Thanks for reacting to this video. I'm a US citizen and didn't adequately realize the tremendous value of geography until I watched this video.
Another reason that the US is such a successful country that is not mentioned in the video is that it has been a destination of immigrants from everywhere across the world.

Hello from the top of the Chesapeake Bay where the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake in Maryland.

Only about 3-4 other nations have comparable geographic size and strength, but they all are near to each other by modern standards, whereas the US remains mostly isolated, with only potential far future threats being if Mexico or Brazil miraculously developed and decided to turn hostile.

Our only weakness is in the lizards we allow to rule over us... and over you too.

The US is actually more capable of self-sufficiency than this video says. There are very few resources or manufacturing capabilities that the US doesn't possess. While it's true that the US Imports a lot of products, it's mostly done out of economic convenience. Other countries don't necessarily have the same regulations and restrictions on manufacturing that makes it more difficult to do in the US, but those are entirely man-made hurdles.

While the Midwestern farmland grows things like wheat and corn (most of which is used for industrial uses or animal feed), California is actually the agricultural heartland of the US. Around 2/3rds of the nation’s fruits and vegetables are grown there.
