Be glad to share with you what I have learned fishing with the top crappie fisherman/guide in AZ. I have fished with him 5 times now. He just won the national crappie tournament at Alamo yesterday.
Roosie is tough right now. I have a small 14' aluminum boat. Wind is an issue. Bartlett is just a bit too windy next week so I am going back to Roosie Monday.
@@TheFishinMagician20 helped gane and fish distribute Christmas trees Friday. Bartlett is so low in front of Yellow Cliffs looks like a river not a lake.
Crappie fishing is my fishing. Its what i do most and am best at. Granted it helps when you grew up 25 miles from a top 5 US location for crappie. Lol.
Great video! I am in Southern Utah and have a few crappie honey holes here. I use a 2.5 chartreuse gulp minnow, especially when they aren't biting good. They can't resist that gulp minnow. If we could use live bait a small minnow would be choice (I'm from PA so crappie and walleye are my specialty)
I was gonna say something about the livewell but someone beat me to it. I always carry a floating fish basket with me just in case something like that happens
I actually prefer the mid - smallish sizes the best, the big ones we let go. But yes this was just the first time out so are size we were keeping was on the smaller side. Now we usually keep the mid size only and release everything else
Yessir. In the spring time they will move up much closer to the bank so you can minnow and bobber, cast small plastics at them, etc. this time of year now tho they are all a bit deeper and usually require at least a boat or kayak to get to.

@@tbolt bucket has holes in the bottom because it only fits into the live well, and the one one is too small cuz of the minnows. It was either the dry live well or on the boat deck lol
Correct me if I'm missing something, but why in the WORLD don't you say what lake you are on right off the top? You are the only one who doesn't say what lake. It's frustrating.
I do usually, sometimes I don’t. A lot of the times it’s better for retention if I don’t. If you click the vid and it’s a lake you don’t care about or haven’t heard of, you’d click off. If I don’t name it it keeps you watching until I say it and you either don’t mind what lake it is by that point, or you click off. I know it sounds weird but RUclips is an interesting algorithm lol
Great job, liking the new boat!
Thanks, I'm loving it so far!
Yes, can finally confirm. Sooooo good man

Some of the best catfish bait in the country. Lol, 1st video of yours I've watched, great video
Thanks! I love catfish fishing too, but we’ll be gettin’ into that soon enough! 🎣

Thanks for watching man! Glad you liked it!
love crappie fishing
Agreed, they are awesome! This was my first time from boat and I’m hooked!
Water in the livewell or ice will keep your fish fresher tasting in the Arizona heat .nice crappie
I've been trying for crappie, but apparently need a boat. Shore fishing for crappie in AZ is tough
Its tricky this time of year id say. Spring you can get em from shore easier but now they suspended in open water
The kid was on fire !!!

Good job. Been learning how to crappie fish myself. Started at Pleasant, then Bartlett now Roosevelt.

@TheFishinMagician20 it's honestly the lazy man's fishing. Granted I don't use livescope or none of that. So it makes it a tad harder.
Underrated in Arizona, but a Delicacy here in Georgia, 👍🏾
⚠️Man I need to start targeting some crappie! Great sesh with Pops and Congrats on some good eating fillets! 🔥🎣🤙🏽

Nicee slabs!!!!
Thanks! They only get bigger next video 🔥
If there are larger fish, they would be deeper down below the small ones.
