Hi Mr James, I do automotive detailing for a living and have tried many different hair removal solutions. The pet rock / furzoff / pumice stone that you used does a fantastic job. But for sensitive materials like wood grain, or plastic trim inside of a car it can very easily scratch it. I've also had it actually damage some carpet. The Lilly Brush is what all detailers recommend, but like you said it's extremely time consuming to use. What I find works the best for me, is using a rotating brush head first and foremost, then follow it up with something like the Lilly Brush or a rubber dish glove. Hope that helps, love your channel!
Came here to say this. A lot of detailers use the stone but you have to be VERY careful around plastic. I've scraped up some trim pieces with even the lightest touch from the stone. Good for large areas but for the detail work the Lilly Brush is the best.
I'm a professional detailer, and all the guys in my shop switched from the Furzoff type stone to the Lilly Brush for that reason. Also, it's not as harsh on carpet mat.
@Danielle Anderson my cat has long silky hair so any hair that does go into the sink slides down easily, but any big connected peices of hair I just take out and throw in the trash, its all wet and jointed together at this point. (Wash ya hands after ofc)
@@Freakinreviews Lol not to mean any disrespect as I loved it! But I couldn't help but go "...maybe I have similar items laying around I could re-purpose".

@@acywei but do you really want to pull out your credit cards to scrape dog hair off the floor? I couldn’t think of a worse way to use a credit card. Taking out the card you use to pay all your expenses with, and then scraping it on stuff damaging it and getting nasty dog hair on it. It’s only 13 bucks for the Lilly brush, credit cards can be worth thousands
Yep! I have installed it for years. Then one day seen this at Bed bath and beyond. Only difference is there is a treated side for the sun on the gutter guard. Cut that off and you have the pet wedge.
The mini pet hair remover does indeed work well on car interiors (carpet and seats) but to me its still a lot of work so I just bought a whole pet seat cover . Its padded, water proof, scratch proof and the best thing is its easy to clean. I just use a wet microfiber cloth to wipe away the dirt/hair and I'm done in less than a minute. Please do a review on these seat cover for pets, there's a bunch in amazon. Also it's another reason to see more of Bailey.😃

Hey james been watching the channel since the early days and love all of the small improvements its had. Apologies in advance about the long comment but I wanted to tell ya that ive worked in the car detailing buisness for 6 years now and have been using the furzoff on the interiors for all 6. The comment u mentioned about it ripping cheap carpet is somewhat true. Loose carpet like car (not the floor mats) the actual carpet does actually tear up but sometimes when stuff is stuck to carpet it comes in handy if used properly. The way it wears is slighty odd too as the rock gets used daily hours on end it doesnt flatten or bald it actually just fades away until it doesnt exsist of course replacement is recomended well before then. Anyways theres my exp with the furzoff. Stay healthy James!
I work as a janitor at a dog friendly office building and they gave me a pet wedge for under desks and I think it's an awful product lol but I guess it depends on what surface you're using it on and how tangled into the carpet the hair is.
Hey the lilly brush works the best on really stiff and hard material. A tooooooooon of those car washing/cleaning RUclips channels uses the lilly brush to get the hair out of car seats as they are notoriously stubborn. But I agree, it seems to take a lot of energy.
As a Detailer myself I can say it may require more effort than these other two, but I assure you’re correct with the Lilly brush being better on super hard material. And even the more effort is still better than the effort you would have to put in using none of these
Thanks, James - again when you do these types of reviews it helps make a decision if I even want to try it AND what is it really like. So for this one those three items, which I have seen before in the store or online, are exactly what I thought they looked like they were. AND because of you I don't have to waste time "finding out" THANKS again - you save me lots of cash and time with your reviews
I’m in my late 60s with decades of pet hair experience. Cats, dogs, goats, poodle mixes, long or short hair, terriers, Labrador retrievers, mixed breeds all have been a part of my life experiences. I liked the pet wedge best because of the more gentle texture to protect materials. Almost all of these work best with a vacuum close by. By far and the least expensive remover on furniture and clothing has ever been my damp hand. A damp wash cloth or my bare damp hand. EXTRA helpful tip… When doing cooking prep, white paper towels are wonderful for removing poultry skin and fat deposits. Thank you and Bailey for sharing your experience with these methods. Regards…
Love the variety here with different fabrics and situations! Really appreciate the effort and so so much dog love. Angela Brown (the queen of house cleaning!) did say the pumice stone one works best on those car fabrics, where the hair tends to REALLY dig in and stay embedded in the fibers, and one way to help the stone rub it off easier is to dampen the fabric itself first with a 7:1 water-fabric softener solution to loosen it up.
Lisa DeGraaf you know what really works??? Packing tape, but it’s expensive to use it that way. If I’m going to an interview, I’ll use the tape remove all signs of cats LOL
Could you do a review on the fog spray that they have for people that wear glasses that have to wear the mask you know the stuff that basically keeps your glasses from fogging up One of the products on Amazon is called cat crap and I was wondering if you could do a review because I do physical therapy now three times a week do to my head on collision I had back on December 31st where I broke 8 bones and I have to wear a mask and I'm looking for something I can put on my glasses so I can keep them from not fogging up when I'm working out please let me know thank you
I found if I fold down a bit of kitchen roll, or that blue tissue roll stuff in to a long strip and slip it across my nose to sit just under the metal nose grip of the mask its stopped my visor and glasses fogging up at work, nothing else has worked for me but it does look and feel a little bulky.
I’m in Canada. Been trying to get my hands on a lilly brush for ages. Trying to clean dog hair out of the car is always a struggle. If you check out the Detail Geek, he uses the Lilly brush for his detailing business👍🏻
I have that small Lilly brush and it works fantastically on removing cat hair from my sofa. I have a bigger 12" wide one with two rubber fins on a handle that is used for the rug. They really work best when you vacuum first, then use them to get the stuff the vacuum missed. Lint roller for my clothes, though, all the way.
I would have liked to see a comparison with a regular lint brush and the Hurricane lint brush from the previous review. I recently got the "Chom Chom Roller" which is a lint brush that cleans itself like the Hurricane, and I love it. But watching this, I feel like the traditional red velvet lint brush would work as well as any of those three. (I have three short hair cats.)
One test I'd like to see on every product is only dug-in hair. Like hair that's partially in the fabric. I bought the Fur Wizard but it only takes loose hair. I have a collie and a gerberian shepsky which equals a lot of white hair stuck everywhere.
As an owner of the furzoff (however it's spelled) I've been meaning to purchase a lily brush (and keep forgetting) because the rock is way too coarse. On older carpets and materials it can very easily damage them, and with even moderate use, I've found the rock to actually be reducing in size. There are sections of it that I have flattened out with a single use, so it won't last as long as the wedge or the lilly brush I would imagine. It does work great though, despite some of the worn off bits of the stone being left behind in the cleaned material. Vacuuming pulls it right up. Not a concern with the other 2 products.
me too 100%, I tell others, this channel always puts me a good mood. Doesn’t matter what he’s reviewing. Love when he runs around at night with light bulbs on his clothes.
I discovered you from the cereal videos. And then have been binge watching your reviews even though I don’t really have any interest in the product. Its just entertaining to watch you talk!
I watch some car detailing videos every now and again, and the guy uses something like the Lilly Brush to do his cleaning, though it might be an older model of it. Always looks like it does a fantastic job on the car interior.
Thanks for the videos, Loved them all. I tried the 6pack green dish scrubbers from the dollar tree, they worked the same as the wedge. I was kind of impressed with the results. for a quick clean up on black jeans.. at the moment.. it cleaned like 90% of hair off, I have a tuxedo cat. I tried to clean it afterwards, it was sort of a pain for me so figured it did the job for the day so I disposed it. one last this it's kind of abrasive so not recommended on polyester.
The best one I've found is the Pledge Fabric Sweeper. They are disposable but I found it you break off a little piece you can empty it and put it back together to use again.
Call around and see if a local grooming parlor has the Save ur fur bathing system. And schedule a undercoat removal. Totally worth the price. They use a special nozzle to gently and safely blast the undercoat loose and flush it out of the coat. Works fantastic without the risk of brush burn when removing the undercoat. And as a bonus she will be super clean! It’s totally on my list of things to purchase if I ever hit the lotto! Save ur fur bathing system, dog tub, and a high speed dryer/blower.
It's ALWAYS a great video when BAILEY is in it! The Pet Wedge looks like a piece of the foam you get at Lowe's or Home Depot to be used inside of gutters to keep them clean.
A window squeegee works like the Lilly brush but lots better. It is great on carpet. I have the stone and it works great and is easy to clean, you can even rinse if off. I agree its not good on delicate fabrics.
Bailey!! You 2 were so cute. I loved Bailey's bloopers. I believe you were thinking of a pumice stone that people use to remove callouses on their feet, I feel like it would be too rough on many fabrics. The Lilly is too small and too much work for big jobs but would be useful to keep in a glove box or briefcase. The Wedge is just a junk of industrial foam that's used as a filter medium in many applications including aquariums, the draw back I see to it is cleaning the hair off it.
There’s a stray cat that sleeps on my outdoor furniture in the gazebo (I’m guessing to get out of the elements). I really don’t want to use my Dyson outside so, this was an excellent test for me to make an informed decision towards the purchase of a pet hair tool. Outdoor fabric is incredibly durable so I’ll most likely do well with your pick. I love your channel, it makes my purchases smart ones. Information is power! Thanks ❤️
Nothing beats the Hurricane Fur Wizard for clothing! I just got one a couple weeks ago and I love it! I use it whenever I have to go out. Thank you for recommending it!
I got the KingKomb deshedder and hair remover all in one and let me tell you, this thing is amazing! The deshedder works great and is retractable for easy hair removal and the surface hair remover works wonders. It's really comfortable to hold while doing either task.
Thank for the comparison. We have two Corgis and over the years various other pets with long fur. I don't believe one thing is the best over all because it depends on how much fur and the material. I've used the wedge you presented for years on the car carpet, works great. It helps to gather finer fur that can then be sucked into the vacuum. The search continues and again, thanks.
The pointing when someone sneezes thing is something I do too 😂 I also happened to be brought here from a review of uproot clean…and someone mentioned how great the lilly brush is. I actually really like how thorough you were with testing these products because I would be using them for exactly those things 👍
The pet wedge looks _exactly_ like a small section of a certain kind of gutter protector designed to keep out leaves while still allowing water to flow. They're $5.99 for a 4 ft. section at Home Depot. The Lilly brush is also available at Home Depot. Just look in the caulking or grout sections for a finishing tool, or buy a silicone spatula at the dollar store and slide the top off. The last one is just slag pumice. Better stuff is available at Home Depot for $2.50, mostly used for cleaning pools and cleaning grilling tools, though there are many other uses. The best pet-hair remover is a brush attachment on a vacuum, followed by a lint-brush to get the fine stuff.
I used the fur-zoff a few years ago to get all of the dog hair off the seats in my car before selling it. I loved it, and yes all it is is a pummice stone. You can go buy the pummice stone at the $tree and get the same result. I keep one in my glovebox now. I love it and use it on everything. I am the dog sitter for my while family. So on average I will have anywhere from 2 to 8 dogs in my car at any one time. I use the pummice stone for any dog hair clean up needed....
That's an aquarium sponge. Search for flexus brush if you want fast and good results. There should be a mini pocket version as the big one isn't that great with flat hard surfaces. It's basically the stuff you see on your vacuum, but works both sides and collects the hair in the center.
I like the Lilly brush best cause the others a rough and can scratch things that are close to carpet. Mostly used for car detail. Also for fine fabric the others it can shred them.
I LOVE the Lilly brush. I found it watched car detailing channels. The Lilly brush has been the best to clean off the cat tree. I paired it with the dyson attachments and the cat tree looked brand new. The pet wedge is in my mom's SUV and it worked great too. Cleaning the wedge is a hassle. You basically have to wash it to get the hair out.
Thank you Bailey for another awesome contribution!! That was ruff...lol. Me, a rubber cleaning glove... never fails! I got cats... those hairs weave into fabric like gravity itself has adopted it! Great review... pumice stone... stays in the shower for my feet.
My number one recommendation as a former house keeper is a dollar store shower squeegee and or a $5 dollar floor squeegee. The issue I have with the Lilly brush is it’s too narrow. A wider squeegee works more efficiently.
I got a lilly brush a couple weeks ago. I think it works excellent on my inner lining of my couch and the car. May try the furzoff for comparison though!
10:13 that would've been me! The glorified credit card, though maybe a little more tedious, looks like it performs in similar fashion (possibly a little better according to what the scraping material is) to a dollar store squeegee which I personally love for carpet. A squeegee will even get 10 yr old embedded hair out. Don't ask me how I know. The stone looks like a marketed pumice stone. Car detailers swear by that as the best thing to take pet hair out of automotive carpet. They also depill clothes (shirts, sheets, etc) and take stains off toilet bowls. I'm thinking of trying one out as well.
Friends of mine who have dogs and cats that shed I just wet my hand and wipe off the fir. It works pretty well. I've also used a damp wash cloth and that works well too. I'm not sure how well either of these techniques would work on carpet or furniture.
wtf That reticulated foam -- the *flipping expensive one which he rated last* -- can be purchased in bulk at Wal-Mart or any fabric store for ~$3/yard. Please don't waste your money.
Oh i love Bailey, she is sooooo beautiful, n her personality is wonderful. I sure appreciate your reviews on everything, thank u so much for sharing these. Take care.
For anyone in the comments who needs a cheap alternative, any silicone brush or squeegee will do the job and works better if your dip it into a bucket and keep moist, to give smaller, finer hairs something to cling to. Rinse and repeat. It will even collect up the fine, skin flakes dropped by you or your pet on bedding. Just keep it moist, not wet. On carpet, a silicone broom and a misting bottle speeds up the process. Great to pull the fur out before cleaning the carpets to save it being further embedded.
I am not a fan of Lilly Brush but in the long term, it will keep your ( whatever you used It on ) as it is not like the Fur-Zoff and it is easier to clean than the Pet Wedge and that is why most of the car detailer that I know give a high rating for Lilly Brush. thank you for the great video.
My Dalmatian (also Bailey) sheds year round and her hair is too short and stiff to get up easily with any pet brush. A car detailer I follow (DetailGeek) swears by Lilly so I plan to get that as soon as I can.
In the car detailing world, you see one Detailer after another, after another using the Lilly brush. I’ve used a pumice stone (your #3 brush) and it does good. I do need to buy a Lilly brush and see what all the fuss is about for my vehicles.
I have a mitt with "miracle brush" directional material which works great on furniture and in the car. It works on clothing also, but I prefer a lint roller for that.
I need these compared to a ruff sponge, a credit card, and a pumice stone.
I thought for sure he was going to bust out a credit card when doing the couch. I would have had to.

If you're going to remove fur from a shirt, I feel like a lint brush makes more sense. E.g., the Hurricane Fur Wizard that you already reviewed.
You always put 100% into your reviews
Your dog is so cute
From one pet lover to another
Bailey is lucky to have a good daddy
Always get excited when I hear, "Baaailey, Bailey!" ☺️
Also, very useful information on these products for my pet fur at home, thank you!
I love your pet videos. Thank you!
That Pet wedge looks like a repurposed Aquarium filter.
Love seeing so much of Bailey!
100% great review and I agree Furzoff is best ✌💗😸
Thanks ❤️
thank you for this wholesome video. some good bailey content in these trying times. 🥰
I think a cordless vacuum and with its power brush works fine. Plus it sucks up all the hair and dander which hair removers won't. Great video.
Yeah my Sharp Apex vac is still my go-to pet hair solution.
@@Freakinreviews , i would love to see you yest a carpet cleaner machine. You wouldn't believe what hidden dirt they can find.
I love Bailey and I'm so happy she got a large spot in this video. Keep the bailey spotlight coming!!
The pointing when someone sneezes thing is something I do too 😂 I also happened to be brought here from a review of uproot clean…and someone mentioned how great the lilly brush is. I actually really like how thorough you were with testing these products because I would be using them for exactly those things 👍
Totally LOVE how you tested couch, carpet, shirts, and mat! Next time, bed sheets!
Your reviews are awesome. And even if they weren't, I'd still watch for my Bailey fix.
All of us in RUclips land love Bailey!!!!
I really appreciate this episode! I needed to buy this for my car and couch!
Oh a whole Bailey video!!!!!! I'm in Heaven. 😍😍😍
👍Exactly what I wanted to see & know.
👍Thank you for demoing & sharing your review. 💝
👍😂I also want to try using those tools on the dog. 😂
Ohhhhhhh yesss IV been waiting for you to do the Lilly brush
I really enjoy your vids, especially the more unusual ones. Keep it up, keep it cool, keep it freakin' ;p
I like the Lilly brush best cause the others a rough and can scratch things that are close to carpet. Mostly used for car detail. Also for fine fabric the others it can shred them.
I gave a immediate thumbs up because of the joy you had playing with the big fluffy pup.
LOVE Bailey!!!!!!!!! Maybe vacuum surfaces first then use fur removal tools would give more accurate results.
Thank you Bailey for another awesome contribution!! That was ruff...lol. Me, a rubber cleaning glove... never fails! I got cats... those hairs weave into fabric like gravity itself has adopted it! Great review... pumice stone... stays in the shower for my feet.
I bought the lily 'brush'. I was sceptical how good it was, but it really, really shines on carpets. Definitely the best car tool I've bought.
Our rabbits have been shedding up a storm! This review came out just in time. Thank you James for another good review.
Yes!!! My favorite review spoke person upload a video and made my day.
Friends of mine who have dogs and cats that shed I just wet my hand and wipe off the fir. It works pretty well. I've also used a damp wash cloth and that works well too. I'm not sure how well either of these techniques would work on carpet or furniture.
I LOVE the Furz-Off, but as you found out, not for some clothes, but for furniture or our cat tree, it's amazing.
wtf That reticulated foam -- the *flipping expensive one which he rated last* -- can be purchased in bulk at Wal-Mart or any fabric store for ~$3/yard. Please don't waste your money.
Oh i love Bailey, she is sooooo beautiful, n her personality is wonderful. I sure appreciate your reviews on everything, thank u so much for sharing
these.
I have 3 Siberian huskies. When one of them leaves a room, where you brushed Bailey is like them just existing
Like he said doesn't work as well as some of the commenters on Amazon
I have a mitt with "miracle brush" directional material which works great on furniture and in the car. It works on clothing also, but I prefer a lint roller for that.
The "pet wedge" is literally just a peice of gutter gaurd that you can buy for 7 bucks for a 4 foot long peice....
