Yes Gunther yes! 🙌 👍 👏 I can’t think of ANYTHING that would improve F1 more than Gunther’s single suggestion! How many controversial calls would have been prevented had there been consistently from the race stewards? Thank you Gunther and yes please F1 do that make him your first choice!
I'm pleased to hear that Gunther grew up with some independence and responsibilities like me as a fellow Gen Xer. Of everyone I've seen so far fro F1, Gunther is the first guy I would feel comfortable just hanging out with!
What rule(s) change would I make? Go back to 1986 overal dimensions of the car but with modern V6-turbo hybrids, which might mean a smaller fuel cell than in 1986. But... I would add refueling back into the mix. Also I'd add the 2026 active wings and I would allow full computer controlled deployment and recharge of the hybrid battery energy and allowing a manual override for overtakes. Plus the 1990's active suspension, and I would remove the ban on ALL types of transmission and I would say "feel free to experiment". Even allowing back the DAF Variomatic (CVT transmission), if your engine can handle the continues revs needed for it within the current limit of engines per year.
They have a pretty large following on other platforms and ultimately I think they are pretty funny they make f1 approachable for new fans as opposed to the snobby f1 commentators that just cream themselves over every small engineering change and over observing everything they just speak for a lot of the common f1 fan and I think that’s why someone like Steiner would want to work with them
