that gives you the service menu on the dashboard which will give you useful things like 🌡OIL LEVEL🌡 and battery voltage. Just scroll through with the menu buttons on the steering wheel
I cringed when he started the car without even knowing how much oil is inside. It takes 5 seconds to get specific oil level in the service menu.
Another great video. The Mercedes looks nice 👌
I bought a 2003 CLK500 because you took the fear out of European cars for me. This is another great build, and I am looking forward to watching it. Thanks for the FCP Euro Tip!
I've owned a 05 E55 for a few years. Hands down its the best car ever!! Sadly, mine was hit in the same area as yours. So its getting rebuilt.. Had to stop the video to search for the CL65 you showed. That is the rarest of the modern AMGs.. one of my dream cars.
With it being a 2003, I would change the radiator as well. Since you're there. The early 2003 had issues with the integrated trans cooler that would mix with coolant.
Sam which youtube are you going to get to fix this one ?
Somebody sponsor this man a car lift.
It's probably space issue, not getting a car lift.
So fun watching your vids and will eventually do my own. I exclusively buy my cars at auction through Copart and iaai. Anyways, keep vids coming. Really looking forward to you finishing up your Ferrari fixer. Really hope you get the issue resolved.
That was cool that you were able to show us some rides aside from you getting yours and going. Keep that up.
No oil dipstick? Why do engineers think that is a good idea, I would always trust a visual confirmation over a sensor any day.
The owners of those cars either dont know or will not check it themselves anyway. At least the computer can warn them if its low and they need to take it to the shop.
because, Mercedes. that's why. No oil? OKAY you buy a new car now.
Because new car designers and engineers aren't as smart as they think they are. I bet if you talked to an auto engineer from the 70's they see what they're doing with cars now and scream.
One such example is: I have an F150. The battery went dead and sat for a while. When I charged up the battery the power windows didn't work. I found out the "ecu has to re-learn that you have power windows" why in the hell are the power windows connected to the ECU? It's a freaking switch that makes the window go UP and the window go DOWN. No complicated wiring harness wired to the ECU is necessary. Same as the sun roof, the power rear sliding window, everything. There's actually a printed circuit board under the switches that is a common fail point.
@@muskokamike127 wrong, they are ensuring that basic maintenance is done at the dealer, which will discourage the diy guy from doing any larger repairs or maintenance if they make the most basic of procedures more difficult. It ensures most, if not all maintenance is performed in house, generating revenue and upselling opportunities for other repairs. It is a smart business move when you already have a demand for your brand simply because of it's name, people will still buy it and brag about how elite the service being performed is.

Question: On the car like the Porsche with minor dents and scratches why is it given a salvage title if it looks like it could be easily fixed?
You can see in the screenshot that he showed that it was a theft recovery, meaning that it was stolen and State Farm wrote the owner a check, and then after it was recovered the State Farm sent it to auction to recoup some of their loss.
