  • For 2022 and on Colton, Scott are still on the team and the video explains what this means for the customer experience. We have grown with some new team members that you can see here that follow this same sales structure: dealer.porsche.com/ca/calgary...
    The Sales team at Porsche Centre Calgary has, uniquely, a pooled commission structure or "Team Sell", which takes the awkwardness and stress out of car shopping.

    It is really nice that insted of competing with each other they are competing together as a team to beat their own record. It seems like everyone enjoys their job. This might be less money for some high sellers but it lets you relax use vacay time and work less knowing your co workers got you and you got them.

      @@OfficialPorscheCentreCalgary yeah if only I hadn’t moved from Alberta I would apply to work with this team. Seems way friendlier and warmer to work there instead of the past dealerships I have worked 😅

    I really like your openness and I hope more dealers would do the same (both concerning openness and the compensation structure). This compensation structure turns competition into colleagues.

    Great compensation structure. Other Porsche dealerships should embrace this.

    Great video and love the inclusion of the out-takes. Your system of operation is fascinating and I wish that was something available when I made a purchase.

    What a great team! I'm in the US and I only wish my large metropolitan center had a dealership like yours! Makes me want to buy another 911.

    Hello gents. I hope you are all doing well. I have a question.
    What are any skills or qualities that you can share with me that would make a good salesperson, specifically at Porsche. Is there any specific schooling you recommend or is it mostly things you learn on the job.

      At Porsche Centre Calgary, our sales associates take great pride in their ability to speak confidently about our products, they understand the sales process, and offer a level of customer service unlike anyone else. Our team is empowered to make decisions individually and collectively. We would encourage someone that is interested in this career to be enthusiastic, personable, and have strong organizational skills. Sales experience in the automotive industry or even another industry that sells high end goods is mandatory. One of the most important tasks that one can offer is to be persistent and respectful when following up with their clients. This can be done more frequently with a new buyer, or even regularly with a long-term customer.
      If you’re looking to obtain a degree or diploma that would set you up well for this career, there are specific automotive programs in Calgary, AB and Barrie, ON. Otherwise, a generic business, marketing, or finance program would be of great value.

    Great videos ... true professionals ... question ... how many GT3 Tourings have you sold ? Cheers

      Thanks Brian. We sold 3 GT3 Tourings. Most of our customers opted for the wing. All allocation for that model has been given out, so we won't be getting any more. They are a pretty rare thing. Its too bad there aren't more of them out there. That's my favorite GT model of the last few years.

    Is there an issue if someone is not selling as much as the other and is perceived as dogging it but still shares the pot?

    • @coltonteichroeb
      @coltonteichroeb 5 лет назад +6

      Hi Eric. No, that hasn't been an issue. We are very selective when making new hires to make sure there is a level of competency and a good fit in terms of personality. Fitting into the dynamics of a team and structure like ours isn't easy for everyone and particularly not for many salespeople who are used to working for themselves in a more traditional commission environment. Our additional roles also help fill in the gaps. Its common that one or some of us have not sold as much as others in a given month, but that is made up by doing more of the supplementary work that in the end supports sales as well.

  • @TheDougSpot
    @TheDougSpot 3 месяца назад +1

    That is absolutely horrible, and promotes laziness and resentment among colleagues.
    I can almost guarantee that they’ve abandoned that commission structure by now
