I've been using the stone for years. Best tool for pet hair removal. I tried other tools like Lilly brush and carpet brushes, but nothing compares to the stone. You need to use some fabric softener diluted in water 7 to 1 ratio. Mist it on the carpet then use the stone.
I never thought of misting the carpet first. Thanks!
it destroys some carpets though, rather try lilly brush drill brush and compressed air. also its easier to get the hair out after its been shampoo'd
@@tannercorbett I do not use a stone anymore. I use the fur- eel.
Where do you buy a pet stone?
A spray bottle of 1 part fabric softener and 7 parts water mixture helps with the pumice stone method. Gets those embedded hairs to loosen up and pull out.
Just got a car from a friend of a friend. It looks like cats just lived in the damn car. No amount of vacuuming worked. Definitely getting the petstone!
You’ve given me hope! 😂 I always just wrap my hand with duct tape and run it through my jeep but this sound way easier and reasonable. 😅
I'm so glad that it helped thanks for watching appreciate the support
was not expecting that result. from my experience with using a similar stone for calcium deposits on showers and sinks I expected it to be more brittle and break apart. Awesome to learn something new from a video.
Thanks for saving me from wasting money on the Dyson. As for the other 3 methods, I feel a plain dry rubber glove or damp hand skin work better!
Petstone all the way!!
Fur Zoff is the brand.
Carlos Domenech o
Your review is so awesome! Thankyou for showing all the different options side by side! Will be ordering the petstone :)
Very cool thanks for the review. Never even knew the pet stone existed… awesome.
Petstone for the win for sure but add in a good 6mil nitrile glove and your golden. You can use your fingers, hand or back of hand and it pulls all that pet hair as well. Also a single finger can get into some hard to reach areas.
This is an older generation Dyson. I compared the shop vac to a dyson V8 and the dyson killed it!
I have the Dyson V10 I picked up from Costco after we weren't happy with the V8's battery life. Highly recommend the V10! That and a cheap rubber squeegee blade are the best two things for cleaning pet hair in my car. The dream team.
"Lets just get into it" spends several minutes monologing.
Let me save you some time. Use a combo of a vacuum, a pet stone and a carpet brush.
Game Rebel appreciate your kind words.
Booooo
The BISSELL pet contour tool is better than any of these! Trust me I have a hairy dog!
badassbubbaj cool good to know. I’ll have to check it out.
There we go
I use compressed air too. Helps get out from under the seats.
i love using the pet stone on carpets or more coarse seat material, and the pet brush for the seats since it is a little more gentle
Bought a petstone without knowing if it was going to work thank God I made a good choice thanks for the Video 🙂
Great video, very informative thanks! I’d never even seen or heard of a petstone before, and I thought I’d seen everything in this department 😃
One thing worth mentioning though; I noticed you’re using the Mini Tangle-Free Turbine Head with your Dyson vacuum (presumably a V6 by the looks of it). Those are alright for bigger vacuums, because the motors in them are able to produce the levels of suction required to drive the head as well as pick up any debris that the head lifts from carpet. However, when used with smaller vacuums, like the Dyson handsticks, most of the suction is wasted on driving the turbine head itself, which means the dirt/hair in the carpet is agitated to the surface but doesn’t really end up inside the vacuum, which I noticed is what was happening in your video.
One solution is to purchase a mini “motorhead” for the Dyson V6, which will have its own dedicated motor (powered by the vacuum’s battery) for driving the brushroll, thus allowing the vacuum to effectively pick up any debris the brushroll agitates to the surface as it goes along.
Another solution is to use a full-sized vacuum cleaner (obviously doesn’t have to be a Dyson) that has its own turbohead, or even better, its own dedicated powerhead. A little more cumbersome, but will provide a much deeper and more effective clean.
I clean house, thank you for the great advise!!! Always need help with hair!!!! Yikes!!
I use a lilly brush to get the bulk. Then I spray carpet cleaner lightly and use my drill brush that's shaped like a bullet head . I hope the vacuum up to the brush and turn it on
Great video! I am shocked that a little stone did a good job in picking that dog hair up over a Dyson. The brush was pretty good too.
The problem with the Dyson is that you have the no tangle tool which would be used on big clubs opposed to the powered mini brush head used to lift up the fibers of carpet
Awesome tha ks for letting me k ow I'll try it out
Great review without product bias. Was helpful in my decision to getting pet hair removal items for the house.
Thanks, that was super informative! I'm trying to start my own mobile detailing business in Saskatoon and I'm going to grab all of these. I just ordered a professional carpet extractor.
I'm going to agree with most people in the comments that are saying to use the stone with moisture,.. the other comments that say the stone will destroy the carpet probably aren't talking about wetting it first or using gentle strokes. Of course something that aggressive isn't good to use on dry surfaces or with a lot of pressure. You want the stone to do all the work. And you should only use the stone in the floor and hatch area
The stone is amazing for big areas. I would use the black brush for areas close to plastic and between seats.
thank you for making this video I was on RUclips just looking how to remove you know pet hair out of my house and and I have learned something about detailing my own car so I got more and more information from you and I did hit the like button subscribe and I'm sure you're going to go well well over a thousand subscribers they also have a very very good voice and you explain so well I can't wait to see more videos
I was trying to remove hair today but didn't have a pet stone. I used a pumice stone that they sell in the cleaning section at Walmart. I also used a dry microfiber cloth and rubbed it across the carpet. That pulled up dog hair too.
For hard to reach areas or tight corners etc, just use the painters tape, stick and peel, wont leave any residue and you can buy a 100M roll for $3.00. A little more effort maybe, but what else is better for getting Husky fur from under car seats!!
Thanks. I have a favorite fleece jacket that is covered in years worth of Golden Retriever and German Shedder Dog hair.
Get that intro to spread across the whole screen brotha.
* 4 cars
I really appreciate this video bro
Use a pair of mechanic gloves with rubber on the palm side. I made the mistake of letting our Husky go for a ride. If anyone is familiar or has a Husky, you know they can drop enough hair to make another Husky in one day. Our brand new two week old Grand Caravan looked like we had murdered our Husky in the van. Regular car vacuum did nothing, our garage heavy duty vacuum wasn’t much better. The glove for brushing dogs to get the hair out of the coat before it’s dropped, did a fair job. I went into the garage to see if I had a rubber brush, and saw my mech gloves. They were new, and I remembered watching a car detailer video on how to detail a car start to finish, outside in, and he mentioned using rubber gloves. I thought what the hell. It worked,! You have to go slow with medium pressure and you get a line of fur that needs to be vacuumed up. I’m sold!!! At least now I can rest easy that I won’t get arrested for killing and de-furring our Husky in the brand new van!!
I use a mix of all of them, but the rubber brush is my favorite. Especially when paired with a vacuum to pull out the hair as you go, and using the rubber blade side rather than the brush. I have a pit mix whose fur absolutely will not come up otherwise - and we spend a lot of time in rental cars traveling.
Try a chom chom roller.
Thank you very much for this video. Never have heard of the pet stone so I am looking to buy this for my car. You are funny. I liked how you came onto the video "yo!" haha. Thank you, JT.
Where do you buy a pet stone and the rubber brush? Pet stores? Never heard of using a pet stone before but I am impressed with how effective it looked on your presentation.
You should try the ChomChom Roller next
Have you tried it? How was it
@@mrstdl4361 It works better than anything I have ever tried... Love it !
@@lindawithem8130 do you think it can actually work well for embedded dog hair in car carpet?
I have one and it works great on mostly everything but definitely not my car where the hair is embedded lol
@@racheldisilvesti7785 I have one as well. It's great for the furniture, useless in the cars
The pet stone works better if you treat the area with a 50 50 mix of water and fabric softener.
Thank You! This gave me a lot of information! I just ordered the stone and rubber brush!
I use a spray bottle and a squeegee . Best for me
Great video/info
I feel the stone tears up the carpet.. then you have piling?
Does the pet stone do any damage to the carpet after using some time? Hey thanks for the video. Great work.
It shouldnt cause any damage as long as you are careful. I haven't had any problems
Wish I would have seen this before. thanks for the info, my employees will love this xD
no worries
Which one would you suggest for upholstery? Bought a used sofa that I didn’t realize had pet hair until yesterday (didn’t notice it when I first when to check it out 7 days prior). I just need a good tool to get up the hair before I have the couches professionally deep cleaned.
I use the stone as well. I haven’t come across a better tool for automotive deta
This is a great video. You should give it a better title with more information in the description! Like the name of the tools you used and their links so we can buy them! :)
He actually sells the pet hair removal stone or look up Fur Zoff
Great video, def will be trying the stone for my VW
I like you already!! Hahaha
You should have used CHOM CHOM, works great
I’ve read on amazon, that the rubber brush works better when the bristles are wet.
+Jersey nurse I’ve read that as well still seems the same to me.
+Jersey nurse I’ve not read this. I’ll give it a try for sure. Thanks
How does the stone work on seat fabric? Seems like it might be a bit aggressive on regular cloth seats? Just thought I'd ask as I've never used the pet stone before. Thanks again for putting this video together!!
boxersq1 it’s actually really good. You just can’t rake it across the fabric. You just have to be careful. If it seems to aggressive then use the rubber fingers. Hope this helps. Let me know your experience and how it went.
@mobile detailing how to get hard water stains out of windows of a car
You can use the pet stone on fabric seats. Just don't rub hard barley rake across the seats
time they made car carpets user friendly, but very good video
Thanks for watching
Where can I get that brush ?
The best brand of this stone is the Fur-Zoff, lifetime guarantee and holds up better.
Thank you. Very helpful. I have pumice in my cupboard so I'll give that a try before duct tape. Do you have a recommended pet car boot covers / slicker to cut future hair mess?
I love how you have about 7 strands of hair sticking up on the left side of your head! LOL!! What cartoon character does it remind me of?? Archie or Jughead? LOL!! I'm just teasing you....Good video, thanks!!
F.....good video, many tk you, very good job.
How about short dog hair like my boxer dog? Impossible to remove.
Did you find out? I’m looking for a good solution too
Our dog has very fine and short micro hairs that are in the upholstery. Is this petstone likely to work on it?
its just a pumice stone basically
Kinda but not really. Ive bought a pumice stone to test and it was different
The pet stone is good for certain occasions but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are detailing someone elses car it can damage the cloth seats and leave scratches on the vinyl. I recommend the pet brush it brushes everything together in with multiple short brushes and doesn’t damage your fabric. Plus it’s inexpensive!!
Is the stone essentially the same thing as a pumice stone? Or more similar to a Furzoff (recycled glass)
Not sure about furzoff but seems different than a pumice. Softer and more brittle
@@LetsGoJT - Pumice. Some is softer than others. I use a pumice on the ring inside my toilet, and it wears down quickly because it's softer to be less abrasive. Yours looks to be a little harder.
When you're done cleaning out the hair, use an enzymatic biological cleaner, like EZ Clean, or others on the market. The enzymes feed on any biological waste, human or dog, and, when dry, will leave the space absolutely clean and smelling fresh. You can get it for your lawn to eat up leftover dog waste to make your lawn smell better and it balances the ph so your grass grows better. You can use it inside for floors, Kitty litters, and dog beds or even human beds. They're fabulous! Use on carpet spots that an animal keeps using for a special pee spot, and it solves the problem because there is literally nothing left for them to smell and reuse. They are widely available at pet stores, big box stores, and online. Best damned invention yet. Spray on, walk away. Water is usually the conduit here. So use water with your enzymes and when the spot is dry is when the enzymes stop working, and problem solved. Some of them you can use in a humidifier to get a room smelling fresh and all odors gone, not masked. You could do a video comparing these types of cleaners. That would be cool!
This guy has a different watch to me. His 20 seconds, is actually 45 seconds. Is Petstone a brand? Looks like a simple piece of pumice rock to me.
fyi, all of these seem quite bad compared to the other tools which u can get. tools that u can also use on your clothes and aren't harmful to any surface.
Is it just a pumice stone like I use for pedicures?
Yes. I use pumice for the ring in my toilet.
Shop vac or Gonzo Pet Hair Lifter. Would beat all those.
Not even close!🤣
I was pleased with the video until the music at the end blaring in my headset.
Those long hairs are easy to get up. Short hair is much harder.
Oh no. That’s why I’m here😮
Very Informative. Great content, thank you.
+potatochip jenkins thanks for the positive feedback
that dyson isnt powerful, he should have used a v11 or v12
Pet Stone FTW!
Thanks for the lecture
Pretstone all ways work
I have the black pet brush, i need a pet stone , where can i find one?
He sells them or for more info: www.furzoff.net/index.php
Can you use the pet stone to clean pet hair off fabric seats?
+Luke Dowling you can but you want to be extremely carefull as not to scratch as i use it primarily on thick pieces. But like i said you can for sure
Another great way is to buy a rubber shower squeegee
Why dont you just buy a chom chom roller is the best for pet hair
The stone sounds scary but I’m investing👌🏽
Works great, you won't regret it!
Get the chom chom haha
Hi could you please send me the name for the things you use to remove the hair
Here's the best one: Fur Zoff pet hair removal stone
Excccccellent video
+goldandrubies thanks for watching
Where do you get a pet stone
Common pumice. But pet stone version appears to be a little harder/denser.
@@PalmdaleGal no it's not common pumice: ruclips.net/video/dPnT8rxbwXo/видео.html
Thank you per stone than gotta
I would like to see you use a chochom roller
ChomChom roller
I'm located in the area of Long beach ca
+Gaspar Dejesus awesome let me find out and I’ll message you tonight
Rubber gloves
Omg thank you!!!
wow...that Dyson animal head is not a great tool...leaves a line down the middle
You should get the Lily brush and redo this competition!
Lilly brush would still lose to the stone.
No comparison the FurZoff stone blows it away!
Need to DESTATIC carpet before any of these trials
How??
Hi! How to find you on Instagram?
Letsgojt

If he had the Lilly Brush he could do the entire car plus a friends car in 20 seconds 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not even close!
@@MarkBoom-BoomBeau 10 seconds?
@@hannahmaria4611 I'd like to see that🤣
GET A LILLY BRUSH OH MY GOD IT GETS 99% OF THE HAIR
ill try it
Best, don’t put your dog in your car. Better yet, don’t own a dog. 😂
One trick you missed --using a squeegee to bring the hairs together, and then vacuum. Works well for me at home
Oh great. I have that at home already. Hope I remember to try.
Were you buy the stone
+Gaspar Dejesus hey sorry it took a minute to reach back. We actually sell the stones. Let me k ow we’re you are located and I can see if it make sense to sell to you or a closer vender. Thanks for watching. We have some cool videos about to come up so don’t forget to subscribe
Holy balls the car is dirty, nevermind the pet hair. Thanks for the demo.
When I searched for: "How to remove dog hair from the car", your video came up second on the list. Thanks. It is helpful.
The fact that I’m watching this video because I have to detail the interior of 3 cars fully covered in pet hair 🤦🏻♂️😩.
I know I’m late! But how did it go?!??
Use the chom chom roller it’s really good
This is exactly why I’m here and not even gonna take it to a detailer. My black carpet is white-golden from my staffordshire. I just need a new carpet at this point
Just did 3 cars covered without a tool. Lesson learned
