I've a 6P in a bootloop, but it will not go past the google sign. It'll go into the boot menu, but will not enter recovery mode. The power button isn't stuck. any idea how to fix it?

I have TWRP and when I go to unroot/soft brick (I have no OS installed), it's still stuck at Google logo after the scripts and everything finishes up.
Am I out of luck if my 5X was already on developer preview 7.1.1? There's no OTA image for anything newer than that and attempts at flashing an older version were unsuccessful.

'adb devices' is not listing my device in recovery mode, it is listing on bootloader screen. What could be wrong?

Hello, I have pixel 2 xl updated to latest Android 10 with March security patach. My phone's battery was drained and I charged it to full while in switched off mode. Now my phone is stuck on bootloop. How should I start it without loosing all the data.

This is my first time doing this. What does it mean to "reinstall the drivers"? I'm on a mac and there does not seem to be any communication from the command terminal to my phone though I have it plugged into my computer in ADB sideload mode. I have fast boot and add on my computer and did all the installations.
Can this method use for factory reset protection triggered devices ? Normally if FRP occurred in nougat there nothing can do

Holy f***! This was the only actual thing that worked! In my case, nexus 6P, had to download an Oreo 8.1 OTA and then do the process. ADB device wouldn't be recognized but then i switched USB port to 2.0 (was using a 3.0) and then it recognized it. In case anyone is having similar issue! Thanks!

Thanks for the USB port 2.0 catch. That worked for me to get the phone serial# in list devices option when using command "adb devices".
After that, I installed the .zip file of OTA 8.1.0 successfully. I got the message on PC command prompt and my Nexus 6P of successful completion.
Finally, I did the "Reboot System now" option from "Recovery mode".
Still, It is going to the reboot loop mode. And is not going to the next screen.
Any help is much appreciated.
I'm on the latest Oct Released Oreo stuck on bootloop, which OTA image should I use? If there's no other newer version available?
Since this is installing an official Google version, will it only work temporarily? After doing this should I unlock the bootloader and then go ahead and install one of the versions on XDA that uses less cores?

i'm doing a factory reset on nexus 6 from within setting and its taking a very long time. i'm on the animated large circle on black screen with word 'erasing' visible. its been that way for over half an hour. is this normal or should i interrup this and do a hard reset? please help! I'm on android 7.0. I try to restart and even get into boot loader but it always goes back to the erasing circles on black screen! helppp!!!
Nexus5x just crashed after updating to Oreo (stable not a preview). Problem is at the moment there is no newer version than 8.0 (sigh)

Hi whats about if we can not go to recover mode can we flash with fastboot mode? i have huawei 6p i can only go to fastboot and it boot loader lock i can not unlock boot loader

Hello, I saw your video of unbrick nexus devices but my nexus 6p is stuck in the google logo, it enters fastboot but it does not let me use the recovery always sends me back to bootlogo logo, I am in 7.1.1. Will there be a solution?

could this overwrite an FRP lock? now oreo is out for nexus 6p, i don't wanna try it though cuz then im on even newer software but still locked out of the phone lol
Or even better: is the system update seperated from the security patch? Might be able to paste an old security patch to downgrade it.

Does this work with USB debugging off? I tried to do a factory reset which means it erased all of my settings.
Using Nexus 6P on the latest build OPR5.170623.011, Nov 2017, tried whatever mentioned above, able to get through to flashing the device, but no luck, have any suggestion's my bootloader is locked, thanks in advance.

What i did was, i tried to install image for Bullhead but by my mistake i installed Hammerhead ( which is for Nexus 5 ) with ' flash all ' option. Since then, my phone is dead, but when i plug it on computer it recognizes it as a Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008.

Got to the point of verifying connected devices using "adb devices". No device showing up. Tried installing usb driver from LG, google usb drivers through device manager-update driver software. Windows says can find driver software. Please help.

So Initially my stock Nexus 5 phone was boot looping every few seconds. I unfroze the power button but now the boot looping is just slower at every 10+ seconds. When I select recovery mode I get the word Google in white and then the lying down android with the words "no command" below it. It eventually tries to resuming booting getting a couple of the colored round icons on the screen, freezes, then reboots. Pressing the up arrow then the power button has no effect and I've tried all combinations of buttons and cannot get the menu you show in this video.
The recovery mode window shows the phone is in fastboot mode
THe bootloader is HHZ20h
Worked like a charm! Was installing custom ROM and somehow OEM unlocking got disabled and it was soft-bricked. Doing this got me back into the OS and was able to save the device.

I tried with my locked bootloader Nexus 5 that is boot looping, and anytime it gets to load the files to the phone, then my phone restarts to yellow triangle where I have to press power and volume up to Boot to recovery, is there still any hope
when i enter the command adb sideload "c:......" my phone sais E: can't open/cache/recovery/last log, E: failed to mount /cache

well i can't seem to find any information, i just stumbled upon this video. i have a device which is unable to acces "bootloader mode" download mode did work for in the beginning but now the nexus (5x) glitches out when i acces that too. it's stuck on loading the "download mode" and then it just restarts and the bootloop turns into a restart loop.

This Nexus 7 is a tougher nut to crack than expected. I can't format it, can't sideload builds, can't do anything without getting the dreaded "can't mount cache" error. Yes, even trying to wipe the cache partition ends in disappointment. So should I presume that the flash storage inside the system is faulty?

The bootloader is locked on my Google Pixel 2 which does not allow me to get into Recovery Mode. Clicking Recovery Mode send me back to the bootloader screen. Any suggestions???

I have a nexus 5x and is currently under bootloop with a locked bootloader. I managed to get into the recovery mode and able to upload the OTA file as instructed in the video. However, the update stopped at 94% with message as "No error". After that I restarted the system but still the phone is in bootloop. Can you please help? I am having this OTA - 8.1.0 (OPM3.171019.016, Mar 2018) - This is written at the top of the phone (in the recovery mode)

I am facing same issue on nexus 6p, i tried your method and it completed without any errors as shown in your video but still cant get out of the bootloop.
From 8.1.0 (OPM1.171019.011, Dec 2017) to 8.1.0 (OPM3.171019.013, Jan 2018).
Also if i check in recovery now, its still showing OPM1.171019.011. Any clue??

what if the phone is oem locked and recovery isnt available? Seen people put their phone inside the freezer so it can boot up for a short time to unlock bootloader but mine stuck at the google logo.
Nexus 5X does not enter the recovery mode at all, only restarts. The device status is also locked. Please advice

THANK YOU!!!! simple process if you know 2 things. nothing happens unless you select adb mode before you start typing adb devices and it will only take the zip unpacked and i think i had to have it the same folder as the comand window. its working now but those 2 little tidbits took several hrs of cognition and I am tired but thanks!!!!!

Hi rootjunky I've got the same problem on my next 7 2013 then I turned it on i was stuck on the marshmallow animation so I did the factory reset and then it got stuck again on erasing with an Android above it gave it about an hour but nothing changed so now it stuck on Google logo. I've tried to go back onto the recovery mode but it won't let me in please i really do need help or any help with this. I paid a lot for this tablet don't really want to fork out another £200 thank you for your time
Does NOT work with Nexus 6p. I just tried it still boot looping. Probably best thing to do is ask Hauwei or google for a new phone and hope you are still covered by warranty.
This is a HARDWARE issue not software so placing new software will NOT fix it.
