    Great video. If at all possible, can you include BG3 data in the bios comparison videos as well? It is more difficult for the handheld devices to run, but it’ll be cool information to have. If you can’t no worries, I understand it’s a lot of work.

      Thanks! I just opened up Space Engineers and the earth starter base seems to run pretty well. It'll definitely depend on how much you build. I was getting around 70FPS on the earth starter base on medium settings / 1080p on Turbo. Around 50 or so on performance which is pretty good.

    Once FSR 3 with frame gen comes to the Ally on the 24th, it'd be cool to see if framerate can improve in AAA titles at lower wattages such as 12W. It could mean a huge boost in battery life while still getting decent FPS.

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, I tested out the preview drives and just released a video on it. The biggest issue is input lag, and it adds quite a bit. So you want the base frame rate to be high. I think the ideal use case would actually be using more power to get high FPS. At lower TDP the Ally is great with it's LFC (Low Framerate Compensation), allowing it to get to 30FPS with VRR.

  • @WillySou

    Man I love the 15W performance we're getting with the Ally....just one question : are you going with 900p and RSR ? Why aren't you sticking with the 1080p version?

    • @filt3rless
      @filt3rless  9 месяцев назад +2

      I always run 900p with RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening). RIS just sharpens the image some and it works at all resolutions. It also has no performance impact. With RSR you have set the desktop resolution to 900p for it to work in games like Diablo 4, Forza Horizon 4/5, and others because they're running in window borderless mode.
      And RSR does have a performance impact that can vary from game to game. For me it wasn't worth the hassle, so RIS is something I've used for years and can just toggle it on and forget about it. Just simpler IMO.
      Hope the info helps :)
