Meh... It was an ok story, but there is no way a humanity pushed to this point would share anything with the enemy. They would have insisted on an unconditional surrender and the alien chancellor would have been executed, at the very least it would've spent the rest of its life in a deep dark hole. The best fiction has a healthy dose of reality and this author has no concept of reality or they are so naive as to be childish...
Those that have will never give it up. It makes no difference the circumstances. If mankind's survival depended on the dispersal of resources , we'd be fucked
The fact that "sharing" is a human concept considered to be a good thing and that "greed" is a human concept considered to be a bad thing, would seem to fly in the face of your claim.
@@ChickSage I should have been more precise. You're right that people will go the extra mile for strangers in a crisis. You see that everyday. But politicians, for the most part, are more likely to vote in favor of the people that finance their election. And they rarely look out for anyone but themselves.
@@jeffjames4064 Politicians, today, vote in favor of there donors. In other words, congressional votes are for sale to the highest bidder. While we were busy patting ourselves on the back and screaming "USA! USA is #1", they managed to make corruption legal and it's only gotten worse with things like the citizens united ruling. Hell, they even tried to make all campaign contributions anonymous and I'm sure they'll try again, if we let them. We're talking about today, though. Human politicians will try to get away with whatever the people allow. I'd like to think the people will put their foot down, some day, before they're ever going to colonize the Universe. Too optimistic?
This was quite good. A backfill story of humanity gathering and developing this technology with some real character development would be awesome!
How can Williams be on the command deck of his ship and in the council chamber at the same time?
And they're fighting star trek villains
I wondered the same thing?
He's a clone
They mentioned a phaser, I'm guessing he teleported there and back
Holograms
Williams was on the Bridge if his ship then wasn't
I'd push the button 😂

Ass
You should show us how it's done, Heinlein, right after you apologize for being such a pecker. ;)

Hogwash! The fact that "sharing" is a human concept, leads me to believe you're being negative.
