I bought a 7800x3d bundle in Fairfax, VA, and the salesperson told me I can't swap out parts like the RAM and motherboard in the bundle. I get that, but I’ve noticed that in a lot of RUclips build videos, people are always swapping parts. It would be helpful if this was clarified more clearly upfront in the advertising or at the store.
From the Micro Center videos I've watched, you are able to swap out certain parts but there may be a slight adjustment to the bundle package price. I have seen people in the vids do it quite often.
It’s an older policy. New rules are no more swaps. They used to allow it because not that many people did it, but once everyone started swapping bundle parts it defeated the purpose of even having the bundles to begin with
